If you want to have the best experience music wise out of this, you have to listen to the Lemonade album before watching the film. You don’t get the music in it’s entirety if you just watch the film, for example, Kendrick Lamar verse is cut out in the film and I’d hate to not see your reaction to his verse😭🙏🏾

I agree with people here. If you're gonna do the film next you should and i recommend watching it in one sitting. If you break it up it won't hit as hard i feel. Since it's a film and not just a visual album it makes sense to watch it at once. Others have stated and I agree that songs are cut down in the film (Kendricks whole verse on Freedom is cut but I think you watched their live performance of it so you know it already. I doubt you remember it though haha it was a while ago) so if you want the songs in full you gotta listen to the album but don't search for "music videos" just listen to the music cause the visuals are the film. I honestly don't want to rush things but I'm just very excited for you to get to the film. At the end of the day you do what you feel is best.

I recommend the film first because that’s how we experienced. Beyoncé dropped a trailer for Lemonade and no one knew what in the world it was! We all experienced it first before the album. I think there’s value in the album as well for the full songs. This is how we experienced it! I cannot wait for Lemonade 🍋🐝

Lemonade is Beyoncé’s magnum opus. Fair warning: have the tissues ready because it’s a heavy, but beautiful project! When Lemonade was released, we all saw the visual album first. Because of the way you’re experiencing Beyoncé (making reaction content), I think you should listen to the album first. You likely won’t be going back and rewatching over and over to dissect it like we have. The film shortens certain songs, and it’s worth it to be able to hear them in full. The visuals are also extremely layered and have lots of meaning, so being at least a little familiar with the music would help you be able to take in the visuals! I would also recommend you treating the film like your other musical movie reactions and watching it in one sitting.

Like everyone, I agree that lemonade needs to be watched in one sitting for the emotional builds up of it. You can always check the full music after, but only a couple of songs were cut short. Otherwise, they are great in the movie.

Is this possible, Luke? Because Ania is right - the Lemonade visual album is really best consumed in one sitting. Beyonce takes you on a very emotional journey and you may not be able to experience its full impact if you have to exit and re-enter that state multiple times. You could potentially record it in one sitting and release it as separate installments if you wanted to maintain the schedule. Just a thought! :)

Can't wait for the Lemonade film. You really need to just strap yourself down and watch it in one go. Treat it like a movie review. Trust us! Splitting it up in to parts is not the way to experience Lemonade. Have your tissues close by because it will an emotional journey like never before with Beyoncé.

Since you're a reaction channel, I think that doing the Lemonade album first and then the film is the right move! While Bey didn't release them in this order, the album has the full versions of the songs and they deserve to be heard in their entirety as this is her most important album. I think that letting the full story play out in your head 1st musically, helps you appreciate the beauty of the visuals more. Also, you can break up the album, but breaking up the film is not recommended.

I glad you saw this before Lemonade so u can see that it’s more than just a cheating album and it was never about them breaking up (even if there was a separation at some point). It’s 2 years after OTR she wanted to tell her truth but also connect with her roots and she dives deep in to black culture, ancestry, and slavery.

I still think you should do the album first and then the visual. i don't think you fully appreciate the songs while watching the visuals b/c the visuals and poems in the movie are so stunning and deep it can really take a lot away from the music/lyric. The fact that love drought is not even fully in the visuals is a travesty

Like many here are saying in contrary to the YouTube. Moments please react to the album FIRST. In the film the songs are shortened you will miss important verses and even collaborations. Listening to the album will give you a chance to piece the story together for yourself without influence of the visuals. I also think reacting to an album that you have listened to 50% is not a authentic reaction anymore. The film has visuals, poetry and so many layers more to focus on you having listened to the album won’t take away from that. You watching the film first will take away from listening to the album tho as you will have heard it already.

For a reactor it makes more sense for him to listen to the album first. It made sense for the public to watch the film we had no idea. But as Luke is now waiting for the “cheating” album it won’t take away nothing. Him reacting to the film would make a album reaction kind of underwhelming as he would have heard most of the album already.

I think they really nailed it, the way the took back the control of the narrative of their story. As in the choice of the set list, the background videos, when we pay attention to all this it tells a story :It started as two super stars, gangsa, the can of person people think they are, the way the press portrait them (because they are extremely discret of their personal life, journalist, internet, love to speculate and create they own version of their story), and little by little you see the real them, through their songs, through the way they perform to ending on « this is the real us », a couple, parents, people in love, the rest it’s no one else business. That’s really a brillant statement about their couple.

yeah now that I'm thinking about it and seeing comments here you should listen to the music first for sure(my other comment still stands..do NOT break the film into parts when you do watch it) but as I stated before don't do what you've done before (where you'll watch the visuals for the songs, for lemonade it will be a disservice. Find lyric videos if you have to react to the music on youtube. I know other reaction channels use Spotify or apple music but I don't know what your set up is like so) . I've been really enjoying your journey with her.

React to lemonade the album first then the visual film album the problem with watching the visual is, so much is going on you miss a lot in one sitting. Also the visual cuts 3 songs in half. Love drought, freedom & all night. So when you come to listen to live stuff of this album you have actually not heard half of some songs. You need the full songs for homecoming & on the run 2 tour. If you listen to the album first full songs. Then watch the full visuals album you have covered every thing 💛🐝

What if he doesn't get to the album though. That would be devastating. I originally would have said do it how Bey intended but ive seen so many reactions just do the film or cut up into videos and just not get the whole point or depth & references. Of course Luke has a better understanding of what's happening coming up to this eara more than some others but I was just thinking if he listens to the album first with lyrics so he can really start to put the pieces together then when watching the film (all in one sitting of course!) he can really focus on the imagery and how it relates to each song & theme cause he will already have an understanding/ foundation of what the song is saying. Ive just seen too many do the film or videos and its so disappointing. But hopefully Luke does both! Just scared is all cause its such a special important project that deserves to have folks consume & understand it fully given the sensitivity of the subject matter and what it represents.
