Janeta Cherry

They did From now on with Hugh Jackman in this room too

Danielle O'Rourke

I second this recommendation. Hugh Jackman singing 'From Now On' from the same day as this video is such a great watch

aurora

Please please react to the especial from wicked called "one wonderful night" on hbo , it has some increíble performances by the cast, literally chills all the way through.

Ann

I don't know that it can get better than this. I've watched a ton of musicals and this one is still my all-time favorite. Some other possible choices, though... Mamma Mia! (2008) Fiddler on the Roof (1971) Singin' in the Rain (1952) Seven Brides for Seven Brothers (1954) Grease (1978) Your reactions are priceless!

M3rlin

The hair flip!! The growing confidence as she sings! I love this video

M3rlin

A musical that makes me feel like this song... its not the EXACT same.. but Shrek the Musical is pretty close. Some of those songs, though more comedic, still hits me. "Who I'd be" is one of my favorite songs. Its a great musical to react to anyway!

Linda Wolf

I am so glad you did this reacted to this video. I love it. Check out the Hugh Jackman sings in this room after having nasal surgery. You will love the energy.

Jonny

I KNEW you'd love this as much as we did. Thanks for covering it.

Vicki

5:47 That's Cynthia Erivo who played Elphaba in the Wicked movies. She was part of the early workshops for The Greatest Showman. You should check out the video of her & Justin Paul (one of the songwriters who wrote the songs) debuting a demo version of "Rewrite The Stars" in 2016. It's on YouTube. She didn't star in the movie as she was performing in The Colour Purple on Broadway during filming. You should also check out the video of From Now On from the same Green Light session as this video.

Mark

Did you see Cynthia arribo (Elphaba) in the room?

PumpkinSparks

I absolutely love her little head tilt at the end "yeah, this is me! What you gonna do about it?"

Lea

A pleasure as usual. There is another rehearsal clip under this name: "The Greatest Showman | Featurette – Hugh Jackman | 2017". For more musicals in general, I can recommend "In the heights" or "tick, tick... BOOM! (both from Lin-Manuel Miranda) - and in my opinion (highly underrated) "Waitress" the musical. / New here and love to be an your musical journey <3

Kay

I get emotional every time I watch it.

sav 🦋

can you react to matilda the musical

sav 🦋

the movie not the stage

Kyle Southworth

I would love to see you react to Newsies! Both the original 1992 film with Christian Bale and the 2017 Broadway recording. It's one of my favorite musicals!

Robin

I add my voice to everyone recommending the From Now On clip of the same nature. Also, Hugh Jackman tells the story of this performance and said that there were three well-known actresses vying for the part of the bearded lady. When Keala finished the song here, the big wig producer guy came up to her, hugged her and said, "young lady you just booked your first big budget Hollywood movie"

Kimberly

In that case the Hugh Jackman one from the same workshop you NEED to see. Hugh shouldn't have been singing because of nose surgery but he just couldn't help himself 😂

Jace Dulohery

Gotta agree with the handful of folks recommending the "From Now On" workshop session video. It's so wonderful. At the time of recording, Hugh Jackman had just had facial surgery and wasn't able to sing, so the producers pulled in Jeremy Jordan to perform in HJ's place. But halfway through...well, you'll have to watch.

m

yaaa

m

fun fact the black woman with the short blonde hair is Cynthia Erivo who plays elphaba in the wicked movies!

m

here are some recommendations based on movies you have already watched: Greatest Showman: Hugh Jackman From now on Rehearsal- https://youtu.be/6-CCxYR80mU?si=yyNYlKSkwdVOLO_O Wicked: Many people have recommended the One wonderful night: I agree! It's about an hour but if you cant watch it at least react to For Good Live from the One wonder ful Night https://youtu.be/6-CCxYR80mU?si=yyNYlKSkwdVOLO_O It has Ariana(Glinda) and Cynthia(Elphaba) singing For Good together with Idina (Broadway Elphaba) and Kristin (Broadway Glinda). It is such a good performance and it full circle with the OG composer on the piano. Frozen 2: This one is just a silly side video maybe ;))) Fun little rehearsal video of the cast singing Some things never change- https://youtu.be/6-CCxYR80mU?si=yyNYlKSkwdVOLO_O Encanto: Live at the Hollywood Bowl: they performed all songs live Moana Dwayne The Rock Johnson singing Youre Welcome BTS- https://youtu.be/L-DWiPAftbQ?si=CY5Ku0w4CCdG8IXb I really think you need to have like a Behind the Scenes day, I love watching BTS and ik many of us do!!

