Riguardando questo video dopo qualche tempo dallo shooting, la cosa che mi ha colpito di più non sono state nemmeno le pose o certi POV decisamente irriverenti.

È Bea.

Perché mentre davanti alla mia fotocamera stiamo realizzando alcune delle immagini più audaci di tutto lo shooting, lei ride, scherza, parla con me, ogni tanto si gira verso la videocamera e continua a vivere tutto con una naturalezza quasi assurda. Ci sono momenti in cui, guardando quello che sta succedendo sul set, ti aspetteresti tutt’altro clima… e invece Bea magari sta raccontando qualcosa, sta ridendo o mi prende in giro come se fossimo lì a fare la cosa più normale del mondo.

Ed è probabilmente questo che rende il video così particolare: guardi quello che stiamo fotografando e poi senti Bea ridere o parlare del più e del meno come se fosse davvero la cosa più normale del mondo.

Ho tagliato pochissimo proprio per non perdere questa sensazione. Dentro sono rimaste le chiacchiere, le risate, le gag e parecchi momenti in cui ci si dimentica quasi completamente che una videocamera stia registrando.

Watching this video again some time after the shoot, what struck me most wasn’t even the poses or some of the decidedly cheeky POVs.

It was Bea.

Because while we are creating some of the boldest images of the entire shoot, she is laughing, joking, talking to me, occasionally turning towards the video camera and experiencing the whole thing with an almost absurd sense of ease. There are moments when, looking at what is happening on set, you would expect a completely different atmosphere… and instead Bea might be telling me something, laughing or teasing me as if we were doing the most ordinary thing in the world.

And that is probably what makes this video so special: you look at what we are photographing and then hear Bea laughing or chatting about everyday things as if all of it were completely normal.

I cut very little precisely because I did not want to lose that feeling. The conversations, laughter, jokes and plenty of moments when we almost completely forget that a camera is recording are all still there.

Buongiorno miei carissimi FANATICs!

Questo video con Bea mi ha fatto rendere conto di una cosa che durante lo shooting probabilmente davo quasi per scontata: con lei il confine tra il lavoro sul set e la sensazione di stare semplicemente passando un pomeriggio a fotografare insieme diventa sottilissimo.

Bea parla, ride, scherza, si gira verso la videocamera, commenta quello che succede e nel frattempo continuiamo tranquillamente a realizzare immagini che, viste fuori da quel contesto, sembrerebbero appartenere a un set molto più teso e costruito.

Con lei invece tutto succede con una naturalezza incredibile.

A volte ho quasi la sensazione di stare lavorando con un’amica, quasi con una sorella, più che con una modella. E credo che sia proprio questo uno dei motivi per cui con Bea vengono fuori momenti così spontanei anche quando le fotografie prendono direzioni decisamente audaci.

Ho lasciato il montaggio quasi integrale proprio per non perdere questa cosa. Ci sono conversazioni, risate, piccoli momenti assurdi e parecchi passaggi che normalmente finirebbero tagliati perché apparentemente “non succede niente”. Qui invece sono proprio quelli che fanno capire meglio che atmosfera c’era davvero sul set.

E poi ci sono alcune fotografie con Bea che, come sapete, preferisco tenere fuori dai post pubblicati normalmente sulla pagina. Anche in questo caso la nostra SECRET PHOTOS avrà qualcosa da fare. 😏

Per me At Ease è probabilmente uno dei backstage che raccontano meglio Bea: senza costruirle intorno un personaggio, lasciandola semplicemente essere quella che è mentre lavoriamo insieme.

Good morning my dear FANATICs!

This video with Bea made me realize something that, during the shoot itself, I was probably taking almost for granted: with her, the line between working on set and simply spending an afternoon taking photographs together becomes incredibly thin.

Bea talks, laughs, jokes, turns towards the video camera, comments on what is happening and, meanwhile, we calmly keep creating images that, outside that context, would probably look like they belonged to a much more tense and carefully controlled set.

With her, everything simply happens with an incredible sense of ease.

Sometimes I almost feel as if I am working with a friend, almost a sister, rather than with a model. And I think that is one of the reasons why such spontaneous moments happen with Bea even when the photographs move in decidedly bold directions.

I kept the edit almost intact precisely because I did not want to lose any of that. There are conversations, laughter, little absurd moments and plenty of sections that would normally be cut because apparently “nothing is happening”. Here, those are exactly the moments that best show what the atmosphere on set was really like.

And then there are some photographs with Bea that, as you already know, I prefer to keep outside the posts normally published on the page. Once again, our SECRET PHOTOS will have something to do. 😏

For me, At Ease is probably one of the backstage videos that captures Bea best: without building a character around her, simply letting her be herself while we work together.
