September 4, 1981 is Beyoncé’s birthday. first video- The main dance break where she has the bikini top and skirt is a tribute to Josephine Baker, and a black dancer named Consuela Haris. When she’s in the black outfit at the end of the video, she’s paying Tribute to James Brown with some of her moves. In the “get me body “video that is indeed Destiny’s Child’s Kelly and Michelle. The third woman is Beyoncé‘s little sister Solange, who at one point was a background dancer for Destiny’s Child. She is also Beyoncé’s nephew, Jules’s mom. She is now a great artist. You should check out her work. I also want to point out that up until this point Beyoncé and Jay-Z’s relationship was super private. They didn’t speak on it. This album was confirmation that they were in a relationship and so having him in the videos made everyone go wild. We love to see it.

You’re finding out that Beyonce is hilarious and loves having tongue and cheek moments. In the song “Get me bodied” (you’re watching/listening to the extended version btw) she highlights multiple black and queer cultural references particularly dance offs, which is a black American tradition done at cookouts and other celebratory functions. Also, “snap for the kids” is paying respect to the LGBTQ+ culture as “kids” is another way to describe gay and trans people.

also the entire B’day aesthetic was the swamp/louisiana and there was actually controversy with the Deja Vu video at the time with people thinking it was extremely inappropriate the way she danced on Jay Z people were calling for her to re film it 💀 you’ll see similar settings in a later Beyonce project as well 👀🍋 also i think you’re gonna be into get me bodied when you get into live performances 😌it’s always a hit when she does it live

Here’s my comment rant I suppose I’m gonna do them as the videos play so with déjà vu there was a lot of controversy with this video, especially on the part where she’s dancing against him. People were very upset that she made those sexually suggestive moves toward him when she bent over and then she meet down on her knees in front of His private parts. She was like I’m a grown ass woman if I wanna dance, sexy for my man I can. It was a thing people were upset because they were like he’s making her act out of character and all that weird stuff because they were used to her being sort of childish and reserved

Please sir, don't forget to react to her first solo song as a solo artist, there's a music video for it, remember it's "work it out" and it's part of an austin power movie she's playing in. Maybe react to it as well. Also before the b'day era the first song they did as a couple is called Bonnie and Clyde, I think it's part of a jay'z album or something, there's also a music video to it, it's literally iconic and I think important on Beyonce's history. You have to react to it. And yes please we need destiny's reactions, the music videos are iconic, litteraly late 90s and early 2000 gems. Songs are iconic like you have to. Also you have to experience Beyoncé voice when she was younger, her dynamic In a group. The harmonies are insane. And also you'll see the difference between the singles, the big mainstream hits and the less known songs, you'll see how destiny's child have such an unique sound. There's litteraly no other girl group with their sound, and now they're like cimented as one of the best Girl group of all time in pop culture, their signature sound and energy and vibe was such A thing back then. I'm Sorry but you have to, to fully get why Beyonce is considered Legendary, she's an icon, she's one of one since day one.

Her sister is a background dancer on this song regularly when you get into more of her life performances, you’ll start to notice her.
