Especially with her best role yet that was shown in this episode, Girl B! No one could play the character of Girl B better than Takahashi Rie! 😂

yeah Jotaro is sometimes not the most perceptive, though that at the beginning was partially Polnareff's fault (why didn't he say anything to Jotaro when he stopped? when the fight started he was already like a minute of walking further along the path so it makes sense Jotaro didn't see anything)

Today's episode helped answer that question. Anime directors and writers love to throw random shit into shows. Why? Because they can.

Don't worry, JJBA is not flawless, Jotaro is just being VERY oblivious today He is actively looking for a Polnareff, sees a kid wearing Polnareff's exact clothes (which he's been wearing their entire journey) and Polnareff's hairstyle and he doesn't realise something's up? On the other hand, it's kinda nice to see Jotaro 'Mary Sue' Kujo exhibit at least one flaw

i think its more to do with the fact that most of the source material is accurately adapted. for a manga you get the authors pure intent (with an editor advising them) so it ends up being incredibly pure and very little gets vetoed and it has lead to a bit of an ecosystem where manga artist keep pushing what can be considered normal until we are where we are now. in the west if someone has an insane idea they will usually be told that by the other writers on the project and it will get vetoed.

yeah, in JOJO'S universe, everything look bizzare for us, but for them it looks normal, they also didn't explained the stand power well enough, cuz polnareff as a kid was so dumb he couldn't say his name is polnareff. Luke apply normal logic which is hilarious cuz that's not something you are supposed to do in jojo universe

Luke honestly has zero suspension of disbelief. It's a comedy action anime, of course things are contrived to get to the fights. This isn't some flawless masterpiece, the whole goal is to get to over the top fights as soon as possible.

yeah its episodes like this that remind you that japan is a very, very different culture. I get that they do communal bathing and all that but this ep and the next are always super uncomfortable and I usually skip them on a rewatch.

Yeah I'm not gonna defend this series but there's a popular theory that because Jotaro shot a gun right beside his ear in episode one, he's been mostly deaf in one ear after that. But yeah this Manga was published weekly back then so I personally kinda forgive these kinda bs

I love reading all the comments first and seeing all the annoyed chat, then watching the episode and seeing Luke watch it like a normal human clearly having fun. When he says something like 'I hate jotaro' etc, if you're taking that at face value you really need to think a bit harder on it before you call out the poor guy! He's clearly really enjoying the show, even when it might frustrate him!

The only defense of Jotaro I can give isn't even really a true defense. He has to be either completely oblivious or half deaf purely the plot of the episode to happen. It's like how Castiel spends 70% of his series benched, or how horror movie characters will hear the worst sounds imaginable in an abandoned building with blood oozing out the walls and be like "guess I'll check it out"

Thanks for the series dude. I won't lie, you are the best react channel to watch this series and as long as you're having fun that's what matters. Also, this is the last episode of Part 3 I'd call weak or mid. It turns the dials up after this, and most people think Alessi is a creep. Which he is, and this whole episode is weird not in a horror/creepy way, but more in a weird Japanese way.

This is a stupid position to take. You SHOULD use your brain when you watch Mr. Bean because it's a masterclass of comedy through visual storytelling that relies heavily on multiple through-lines that you won't pick up on if you aren't paying attention. If a piece of media is worth experiencing at all then "using your brain" won't diminish its value, it will strengthen it. You see it as being distracted by flaws when, in actuality, what you mostly see are all the cool things they're doing that you otherwise wouldn't have noticed or appreciated, and that applies to bad and mediocre media as well as good media. Why would you choose to make your viewing experience objectively worse?

I'm just saying that I don't overanalyze things that aren't meant to be taken seriously, I focus on the entertainment value. No not really, it’s weird to just take a child to your house immediately and not go to the police in either situation because she just basically kidnapped him, not the way she bathed him since he was covered in blood and dirt so the cleaning made sense. Polnareff was the one making it weird not the woman. And you also have to take into account Japanese bath/hotspring culture where mixed baths are a normal option you see at places.
