You are probably correct. The man would shut down trying to process what's on his screen. I would love to see Luke attempt Aku no Hana. It a whole different level of disturbing. It's soooo uncomfortable to watch. If you've seen it, you will understand what I'm saying. Luke would cry the entire series. He would have a permanent grimace on his face the entire watch. It would be glorious, lol!

you should probably skip part 1 and part 2 (skip season 1) and watch part 3 directly. S1 and S2 are two different shows entirely, if you also dislike part 3 then that's it for jojo. People must watch jojo to basically become a full anime fan and understand all memes.

sadly it wouldn't work, is stated that stand is your spirit/soul manifestation, so if you attack someone their instincts will feel it and react, hence it's a bad way to detect stands. ("spirit manifestation" means everyone has a spirit but only some can manifest it, so inner spirit would feel the threat and the body would react) If you know the golden arrow.. you know what i mean.

I greatly recommend the "JoJo's but really really fast" videos by Viva Riverie, either the first three parts once you're done with the current part, or all of them once you've watched part five. They're funny animated recaps of the show and a must watch for any JoJo's fan who's watched far enough (there kind of are spoilers for part 3 in the first video (though they just seem like nonsense lines if you haven't watched part 3), the second video has like three frames that hint at part 5 but don't really spoil anything, and there's a few jokes in them that have the setup in one video and the punchline in the next. So basically you gotta choose whether you wanna understand 90% of the jokes but wait until after you've watched part 5, or get like 60% of the jokes but watch the first three videos earlier) (or you could watch the first three in a few weeks after part 3 and then rewatch them in a few months after part 5)

I'm not sure if anyone else pointed this out yet, but Enyaba, the name of the granny, is an obvious pun combining the name of the famous singer Enya with the japanese word baba (母), meaning 'granny' or 'hag'.

Shonen anime are marketed towards people from 13 to 19 years old. As such, the level of intellect needed to enjoy this story would be that of a 13 to 19 year old. Very sorry you are unable to understand.

This begs the question. What would you prefer he react to? JoJo is a anime community darling. It's a right of passage for so many. Many watch it simply so they can understand the meme's or be able to hold a simple conversation regarding the story or characters. Some end up enjoying it more as they watch the story progress. So watching it even if it's not your favorite does have it's merits. Also, 38 episode per season bro. You will be waiting a long time.

If the author did as you mention, how would he have progressed the story? JoJo is famous for being an endless series of fights with stand users. Your idea would eliminate most of that because the bad guy would be instantly detected and thus all opportunity for the author to build up any suspense would be gone. It's not a dialogue anime, it's an action anime.

Gotta say, the BSing about John Lennon staying in the hotel and a Bond movie being filmed there, and letting on right away she was kidding? That's honestly the best bit of 'normal person' cover I've seen from an obvious villain in anime, as in it's the kind of silly conversation that actually would put you at ease. Fair play to the creepy witch, rolled a nat 20 on her charisma check there!
