a sad lobster

You should listen to the “Discovery” album by Daft Punk next it’s so good from start to finish!!

Yayyyy! This is Beyonce's first album released in 2003. She and Jay-Z were friends and by the time of this album release they were dating. They got married in 2008! Love the idea of reacting to the songs that have music videos instead. It will also make it go quicker!

M

And to think the executives at her record label told her they didn’t think she had one hit on this album. She really had to fight for this album. She later said they were right…it turns out she had 5 hits!

jj 💜

i think once you get to Beyonce self titled album then I would prefer you react to the music first and the videos second because there’s a lot going on and you WILL be distracted by the videos in self titled era. (But i wouldn’t be opposed to you doing music first for B’day either but i’m biased because that’s one of my favorites) and especially with Lemonade you should do the music first, don’t listen to the people that tell you different, i never like those reactions 😩 the song you’re hearing in Naughty Girl is Love to Love You Baby by Donna Summer. Beyonce looooves her some Donna Summer, and also Beyonce is such a master of including samples and interpolations in her music. It’s why especially later on you’ll see soooo many writing credits on her songs

Bey Brown

Reacting to the videos sounds fun and kinda appropriate for Beyoncé. Self-titled, Lemonade and Black is king are visual albums. Bday, 4 & I Am Sasha Fierce has videos to majority of the songs Yes, they were together. Since 2002 Her Breath control is insane. That falsetto tone on naughty girl was the first time she had done that. She surprised herself when she was in the studio. (Sample) Donna Summer- Love to Love you baby.

m

I liked the layout of videos and lyrics mixed but for specific albums u def gotta watch lyrics first

Tasia Dey

"Love to Love you Baby' is an original hit by Donna Summers. Pop star/ Disco era ..you would love her.

Bey Brown

Because you mention the background vocals. It’s called Vocal Stacking. Beyoncé, Brandy & Mariah Carey (at that time) were and are the masters at it!

Ameka

What a delightful reaction to a great album!

Hodge House

Lemonade REQUIRES the videos. The other albums, videos are optional. Either way, SO much fun watching you squirm LOL! You're adorable. As a wife myself, trust we understand! Beyonce is gorgeous. We stare too! 🤣

Shannon

Next you should do “Bday” which is a visual album You must do the Beyonce Experience world tour after.

Zzz

No, we want music videos 😭🤣🤣🤣🤣🤣

Sydney Barrett

Haha i love your reactions! Can't wait for the beyonce experience to see how she transforms these songs her musical ear is insane. I find that she tends to operate like a stand up comedian using the road to work out her songs and completely deconstructing them and rearranging them to however she sees fit. I also can't wait for self titled it will absolutely murder this man and I'm here for it all haha

Mark G

I think that at least for self-titled and Lemonade you should listen to the music before doing the videos. The visuals are really great but I think they will steal a little bit of your focus from the music/ production for those albums specifically

Tatia Pritchett

I am so enjoying my Mon Thur Beyonce days

Aiofe

Joined the patreon for this as an annual member!! The plan to do the videos disperse with the audio is genius and exactly how you should do it. Especially given the visual albums that are coming your way. 😂😂😂 will still be keeping my YouTube membership though.

Brenda T.

Beyonce interpolated the song Love To Love You (1975) by Donna Summer in the song Naughty Girl.

T

Sir, I know you missed it, but that was Usher in the Naughty Girl video. Yes, THEE Usher Raymond!

Jovan

If you want to guarantee a heart attack from watching a music video watch Beautiful Liar with Shakira

LaShawn

Naughty Girl is so slept on vocally bc it's such a "dancy" single but this 1 of those songs when I knew she was different, different! & started to pay more attention to her layering/stacking on her own background vocals/adlibs on majorally all her songs! Ur gonna hear that tone again on "No Angel" later on when u get to self-titled album ~Honorable mentions😬 ~ *Yonce/Partition *Blow *Dance for U *Rocket Bless ur heart, literally!🫶🏾

LaShawn

Hey👋🏾 I notice u from Welp! Forget the flyswatter...we gonna need a gurney for this man 😭

Rigo

For the next album (B’Day) it would be really great for you to react to the standard edition of the album, not the deluxe. The original tracklisting is so much better. The OG Version opens with Deja Vu. Also, I know you’re getting so many conflicting suggestions, but I really think that whenever you get to Self-Titled and Lemonade, you should listen to the albums first and then watch the accompanying visuals. There’s so much going on visually and she changes up the music a bit as well, so I hope you go that route!

