ZabluLobsta

I wasnt expecting this but oh god, Luke reacting to My favorite movie saga

Sylisen E.

I was there on twitch and i will be here on patreon 😁

linked winters

I had a feeling this one would win. I love this movie!! hope you keep cosmic princess Kaguya as an option though, since there's basically no reaction videos to it :(

CosmicRaven

Those lotr animated films was my first impression of the series

dylan pennington

Fun fact. DreamWorks studied House cats behavior while preparing for designing toothless

Neo

Oh dang I love this one

Tonia Presley

I don't know if anyone has said yet or not. But there is also a animated series for how to train your dragon called "Dragons" that is set between the first movie and the second movie. It is a little corny compared to the movies. But It does dive deeper into the different types of dragons, and does explain some things that you can't find answers for in the movies. My family watched the animated series a lot when my kids were really little. They loved it. Also, my oldest son had a traumatic event where his two first baby teeth had to be surgically removed after an accident. Because he went from having 2 teeth to 0 teeth. We went to Builder A Bear and got him a stuffed Toothless Dragon. My son got the nickname toothless for a while until new teeth grew in.

Cynavox

"I thought this was new. I thought it came out in 2018 or something" 10 seconds later "The third one came out in 2019? So they're not that new then."

BlueMinotaur

Don’t dis the Ralph bashki film till you watch it. It does some things better than the Peter jackson films

seansky

totally enjoy HTTYD, and I probly would vote for it too, but probly should get to Totoro sooner than later......

Matthias

Was this a Twitch tournament?

Lu C

no, just a movie poll

Lu C

he is aware of the series, his kids watched it or are watching

Zerk

That little bit of you talking about star wars at the beginning makes me want to see you react to the clone wars animated show. If you haven't seen it already, I'm sure you'll love it.

shiro kun

Was so hyped to see this reaction oh myyy gooodness ♡♡♡ it's been ages since I last watched this movie but it remains one of my favourites ♡ cannot wait for the next one!

Nutellzz

I got so exited when I saw this reaction pop up, I never thought you would watch animated movies that aren't musicals. This is one of those rare trilogies where I genuinely think all 3 movies are great. 2 is my personal favorite and I hope you watch all 3 really soon, I can't wait.

Matthias

Where and when?

Emily Jewett

I recommend the rest of these movies, 2 is my favorite but they are each consistently good. If you have not seen the Pixar movie inside out, that’s one I think you would like. It’s emotional, no pun intended, but the kind of lessons and stuff are great. Also if you haven’t seen kung fu panda 2 that’s my favorite of that trilogy as well.

Nikkelz

impromptu movie night due to the ongoing twitch situation we were limited in options. A message went out on YT/Discord yesterday about what stream would entail & vote was held at start.

Nico D. Dragon

I watched the live action while flying for the first time had the perfect sunrise clouds to fly through along with it. It was amazing. Also the soundtrack is my ultimate weapon for insomnia (if I'm not watching along with you till 3AM)

Shadow_284

Just FYI, it's "How to Train YOUR Dragon" not *a* dragon. Might wanna update the title/tag. 😛

Sophtatic

This movie has the absolute best score. I'm pretty sure John Powell even said this is his masterpiece

Gianna

This movie is the best!! I really want to you watch the secquel!! 😊 The animates movies are so underrated, I recomend you watch "Wild Robot", you gonna love it!! ✨

Joshua Vaughn

I got the 2 and a half men reference!

StealthyTrapper

This movie was the first time I ever went to the cinema with my dad, it'll always have a special place in my heart. Can't wait for this reaction.

Orkidaisy

I knew you would love this one! I can't wait to watch the 2 and 3 with you! :)

Sophtatic

The tv show is also super great, it explores more dragons and does some world building

Vicente Machuca

i don't know how we get here with this reaction but i'm so happy that it happened

WhiteDragon6

I grew up with these, glad you get to experience them too!

