Just for some real life explanation, the author of DxD did want Issei to be less of a wimp and actually do stuff with the girls but the editor in charge said no because actual sex scenes would push the age rating of the novel beyond what was allowed under the publisher’s standards for a shōnen/seinen light novel series targeted at a teen-to-young adult audience.

Luke, to be fair, Issei's lack of "action" isn't his fault, it's the editor's fault. The author wanted him to get "busy" with the girls, but the editor said no because it would make it a 18+ rating, and the publishing company didn't want that.

I know my copies of the blu-ray have them but you might have to sail the seas to find them nowadays tbh. The first OVA is titled “I’m Harvesting Breasts!” and the second OVA is “I’m Searching For Breasts!” Definitely worth watching imo

Well, there's a reason why Freed Sellzan sounds a lot like Inouske: because they share a VA (Yoshitsugu Matsuoka - one of the greats...) he's also Kirito's and Soma's VA.

Well, in a lot of media, specially japanese, the dragon are seen as a race associated with virility, charm and endurance. It's not too weird that Ddraig is like "yeah, well, I've got a host with overflowing lust, he'll make use of the dragon attributes". And he does say that "it's not so bad to have one like you some times", which I interpret as "well, at least you're honest and nice about it, also having a simple host instead of an arrogant dick is a breath of fresh air".

Also, to answer some of your questions from the end of the video: 1) The speech of Iris goes along the lines of "oh how tragic that my childhood friend is now my enemy, this must be a trial of God to test my faith". Could mean that she liked Issei in the past, could mean anything else. 2+3) The anime did explain that only people with extremely high levels of desire can see and interact with actual devils/familiars (ignoring when they're disguised as humans I guess), which is why they can give out the pamphlets with summoning circles to those people. Going by the same logic, one would think that people with extremely high levels of faith could maybe see angels? But those people wouldn't "summon" an angel the same way you summon a devil, they would pray to God instead. So based off of that, I don't think every normal person knows or even believes in all this stuff of devils and angels. I think this world falls more into the category of "normal realistic modern world but with hidden supernatural beings among humans", kind of like the TTRPG Vampire: The Masquerade.

Or, maybe the words exist, but they aren't used. Instead, they have onomatopoeic representations, which aren't all proper onomatopoeia, in that they don't mimic actual sounds, but are definitely in the same genre. Examples include "excited" being "waku waku", "fluffy" being "fuwa fuwa", and (shown here) "shiny" being "pika pika". Hell, why not include "licking" as "pero pero", "nervous" as "doki doki" (also used for the kind of excitement which raises your heart rate), and "slippery" as "nuru nuru".

The OVAs you can't find it on legal websites like Crunchyroll because OVAs mainly from Blu-ray and not broadcast on Japanese TV. You can only watch the OVAs on illegal websites. And yes, Xenovia is the best girl to watch in this season. Fun fact, Xenovia's VA is the same as Nakiri Erina from Food Wars

So far DxD seems like a weird mix between Christianity and Judaism. Like Angels and Devils are polar opposites like in christianity, and the church uses crosses, but the Devils act more like Satan of Judaism (an angel that fills the role of adversary and tempter of humanity rather than a rebel and evil being), and the fact Angels and Devils so far haven't fought one another and can talk civilly with each other also feels more like Judaism. The Fallen Angels and Priests are the actual evil ones, and they target both sides, yet there's still clearly animosity between Devils and Angels, and God is clearly more like the Christian God than the Jewish God, since God in this series actually has rivals and lets Angels fall from Grace.

Will be interesting to see how this all develops as the show goes on, because so far I can't tell if they intentionally blended things, or if it's just accidental. I'm leaning towards accidental given the fact Excalibur is randomly involved in all this, but we'll see.

No, most of the devils ARE pretty bad, it's just that this is a trademark trait of the Gremory Family, they specialize on bonds with their subordinates far more than the other true devil bloodlines do (and this is only the surviving 3 or 4 at that, there were originally 72 of them as mentioned, before the big happening back in the day w/ angels vs devils vs fallen angels 1v1v1 type of full-scale boogaloo (and of course the 2 Heavenly Dragons as well as uninvolved parties just enjoying the full blown boogaloo chaos happening in the background while doing 1v1 24/7), so arguably some of the more da ebil clans no longer exist to begin with, and the surviving 3-4 ones are from Gremory to like lukewarm ebil at best, although usually even most of them still are more like lawful evil alignment than chaotic evil alignment overall)

It depends on the company that publishes/edits the story and the author that writes, there are a bunch of different companies with different standards and authors who are or aren’t comfortable with sex scenes. It changes depending on who’s involved. For High School DxD having sex scenes in it was probably the difference between the light novel being out in the open in bookstores with a content warning or behind the 18+ curtain where minors aren’t allowed since it was already so explicit. Sometimes publishers just don’t want to lose those potential customers.
