It’s not a matter of having a moral compass, if he has already bought the season or has access to it through paid streaming services then it’s perfectly moral to watch it on other sites since you already paid for it and just watch it elsewhere. I’m don’t like piracy either and avoid it, but if watching it legitimately worsens the viewing experience and you have your own copy then go for it.

I personally don't a moral problem if you official, access but choses a better way of watching. Since the end result for the distributor, producers, authors, etc is the same and for you is better, than in a utilitarian way of thinking this is the correct decision.