Britt Quinn

That's awesome! I never knew that was her!

Zach

The woman with the black glasses and yellow hair is Cynthia Erivo, Elphaba from Wicked. She was an assistant on getting the movie greenlit. She was considered for playing the part of Anne Wheeler, which Zendaya ended up playing, because Cynthia was performing on Broadway during the Greatest Showman filming. Also, Keala was just an assistant on getting the movie greenlit too, but Hugh Jackman was so impressed with her performance in this video that he made them write a part for her.

Marlene L Somes

ordinary day, painting in the rain, and heaven by todrick hall are really good.

Diamond Rose

Newsies, Newsies, Newsies!! And you HAVE to react to the From Now On recording from this. It was incredible!

Diamond Rose

I remember when this came out, it was absolutely incredible, the songs were so good, I downloaded the soundtrack the second it came out, bawled my eyes out to the behind the scenes songs, lost it crying during This Is Me in the movie, bawled like a baby.

Tyra Pettus

I think it’s time for Dream Girls

Sharlom Mudukuti

The “From Now On” rehearsal it Amazing as well!! A must watch!!

PumpkinSparks

Technically, tick tick... boom! is by Jonathan Larson and with a screenplay adaptation by Steven Levenson. Lin "just" directed the movie and helped changing the one-man (later three-man) play into a cohesive storyline that works for film + researching and adding bits of Jonathans life and his other play Superbia. Still absolutely impressive, especially as a directorial debut? Amazing! So yeah, watch it! That movie is awesome!!! But it's not a Lin musical, as many people assume...

Nikkelz

Haikyuu is currently on hold due to the strike situation.

Meowmixing

the original 1992 film is a neeeed from me, it was such a comfort watch for me over and over when I was young.

Hridayinee

Aaahhhh so happy you watched this one! It's very inspiring and moving

Hridayinee

Yes I agree with all of these!!! Go for it Luke!!

Sakura Minamino

From now on rehearsal is great too. Because Hugh Jackman was not supposed to sing.

Sakura Minamino

Also In the Heights needs to be on your list.

Shy

If no one has told you yet, definitely need to check out the movie ‘In The Heights’! After seeing your Greatest Showman movie reaction and that you been doing musical movies in general lately, I think you would really enjoy it!

Emily Jewett

Add my voice to the list saying “from now on” from this session is also fantastic. Would love to see you watch that one

Kadda

Maybe it is already on your list of videos to watch: Ariana Grande & Cynthia Erivo - live Oscars 2025 :-)

gmantsang

watch hugh's performace like this it was his "back to you" song

Jennifer Cash

You should watch Cynthia Erivo’s live performance (in show…wearing the yellow pants) of I Am Here. InCREDIBLE.

Thiago Jerohan

Have you noticed Cynthia Erivo (Wicked's Elphaba) there? You should check her live performances (I'm Here, Alphie, I Can't Sing, Getsemani and others). Even, there's a video of a rehearsal of "Rewrite The Stars" where she sings instead of Zendaya.

Emma Floyd

They did a similar video of their rehearsal video of From Now On, the last song in the movie! Jeremy Jordan sings for Zac in it, you’d recognize his voice! He’s Lucifer in Hazbin Hotel!

Leigh-Sherri Hays

So.. after Dreamgirls.. the next poll should include... Tangled, Chicago, In The Heights and .. idk something else but im definitely here for those 3 lol

Bekah Lynes Paradise

This is EXACTLY how I reacted when I first saw this. Of course I was on a commuter train and looked like a fool.

Alex Murillo

You really should watch epic the musical

Ashleigh

Thi performance makes me cry EVERY SINGLE TIME I watch it. You can see her really tapping into her own lived experiences to bring this song to life. It’s such a powerful performance.

Maria Hylton

Apparently Hugh had just had surgery on his nose for skin cancer and was told by his doctor he wasn't to sing or perform for a while but that went out the window on that day couldn't help himself lol

B3thbakes

Ahhh Luke! You're reactions are 100% my favourite!!! This is the energy and feeling I have when I watch this! Every single time! I love it

B3thbakes

Lets watch the Behind the scenes of Les Miserable 🙏🙏🙏🙏🙏🙏🙏🙏🙏

B3thbakes

Scott Way

The Nerdy Tiger
