Scandal arc time. I felt so bad for Kana, her desperation led her to this. So sad. Well, the director is definitely not a “good” guy. At the most, he’s not a rapist that we know of. I don’t think Ruby had any part of this 😂 I think you’re closer to the woman tipping off the press stuff. That actress could have been jealous of Kana since when they were drinking you could tell that actress has not been even close to as successful as Kana.

theres 2 things i realised after this episode. 1. This anime gave me the same feeling of when i was watching Takopi, this unsettling feeling on the back of my neck, that I only get while watching horrors. 2. This animes one of the main theme is nepotism, aka connections. And nepotism is not only in entertainment.

Luke, I think you missed it 💦 Ruby has nothing to do with the Kana case... I mean she will gain nothing from harming Kana or putting a stain on B-Komachi which is like Ai's legacy. - Kana's friend introduces Kana to the Director. - She says he's not a player, but the dude confirms himself that he IS a player (Nothing to do with Sung Jinwoo and the system 😅) - They made another appointment to meet again (the 3 of them) but the girl kept delaying it saying she was busy while drinking alone. - As soon as the girl received a message from Kana saying that she's going to the director's office the girl made a phone call. - Finally, after leaving the director's office? there was a journalist waiting outside. We can only guess that the girl hates Kana or used her to get back to the director for something that happened between them (he's a player and he's married as well).

Luke acknowledged in the reaction that the girl's phone call is most likely why the reporter showed up. His Ruby theory is also totally valid. Ruby has become a manipulator at this point, and with timeskips we don't know who she knows. Entirely possible with the knowledge at hand, that she could be someone Ruby manipulated.

That bitchy friend of hers set that all up. The party she was at she could leave easy, she new about the director, the is rebellious of Kana's current fame, plus who do you think she called when she stepped away after getting Kana's text.

The "This anime is bollocks" is not meant as a negative to the anime in general but as a reaction of every episode is falling apart like Aqua getting back to the trauma and this episode especially Kana getting a scandal. So no it's not that type of negative comment and I just want that to be clear. But the Luke overthinking was a hurt to watch and I did not say anything bad in terms of a reactor he is, yes his reaction is purely honest and true to himself thinking about it but this episode of OnK he's just thinking way too hard and missing all the green flags throughout this character aka Director Shima. And the guy was nice right off the bat, literally all the convo before was the show saying this guy was green. Like the way he took the drink from Kana so she wouldn't drink alcohol because she's underage, him telling her that she's a talented individual basically cheer her up a bit and he said "If it were me I'd used you right." without any suspicious face/intonation about it. So basically I commented just to tell him that you're overthinking way too much bro kinda thing. I didn't say I hate him as a reactor I just tell that it hurts me to watch. So I didn't mean to say it like "Luke You're a BAD Reactor" kind of wording. So that was a false wording of mine if people get it that way.

It's never about like hating his theories. But the way he overthinked the Director Shima one even though we were told the whole way through he was a nice guy.

I think you are making Ruby out to be to much of an evil genius. Ruby imo is a good character, all 3 Ruby, Kana and Akane are great.

34:15 I had the same train of thoughts, but with a cool mind, seems a bit of a stretch to just blame Ruby for a single sus scene. I know she even admitted her schemes, but doesn't mean that now she's f'ing Light Yagami. In this case the b*tch actress was definitely at fault for setting up the reporter to catch Kana outside the building. Since Kana has never really cared that much about the idol stuff besides simping for Aqua, I'm not even worried about that, I'm more worried about the ramifications for her acting roles and I'm also wondering if she has already some huge fanbase, because I can picture some psycho fan going crazy seeing the pictures, and we know all too well what happens when you mix a crazy fan with a broken heart, a white boquet and a knife... seriously worried for her and Akane.
