I'm surprised, and a little excited, that this show is getting a chance to be seen. It's a surprisingly good series with internally consistent worldbuilding, a well thought out power structure, and well developed story arcs. The problem with this show is that it runs into the same issue that "Mushoku Tensei" had in that it has questionable elements and characters early on. This makes many people stop watching early and they just start giving blanket generalizations without giving the show a chance. For what it's worth, I appreciate you walking into it with an open mind.

Boost! It's Devil's vs Angel's vs Fallen Angel's. Each girl represent's a different horny teen troupe. So picking a best girl is mandatory. Monster Musume or The Testament of Sister New Devil are other examples of this genre that are arguably better watchs. But oppai anime come in many flavors. So maybe something like Triage X or Valkyrie Drive: Mermaid would be worth considering as well. Season 1 Luke likes the story. I wonder what season 4 Luke will think. :D Genre spacific tournament for tommorw, please.

So actually, japanese cannot show the nether region at all, because it is illegal in their country, so boobs is all you get, and ass i guess. Aw look everybody it's one of those stuck up annoying sub only watchers who think so highly of themselves because they only watch the sub how much of a snob can you be maybe the reason People don't like you stuck up sub only watchers is because you never even give the dub a chance you don't even watch a single episode of the dub you know why I respect dub watchers because a lot of them will watch the same anime all the way through twice one in the sub and once in the dub and then make an informed opinion on what is better and a lot of the time they probably come to the conclusion that the subbed is better 97% of the time but every now and then very rarely the dub will be better this is one of those 3% where the dub is better oh and if you didn't know the dub for this anime actually won an award for it's dub

I actually forgot this rabbit was from Re:Zero, I just own rabbits IRL and this is the cutest profile pick for a white bun! But honestly, I would rather he watch some currently airing, more recent, or just a few more shorter shows than starting ANOTHER long series. I loved when he branched out with things like "A Place Further than the Universe", "Angel Beats", "Saga of Tanya the Evil", "Bunny Girl Senpai" and "Bocchi the Rock". The reason I mention these 5 is that watching all 5 of those shows will take the same amount of time as watching this one and I find it very hard to enjoy it as much as that selection. Then again, I was outvoted in the Poll so it is what it is. But I dont mean this in a bad way, but I suspect most people voted for this because "haha boobs" and will watch 1-3 episodes, then stop.

if i remember correctly, for the blu-ray release, we got nipples in this show, and thats as far as it goes, everything else is clever camerawork etc.. on the broadcasting version, there was clever godrays etc to cover the nips.. i dont remember if scenes was removed or not.

OH MY GODS IT'S HAPPENING! WELCOME TO YOUR FIRST ECCHI ANIME LUKE! <3 Alright so Highschool DxD is an ecchi (lewd/horny) anime. Not a full on hentai (porn anime). This means there are no genitals shown ever. Plenty of boobs n butts, but no dick n balls, vag, or anus. The main genres of the show are ecchi, love com, and action. And it's excellent in all of those fields. The show has aged amazingly well for being from 2012. And yes, Issei is voiced by Yuuki Kaji. Also known for Eren Yeagar of Attack on Titan and Yukine from Noragami. And Rias Gremory is voiced by Youko Hikasa, who you'll recognize as Freya from DanMachi And don't pay any mind to the haters of this show in the comments. This show is a lotta fun and surprisingly good when you don't come in with high expectations. Super glad to see you starting this one and I'll be eagerly awaiting each new episode ^.^

I just checked myself in case anybody was curious. Apparently only the dub version on crunchyroll is uncensored due to the old funimation x crunchy merge and sub only has the broadcast version. Season 1-3 only has minimal censorship from what I've read but season 4 had more censorship.

People dropping with each progressive season was also suggested. None of that matters to the average viewer. Only youtubers care about view counts. So DxD is here. It's likely to displace any who are of a delicate nature. It will be here for at least 6 months, so plan accordingly.

I would stick to the sub and watch the dub later it is incredibly funny but sometimes the dialogue is a bit much for the scene. I think what elevates Dxd above most ecchi is that it can show a good story underneath all of the ecchi themes and the dub can sometimes not capture that as well. So I would say sub to get the true experience first then the dub on your own time, treating it like you would an abridged series.

Idk, I haven't really seen HDxD so I can't speak on this specific Anime but from experience a weeb connoisseur I can say that with very few exceptions ie Death note, Hokuto No Ken and FMA:B, 99% of dubs lose something in translation.

The real issue that nobody seems to realize is hearing someone say something cringe sounds a bit less edgy when your hearing it in another language. Fr, I watched the first two episodes because “I grew up with Elfen Lied and shit, I bet people are overblowing how bad this is!” They weren’t and I don’t understand why the show exists as like, a product. If you want to watch hentai, go watch hentai. Ecchi like HS DxD is hitting a very different, more cheeky and lighthearted beat and satisfying a different media want, but RoH is just like, a hentai but they cut around the explicit sex, and a notably gross one too. It’s bad enough, and notably mean spirited and misogynistic enough, that if someone told me they were really into it I’d probably start backing up slowly and trying to sneakily send a picture of them to an emergency contact.
