Rem is best waifu

This is not a Slice of Life anime, it is closer to drama. Luke you have watched a place further than the universe which is the closest to slice of life I can think of you have seen. However this anime and Your Lie and April are beautiful and we will enjoy the Luke's emotional roller coaster. Also I love Shaft anime just behind KyoAni and Shaft did this anime and Monogatari so well.

"Depression feels like drowning", in this episode the sound of water fills the silence, or when Kiriyama is alone in his head, like drinking during the match witch his step-father. I really like the use of sound in the show, the music changes arround the sisters, and even the sound effect become more lively and fluffy.

For those who love March come in like a lion, do check out the author previous work call Honey and Clover Honey and Clover is a slice-of-life anime about art college students growing up and dealing with love, friendship, and finding their place in life. It mixes light comedy with emotional moments about unrequited love and personal dreams. That the best slice-of-life anime I have ever watched, its so good that it got a live action moive adaptations, and two drama adaptation one from Japan and one in Taiwan

oooo nice din't expect reaction to this show

Eden of the East is my personal favorite from the author I hope it gets chosen one day not many people knows it exists and that makes me sad. I almost never see reactions to it.

seansky

Not a lot to say that isn’t gonna spoil future eps tbh, but it will really grow as the eps pile on. The grandpa’s comment I think has to do with his internal struggle of his match the next day against his dad, as it’s an important match to his dad (according to the reporter)

Here we go. I love the animation in this. Also protect Momo at all cost!!!

Nikkelz

Noblesse oblige fellow fan! I doubt it'll ever make it up on polls sadly. Many great titles just don't have big enough fan bases, Still holdin out hope for Luke to do the OP though since he's talked about how strange it is when its an english song (Though he doesn't like oasis xD)

IBG_Music

This anime is one of my favorites, so I’m excited for you to Watch it!

somalasth

Can't wait to see how you end up liking this story. One of my favorite anime, if not my favorite. It does such an amazing job tackling all the topics that it covers.

Deshawn Smith

One of the best anime i've ever watched and it's so overlooked. hope you enjoy 👍🏼

Binbou

This isn't Haikyuu... but I'll accept it... This one is a banger though

Eric Michel

I always have a heartwarming feeling when a new chapter gets out, another special manga/anime.

@13:15 - Luke, I resonate with your reaction to seeing Momo come out of the house. Momo is so cuteeeee 🥹🫶🏼

This is going to be an amazing journey. One detail I find really cool is how Hina asks Rei how the match went and is really happy for him when he says he won. When Hina tells Akari that he won her response is much more muted. Its just a half second shot of the ice shifting in the glass to transition from that happy feeling of "he won" to the more melancholic way that Akari says "I see" while looking down with a slight but sad smile. It works so well to establish that she understands much more about what Rei is going through compared to Hina. She did not say "that's great!" or "congratulations" she said "I see". The subtle character performances are so good and the eyes in this anime are very expressive.

I know the story doesn’t make much sense after the first episode, but don’t worry. Everything will start making more sense after the next few episodes. March Comes in Like a Lion has a bit more of a slow burn than a lot of the anime you’ve been watching lately. I won’t say anything more to avoid spoilers, but you asked what is wrong with Rei? Let’s just say you’ll find out…oh, you’ll find out alright…

Some0neElse

13:12 Look at the atmosphere shift when those 3 showed up. Always brings a smile to my face. Its a slow burner but an amazing watch

Richard

An extraordinary collection of voice actors in this show. Almost all of my favourites.

Nate Ming

YES, WHAT AN ALL-TIMER OF A SHOW

Nate Ming

Also: Akari Kawamoto, love of my life <3

It would be so great if it were possible to just skip ahead in time to when Luke had already finished all the episodes, and watch all the reaction videos at once...

Rice isn't expensive, cup noodles are just cheap as hell, one of that size is probably under 200 yen. You likely pay more for them because they're imported.

yorozuyapetel

I LOVE how they completely keep you in the dark about everything, you’re quite literally plunged into the depths of Rei’s life