ThatSingerReactions

the way of growth man she has is unlike any artist i've seen wait until each album bro and then her vocals has progressed to her being one of the greatest vocalist ever. don't believe me look on every list on google of vocalist

Nicholas Johnson

Beyonce album reaction was not on my bingo card.

douglas marcondes

You should watch Live at Roseland! An intimate show where she tells her story in a concise and incredible way, from her beginnings in Girls Time, then Destiny's, to her solo career, with images from the past all the way to the present. You'll learn more about her journey and career.

Zari

I came over from Whelp too. I love how we’re all filling the time until Act iii. 😂

aleayarae_9794

It will definitely take longer but I agree doing the music first before the videos would be better. As you have already witnessed, it's hard to focus on the music because her visuals are so crazy amazing too

HELENIA DUKES

I like the inclusion of music videos when applicable. I think that's very smart.

Helena

Loved this reaction so much! Yeah this was when her & jay z got together as you can tell the love songs are about him. I agree with what you said you can tell it sounds like when you are head over heels in love with someone. Jay z also co-wrote some songs, Beyoncé was the producer too. Whatever best for you! React to the album audio or all the music videos as long as you do them around the same time of the dangerously in love era. Once you’ve done this album there is lots of live stuff off this album you can’t react to & behind the scenes of her recording the live vocals in the booth. The dance she does at the end of baby boy, she does that live at a award show too. I’m sure there is a behind the scene documentary of this album. Really love this journey you are on! Love the comments about ver vocals on this album, a lot of people forget how long ago this album was & you have to remember what it was like in 90/00 it was very r&b, it is such a beautiful album. Another amazing reaction! Also don’t worry it doesn’t matter if you’re male, female, we all react to Beyoncé the same way you do 🤣🤣🤣🤣🤣🤣🤣 . Can’t wait for part 2! 💛🐝

Brit

LMAO. Hi Welp hive! 😂

Quinton Hiini

One thing to keep in mind is that Destiny’s Child were a hip hop/R&B girl group, so when Beyoncé went solo people kind of expected her to stay in that lane. Over time though, album by album, she showed she wasn’t an artist you could box in. And when she split from her dad as her manager, you could really see the shift—she stopped aiming just for hits and started making albums that told stories and could be experienced as complete pieces of art.

Brit

Yes, Self Titled vids are about to take this poor man out. 😅

Brit

Please continue to do music vids ! 🙏 Especially once you get to Bday and on, they’re such a big part of her artistic vision and how she wants to be received as an artist. They’re not an afterthought for her. She imagines the visuals alongside creation of the songs. Although totally fine if you prefer to watch them separately. They are so good and she’s so captivating that they ARE distracting. 😂

Sydney Barrett

She first tells that same setup in live at the Wynn

Bella Raye Maven

Let's let him go in order... we're working our way to BeyChella! ✌🏾🫶🏽

Bella Raye Maven

If there's a music video you must watch it! Especially the visual Albums. Just keep checking in with us veteran BeyHive members. We'll guide you the right way. Beyonce changed the game with creating videos to go with damn near every song!!! It's epic and a MUST WATCH! 🤯👑🐝 Love your reactions! 🙌🏾🫶🏽

Bella Raye Maven

I agree! Can't wait for him to see her live concerts! He's gonna be totally obsessed! He's definitely getting tickets for ACT III. 😏😆🙌🏾👑🐝

Bella Raye Maven

He can do both. Her videos are so epic, but he may really need to listen by ear first to appreciate the VISUALS cause they're gonna blow him away!!!! 🙌🏾 Im so here for it. 😏👑🐝

Koko

LOVE THAT SHE HAD USHER AS HER VIDEO VIXEN IN NAUGHTY GIRL

Dana Carroll

That first song without the video, Superstar, I have NEVER heard before. Ever. I don't like it, honestly. Hahahaha. I would like to suggest that you watch the movies Cadillac Records and Dreamgirls. Beyonce does a wonderful job in both films. Acting and singing.

Sarah

100% agree, the audio before visuals for self titled and lemonade. It’s too much to do them at once!!

Sarah

I agree with many others, when you get to self-titled and lemonade, please react to the audio before the visual albums. There is way too much in those lyrics and story telling, and the visuals are a whole other level. They deserve separate reactions! It’s going to be VERY hard to split lemonade visual into multiple videos because you will not want to stop watching! I have the Vimeo link for that if you need it.

Zoi Herself

The song Work It Out is INSANELY good! You have to watch it so I can watch you watch it!!! 😂

Khadija L
