Luke still got that black and white view of good and evil. 1:35:23 - This is for Luke, since he will not understand. 'Hebi' means 'Snake'. 'Taka' means 'Hawk'. (I typed this out before he read in chat and I don't feel like deleting this.) Luke back to Sakura bashing the moment she stops punching someone, but glazes Hinata non-stop even tho all she does is look around. (granted, yes, Hinata is best girl.) 2:20:56 - Because it is NOT a spoiler unless you know the CONTEXT of them before hand. Speaking as someone who has never skipped an OP or ED (unless it was one hated). It won't ruin the story because all they are are just cool action scenes to you until it actually happens and you piece it together and go "OH! This moment!" I dunno, I just never had a "well, thanks for ruining the mystery/plot for me" moment from watching an opening.

So the reason Madara lost with a full powered Nine tails is because wood style can suppress its power(as Yamato has done with Naruto) wood style is a pretty big deal. Hope that helped, imma just assume you forgot Yamato has suppressed Naruto’s nine tails power a couple of times.

Itachi's motivation is actually reasonable. The thing is, that Itachi didn't consider the clan to be his family. Except for Sasuke. A clan is not the same as a family. From his point of view, the village was his family. So he chose to protect what he cherished the most. Sasuke, and the village they both loved. There is also something else, but that would be a spoiler.

The Uchiha was ostracized, and for seemingly good reason too, a member of their clan controlled one of the most powerful beasts, to commit mass murder and destruction, killing the hokage at the time too, of course the higher ups would want to keep tabs on the clan that was responsible, even if it was just one person from that clan. But because the Uchiha was ostracized, they decided they wanted to overthrow the leaf and plan a coup, but the leaf caught wind of this coup, because of Itachi being a spy. So to prevent a civil war from happening, causing major deaths on both sides, which would weaken the leaf, and allow other nations to take advantage of that, they got Itachi to end the battle before it even started, to protect the leaf from constant war and death. Itachi was the type to try everything before resorting to such drastic methods, he saw this as the only way, he also decided to protect Sasuke from all this. The Uchiha was the most powerful clan, there's nothing that could get rid of the fear for them, especially when just one of them commited atrocities, the Uchiha couldn't handle being put on a leash, the coup would've happend eventually, which would've lead to the world burning. Itachi also only cherished a few things, one was Sasuke and the other was the village itself. Everything he did was to protect them two things.

The dub Killer Bee is GARBAGE compared to the Japanese. I used to like the dub actor, but the Japanese actor is KILLING IT as Killer Bee FAR MORE than the American (and the American actually has an annoying voice now that I can compare the two). I have so been missing out on peakness because of my former dub bias!

He is an entertainer, I tried watch others but they talk too much and are annoying AF, or others just "ignore chat" and are dead silent or dead inside, or no facial reaction. He is in the "middle" Fills that gap. I watched naruto twice at this point, third time I want a unique viewing experience, so him watching chat is entertaining. But it is funny ngl.

One of the things the manga genuinely does better is itachis portrayal. By the time you meet him in part 1 of the anime you think he's 30-something years old but itachi killed his clan when he was only 13 and sasuke was ~8. When he showed up with kisame for the first time he was 18. The manga does a much better job at showing that he was a corrupted child prodigy that got manipulated/coerced by a gov that had just entered a newfound era of peace and was willing to sacrifice children to maintain it.

With Itachi, I think the thing is, you really can't just look at it through a normal lens. Maybe a normal person living a peaceful life would absolutely be against doing anything to their family, but Itachi was literally brought onto the battlefield during a world war at the age of 4 and was deeply traumatized by all the carnage. He wanted, at all costs, to make sure there wasn't even a possibility of that ever happening again. I'm not saying what he did was right either, but it's easy to see why he would make that choice.

Bottom line, Danzo and the elders of Konoha were pieces of shit. But, there was always some element in the Uchiha clan that were rebellious. Even if there were no Nine Tail attack 16 years ago, eventually there would have been some uprising from some among the Uchiha's. Perhaps if long, long ago after the First Hokage was ready to pass his title on, he should have passed it to Madara Uchiha, but he didn't. He passed it to his own brother. Maybe just that little action re-lit the spark of hate within the Uchiha that would never end. So... one of the two clans had to go. Uchiha, or Senju.

If you say so... It's a complete disrespect to his brother's wishes and memory. What's worse, he intend to eventually make innocent people pay too for something they had nothing to do with. If he really cared, he would honor him by stopping and taking time to reflect on what he really should do with his life from now on. But of course, Kishi wanted to keep him as a villain, so he forced this plot line so Naruto's chase could continue. Sorry if you love Sasuke as a character but I think he's terribly written after Itachi's death. He was greatly done before that.

And don't mention the whole revolution and shadow Hokage crap because I think that's a ridiculous concept forced into the plot to have that final confrontation with Naruto that doesn't make sense from a story-telling perspective. And even so, she should've started reflecting on it long ago, short after Itachi's death. So smart, so genius he is and yet the emotional intelligence and maturity of a mushroom. Sorry but you can't convince me that he's a well-written character in Shippuden. I can't stand him after Naruto. And as you can tell, I compare redemption arcs to Zuko's and Sasuke can't even kiss his boots. He swings like a pendulum and more often than not, his direction doesn't make any sense. He seems to be bipolar and as one myself, he's not even a good representation of it.

I can't wait for the subathon! Tho, i open on saturaday (@ 7 am est) & won't get off work until aprrx. 2 pm . If we're slow, (i might get lucky & they'll send me home early in time for stream to start!!) I also open @ 7 sunday so probably won't be able to watch the whole stream, but there's always patreon!!!! (I literally spent the last two weeks catching up on shippuden vods/from first naruship vod!)
