Who talked you into skipping 290-295?! Its the best arc in the entire series! They brought in alot of talent to make the arc gorgeous and basically a movie broke into parts. It was for the 500th episodes celebration ( counting the original series) Seriously its amazing, you have to go back. Just wow, the Power Arc is by far and away peak of the series.

Filler gets voted on my twitch chat and majority decides if we watch them or not. alot of the better fillers were skipped, However two filler arcs have been force skipped due to the subathon already having a date planned weeks prior to getting to the point of voting. Power sadly fell into this category.

Love his reactions, but the whole community vote thing, is the biggest drawback of his channel, It prevents him from ever seeing some great shows that are either older or more niche, and missing out on great (and some times very important) story arcs because some people think they know better than the creators of the shows and deem it filler (a stupid concept in and all of itself, if the creator didn't want you to see it it wouldn't be there). Such a shame.

Sasuke isn't evil, he hasn't necessarily done any evil deeds, Sasuke is just maniacal, he's starting to go insane, from learning Itachi's truth. From a psychological standpoint, Sasuke's actions are not supposed to make sense, as his thoughts are in disarray. You say Sasuke isn't a well written character because he's all over the place, so because he isn't simple, you can't understand him, his is badly written? Worst logic to go by. Nobody is actually born evil, the fact we are seeing Sasuke delve into chaos, is prove of incredible writing. Also, based on you own logic, Eren is badly written character.

Luke could be so much better if he just ignored Twitch chat during reactions and didn't have the community decide all of the shows he watches, going by what was popular and going by numbers only, has killed Cartoon Network (And TV as a whole) Luke is running his channel like CN. it will not work in the long run, having a community pick 1 out of five would be fine but having your whole channel run by the average anime watchers means your channel will stay just like that, average when it could be great.

That's how I was thinking when DXD and Food wars were voted in over something like Your Lie in April. There are so many anime that are top tier gems, but he'll never react to them because they're not popular enough for this channel. Tonikawa, Horimiya, Bluelock, Haikyuu, Kuroko no basket, Dragon Ball, and so on. There are at least two or three shows every season that are worth a watch, too. A bit sad to see, but hopefully he'll do this long enough to where he reacts to mostly everything.

Obito lost the love of his life, and he's understood. Now Sasuke has lost his entire clan, his family, to his own brother who tried to "kill" him afterward, and he was forced to relive it several times through advanced genjutsu, and he's not understood. I can't understand the Naruto community. Oh, and just to finish, he later discovers that everything was manipulated, that they practically spat on his clan, and his brother was used for this dark purpose, making all his revenge in vain. And you don't understand how he went crazy, but you understand Obito and Gaara? Seriously??

I don't understand people complaining about the Utakata filler in the chat. Yes, Utakata is canon, but his arc isn't. Kishimoto didn't write that. As a guy in the chat said, it's basically a fanfic by the studio.

Even if said arc was cowrote with kishimoto and it was originally ment to be a movie? They put more effort and staff power into this one arc then any other in the series. The director for it is the same as the pain arc.

'he could be better'. Indeed, he could make better content or pick better series or react better. But to be fair he is a dude who in 5-10 years will retire . Based on what moistcritikal shared his analytics ,. seems to me luke doing what he does now for another decade would result in pure retirement . I think he just likes to please majority and i don't think that is a problem. I watch from him only like 60% of his anime reactions cuz rest i am done or not interested anymore.

@Len bruins. People watch what they wanna watch. IF majority vote no filler but luke decide to watch said filler. People will just tune out.... sure you're happy but now he is -50% viewers and doing less money. Sure he watched something great but at what cost. Do you also pay $1000 for your ice cream? No ice cream can be justified $1k no matter how good. You will feel good eating it but the after math, that -$1k in your pocket will not allow you to feel it at max potential, it will diminish your overall experience to a 8/10. So all in all there is no correct choice

So blinded by his love for Naruto, he doesn't see how great Sasuke is as a character. :( And Sakura too. She's a great character who's actions made a lot of sense during the snow scene. Just need to be more open-minded to characters other than the main character. Nice reaction, but your Sasuke takes are killing me. lmao. 5:26:45 Honestly I don't think kid Sasuke was that great of person, he was just mellowed out at times. Sasuke was ALWAYS obsessed with revenge. Many times he said everything he does is for his end goal of killing his brother. Also he literally joined the Leaf's biggest enemy. When Sasuke finally gets revenge after dedicating his whole life to it, and realized it was all for nothing, he spiraled. It seems pretty obvious. Sasake is 100% impulsive/careless, but it's not like that breaks his character. There is reasoning behind his goals, even if you don't agree with his actions. You don't have to be on his side. Stop claiming hes an awful character

I know Luke doesn't understand or like Sasuke, but to me he's someone I pity. He lost everyone at a young age and is full of unprocessed grief and trauma. Since the start of Naruto he's dealt with that by just training to be the strongest, all because he wants to get revenge. We've watched that desire for revenge grow and grow, and we've seen him lash out and grow more unstable as he's realized how far he is from achieving his goal. He ran away and got trained by Orochi, who is 100% a horrible rolemodel that absolutely played into his fragile emotional state and egged him on, and then when he finally thought he was getting revenge, he learns the village itself were the ones that wanted the killing. Then who comes in while he's reeling and trying to process this information? Tobi, who again is a horrible influence and openly manipulates Sasuke for his own goals and desires. I think the way he's never really matured, never had a chance to truly grieve and get over the loss of his family, and how that manifests in him lashing out viciously and blindly is completely reasonable for someone that's had no parents, has lived alone, and spent the last few years being groomed to think violence is the best option. Doesn't help that ninja culture in general is all about factions and fighting other factions to the death, again instilling the idea that is how he should act. All his role models growing up were in on the murder of his family as well, so even thinking of them he can't help but associate his role models with slaughtering innocents to achieve a goal. So I pity Sasuke and can understand why he feels and thinks the way he does. Doesn't mean it's right or acceptable, but he's a broken person that's never had a chance to truly grieve or process their pain.

To the people being mad in the chat that fillers were skipped, I will get to you, but first I will complain about the chatters that have no idea what sarcasm is: Luke clearly knew it was a reference to at least some story, not to dragon ball, he made what is known as a "joke". There are 3 groups of fillers: None canon fillers, and this group is very large, and the people who hate them are also very large. Fillers that make stuff up: This group is not as small as I wish it was. Context fillers: Fillers that literally fill up an episode or two, or parts of them. And some people hate all fillers, I don't, some people hate all the made up stuff, I do. And some do not care and want to watch every filler, and I do not, I do not need 25 episodes about a curry war were the only message is "love is good, war is not, tradition and spirit are good" which is the entire message of the anime, but it changed nothing. However, i do understand the people who are saying "why did we skip this? It is not manga canon, but this is not silly." And I do agree, but it also usually felt like the episodes were somtimes lower quality, some were high quality, but not all.

I'm glad you started this subathon earlier this time! If you were as drained watching Naruto open Kurama's seal as you were in the other subathon - watching Naruto convince Pain to trust him, I would have been PISSED Also I 100% agree about Sasuke - I could not care less about his side of the story. His and Itachi's fight against Kabuto bored me more than most fillers 😆
