LOL This should be interesting!

TrySky

Luke I know it releases at a weird time weekly but there’s no world where you aren’t reacting to to be hero x by now. It’s the #1 animated series in the world right now and the #2 most popular tv series airing right now. Atleast watch episode 1!!!

diego

Not sure if you reacted to Family Matters or Not Like Us, in this video, but, if it wasn’t already in your plans, you definitely should check them out to see how this beef concluded. Appreciate the unique upload. I had to do a double take when I got the notification lol

diego

I’d love to see him react to To Be Hero X and Yaiba

SapphireBlue2014

On topic of songs: twenty one pilots will release a new song next month. It would be nice if you would react to it. 😊

TrySky

Christian Diaz

2026-09-07 01:00 Going by your logic, Eminem's diss from 8 Mile is a bad diss, because he talks about himself. Drakes diss isn't an exaggeration at all, Kendrick dissed him, so he dissed him back, it would be more disrespectful to Kendrick if drake dissed him on a feature, this shows that drake is serious as he is literally giving Kendrick what he wants. Also you keep saying Kendrick diss was only one line, it was way more then that, you just didn't understand half the bars, he also teamed up with metro, who also hates and went back to back with drake in the past. Drake having ghostwriter is a theory, if anything it's a complement to Drake, it's not confirmed that he has ghostwriter, Drake actually used to ghostwrite a little for Lil Wayne.

“Drop and give me 50,” is alluding to the title of the song “Push Ups,” while also making direct reference to the guy who heads TDE, Top. Kendrick owed 50% of whatever he released to Top. So the meaning is that Drake is begging Kendrick to drop another diss, which he’d inevitably owe 50% of whatever that diss makes in revenue to Top. Sorry if that explanation is confusing

Loving seeing this! One of Kendrick's albums is called Mr. Morale and the Big Steppers If you'd like to see some of Kendrick that's not in the beef (since that's a bit more 'negative' than normal, by necessity), here are some suggestions: ((Mother I Sober from Mr. Morale and the Big Steppers* (this one is referenced in the last beef song, Drake *wildly* misunderstands the lyrics and it's embarrassing AF))) SNL Live Kendrick Lamar 'i' from To Pimp a Butterfly Alright music video from To Pimp a Butterfly Luther music video Kendrick and SZA from his new album GNX There are some other great Kendrick songs but these are straightforward and let you 'relax' a bit while still being great, since there's a lot of dense 'pay attention' stuff going on in the rap battle!

Unfortunately the 'Whitney' line is a double, Kendrick's long-term partner's name is Whitney and Drake's implying infidelity if I recall correctly. Also, Kendrick rapped under the name K-Dot for a while, so if you see someone referencing 'Kdot' or 'Dot' that's Kendrick. The key to understanding Taylor Made Freestyle is about the release dates--Pushups came out the same day as Tortured Poets (4/19), with a leaked version showing up on the 13th. Taylor Made Freestyle came out on April 19th too, according to wikipedia--and Tupac's estate sued, that's why you can't easily find it. Part of the 'strength' of this 'you're taking too long' thing is because Kendrick usually takes his time with things, so the implication is that Kendrick is all cerebral but he can't pull it out quickly (boy was HE wrong). Back in the day, rap beefs were responded on other people's albums MONTHS later, so it's weird to have old school rappers talk shit in fake AI bullshit saying he's taking too long. As someone who bumped that music in my teens I was appalled. (Wikipedia about the Tupac lawsuit) "The estate said that they would have never cleared the AI-generated vocals and said it was an affront to Shakur's legacy; they added that its being used to diss Lamar, who respected Shakur and the estate, compounded the disrespect."

u gotta react to good kid maad city

I can’t wait to follow your hip-hop journey. It’s going to be a ton of fun! You definitely need to react to Eminem, Kendrick, 50 Cent, Kanye (his older music when he wasn’t controversial), Jay-Z, Biggie, 2pac, etc.

Darsy Smith

I just gotta reiterate, because I haven't seen many people talk about it, but the 'I hate the way that you walk' section is a quote from DMX about Drake!! Also later when he says 'you gonna make... bring back Puff' is about Puff Daddy (boo hiss) apparently slapping Drake at some function in the past. I think you'd really enjoy watching a couple of other reactors in the culture reacting to these songs, particularly people like Jay Blac, No Life Shaq, TeeGoCrxzy, Scru Face Jean, and I'mStillDontAI. I'm a 46 year old white lady but let me tell you watching people who are steeped in all of this, who immediately know the lore, it's truly magical. I won't lie I'd also like people who haven't had the chance to see these reactions to get clued into them, each one is valuable and joyful. Here's a 20 minute reaction compilation to Euphoria if any of yinz are interested: https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=YG4kKHPa0pA

When you do family matter you should probably just do the og video on Drake’s channel cause it already has lyrics on it

To Be Hero X

Your points on Drake change is accurate because in the beginning Drake had his own flow/style but at a point in time drake is not in his music. He has some stupid obsession with being somebody he is not he wants sooooo bad to be accept in the quote n quote black community which is the most brain dead thing ever in my opinion. Drake has nice lyrics but throws it all away by just copying the styles of other people. Also this song was taken down because Tupac's family got pissed at him for using Tupac's voice without their permission so they had the song taken down. As for AI snoop drake is a fucking moron who clearly does not understand doing shit like this without peoples permission is going to get major backlash. A lot of rappers do not like drake because he his fake and two faced. One minute he is cool with them and next he is openly or sneak dissing them. Aside from being a Tupac fan or not it is HIGHLY disrespectful to use somebodies voice with AI dead or alive and he does this trying to ride on the reputation of Tupac and Snoop knowing they most likely will not feature on of his diss tracks. "Drake" looks i got Tupac and Snoop on my track which means i can get some points in the black community which in turned got so much backlash all across the board. Your comment on the voice switch up between Drake Vs Kendrick is accurate Drake's voice change is fake and generic while Kendrick's is creative.

Mari

You're right to get a bad vibe from Drake, he always grossed me out ever since I heard him say "You say you're a lesbian, girl, me too" on a song. Super creepy bar and as a gay woman that shit put me off him way before this beef.

Darnell Dickerson

Please react to BBL Drizzy also in the next one is a bonus it's hilarious you'll love it

“Stars, do u like dem?” Becky? 👀 🦗 🐳

Luke, I listened to Josh’s stand-up back when it came out and then I downloaded all the songs and I briefly listened to them, but truly, there is no other way. I would rather experience the analysis of this beef than with you.

Darsy Smith

Okay but every time I even SEE the words 'BBL Drizzy' I get stuck on that damned beat for a good 3 days so thank you 😭

Kenneth Maliwat

A LOT of the lyrics are wrong on this Euphoria video btw, they butchered some of the best wordplay on the song. You might want to just search them up and re-read or watch a Knox Hill breakdown after the fact.

Mari

Knox Hill the GOAT for hiphop breakdowns

shleepy

Glad you are going on this journey—Please watch the superbowl Kendrick performance. it is such an experience (: PLEASE!!!

Kirisaiteiku

Why are these lyric videos and lyric sites always wrong. Like do the people making them even speak English fluently? "The mention must run in your family" -_-
