5:00 Nah, if you listen very closely he actually said "Luke is as deaf as a doorpost" in perfect english In all seriousness though - he says ウェザーリポート (whe - za ri - po - to). Because JP is a syllabic and not an alphabetic language, there's "to" at the end instead of just a "t" - that's why you're mistakenly hearing "ter"

AchmodinIVSWE

I honestly don't know how he hears "ter". He pronounces "to" very clearly to me.

Rem is best waifu

Yeah F.F. death made me feel it was closer to Avedol bc they already did a death scene. It didn't hit as hard as some even a Bruno death which we all seen coming. Ceasar's death is still the hardest one in the anime imo so far.

Jacowab

He says "We-za Ri-po-to" for weather report, unless a word ends on an "N" Japanese speakers will struggle to end the word without making a vowel sound.

Yaros

Diо was calm throughout part three from what we saw. The only exception was when he was about to finish off the Joestars in the final battle. His very presence was literally hypnotic to the Stand users whom he bent to his side

Magic Fibre

Luke is the #1 victim of expectation bias. The thing where he mishears a character's name once and then keeps hearing the misheard version happened to him sooo many times across different anime

Frentzy

the world = za waruDO. So yeah luke doesn’t know this small detail about japanese so many misunderstandings he has is based on vowel endings while on the screen it ends on a consonant . So he "hears" extra. He is correct but also wrong.

Lucas Prestes

Yeah, going a bit further, if it ever were weather reporter he’d say something along the lines of We-za re-po-tah

Yaros

And yes, Jotaro has already talked with Joseph ghost, just like we had the whole storyline with Kira and the ghost girl in part four. Stands are also ghosts😂

DecoyBlackMage

I mean, no one has ever said White Snake was a close ranged power stand, he has shown the ability to be quite far away from the user from the start. It is easy to assume tbf since you would think a main villain fell into that bracket in general, that said his power is kind of horrid so close range is insanely dangerous. The ability to cast illusions is also easy to forget.

Promx

Luke is really obsessed with range in Jojo

Roli D. Great

We can officially say that Pucchi fingered Dio in the head xD

Roli D. Great

Luke, you're saying that in Jojo's there are aliens and ghosts...then, what about Dandadan? :) ...also now really RIP F.F. the plankton goat

Roli D. Great

Did I understand correctly that when Pucchi was walking towards the green baby he was referencing some quotes from a gospel? Just so he can understand how the green baby's stand works and thus reaching him? Am I correct? It's abit hard to understand imo. Time = Distance / Speed, no? :)

KUR0KIJI

He was reciting the words on DIO's book, the words DIO engraved on his soul, that's what the green baby reacted to, words that resonated with him/his soul

KUR0KIJI

According to P4 Ghosts and stands are in a similar wavelength, that's why stand users seem to be able to see ghosts and also the souls leaving the bodies like we usually see as viewers (the golden dust/particles).

Magic Fibre

LMAO The World is The Worlder to Luke

David Bartusek

hmm, i wonder if its some kind of....golden wind. Anyway, next episode is one of my favorite in all of jojo. :D

Moshi

As I explained in another video, the word report in Japanese is literally pronounced ripooto - that's the extra vowel you're hearing at the end. Not a a single Japanese word ends in t, or any consonant other than n for that matter. The Japanese pronounciation of reporter is ripootaa, with a long a at the end. Other English names from before that also ended in a vowel: crazy diamond - kureiji daiyamondo; the world - za waarudo; judgment - jadjimento; harvest - haabesto Not like you'll read this anyway

Moshi

It's been explained before that close combat stands can go out of their combat range, they just lose their strength/combat ability when doing so.

Moshi

Even Whitesnake is actually howaitosneeku

IAintSubbin

Pucci's stand can still go 20 meters without losing any

KUR0KIJI

You're.... not wrong..

Roli D. Great

The only 2 bad habits that Dio had was being cocky/overconfident and underestimating the enemy to some extent.

thewizardninja

This is the same man that swears he hears "Joski" when Okuyasu says "Josuke". If it turned out he had a hearing disability it wouldn't surprise me.

thewizardninja

"We've never seen Dio like this" Do you not remember how Dio was when Hol Horse had his gun to the back of Dio's head? This was Dio through most of Part 3.

thewizardninja

Whitesnake really isn't that strong physically. He's stronger than a person, sure, but he's not like Star Platinum level or anything, that's why he has to rely on sneak attacks and trickery to win fights and often makes use of normal weapons because they'll do more damage than he will. Jolyne (who also has a stand with fairly low physical power) can keep up with him when Pucci is as close as he can be to his stand - that should tell you a lot. Whitesnake is dangerous because his ability can incapacitate you no matter how far away he is from Pucci IF he catches you, but he has to actually catch you first.

KUR0KIJI

The thing is White snake is a weak stand when it comes to combat, it would loose in a 1v1 against almost all close range stands, hence why stone free was overpowering him easly, his advantage is his illusions and the disc manipulation.

"EHHUEHHU!!"
