Anakin ultimately brought balance to the force all on his own, he just needed a reminder of what his values are and what he's fighting for. Minato in contrast died and passed on his mission to his son, so I don't think the two are the best comparison.

I can kinda see the thing about Minato still being the Child of Prophecy, because it was said that the Child of Prophecy would have to make a choice and his decision would lead the world towards either a time of peace or a time of destruction. Well, Minato’s last choice was to sacrifice himself and in some ways sacrifice his son in order to protect the village. And sealing the Nine-Tails in Naruto, despite the hard life it meant he’d have, did put him on the path to actually create that peace. If Minato had acted more selfishly, who knows?