火

the blinking cursor on the subtitles is the "caret browsing" feature and can be toggled with F7, people often enable it by accident

Vicente Machuca

cinema therapy made some really good videos about this trilogy, i extremely suggest them but they all are about the three movies

TrySky

What an amazing movie

Vicente Machuca

when toothless do that scribble in the sand, he is trying to draw hiccup, just like him is drawing toothless

Maisie

I'm selfishly so glad that the anime was paused for a bit because I really enjoy your reactions to the different movies!

Sarah Blum

Just sat down with my spaghetti, let's gooo!!! 🐲♥

Dj

I'm glad your started watching this. The how to train a dragon movie series has great replay value

SidekickSteph

Will you be reacting to Night of the Seven Kingdoms? It’s GOT worlds and it’s a gem and amazing, I think you’d enjoy it!

Ameth

2:03:00 that's exactly what toothless was doing. He waited until Astrid and his dad said "sorry", once they both apologized in both scenes toothless' face changed and course corrected.

Ameth

The council committee of planet earth has universally agreed How to Train Your Dragon is the best animated film of multiple generations <3 <3

Felix Victor Thain

I'd love it if Luke watches the other 2 movies, but the series is def a stretch. Honestly only hyper invested fans will enjoy.

shiroyama kurosaki

Eels change the fire in dragons stomachs and makes them unable to control it . Basically it makes the sick . Something found out in the show .

shiroyama kurosaki

Also the guy who came up with design of stitch also did toothless!

MarianLaurentiu97

Imagine going to conquer a viking village and they attack you with dragons.

shiroyama kurosaki

The live action is trash the dragons redesigns are not good there scales look like fish scales . And if you care about the shows and movie in my opinion it’s horrible.

shiroyama kurosaki

In the live action they had stoic mock his wife who he loved dearly …it was disgusting

Godzy Lasserre

DRAGON !!!!!!! One of the best animated movies and series ever !!

NutellaCookiez N'Oreoz

Agreed, I remembered going, “didn’t he love his wife/still searching for her???”

SidekickSteph

Yes to Tangled 🙏 best of both worlds! Great story and great music. Top notch characters too!

Naili Mixam

If you want to learn more about the different dragons, you should watch the series. If you don't want to watch it as a reaction, you should attest give it a try by yourself. The series is definitely not a necessity, but it does add a lot of context and links the movies together quite well. On a side note, you should definitely react to Spirit Stallion of the Cimarrons. The score is by Hans Zimmer and the songs are by Brian Adams. The communication is mostly done through facial expressions and body language from the horses and rather the narration, the story is mostly up to interpretation through those and the songs.

RedSkorpion

The series explore basically all the dragons mentioned in the movie and more. Its all about hiccup discovering new dragons and other dangers. All happens between the first and second movie and explains some of the new stuff in the sequel. Not necessary to watch but it adds so much. Would recommend it

Dawn Stafford

Sorry, kind of new here. How do you join a live conversation? I am really enjoying watching the reactions. This is the only Patreon channel that I have invested in.

ClerZz IMO

Wtf, that's terrible.

Dyblood

Hold on I watched it and I don’t remember anything like that, when did this happen?

Nikkelz

If your referring to the chat hes talking to that is over on twitch, these are the livestream vods that are uploaded after the fact here.

Nicoxy11208

i would highly recomend watching all three movies they are all great

Heather McDougall

Oh man. This is one of my favorites! You should do Wild Robot!!!

Nicoxy11208

if you dont watch the other movies its like netflix not giving us the next episode of steel ball run xd

Super Ryo Reacts

2:00:40 No way with the Titan A.E. shout out! Man, buddy, the amount of undue hate that movie gets till this day, but fuck me do I ever love that movie! It pisses me off that that movie doesn't get the love it deserves! Is it perfect? No. But damn its just entertaining!

Kaden P

I saw one chatter recommend Wolf Children and NOW I NEED LUKE TO REACT TO IT

Erik Dobbs

I agree with this whole heartedly. I actually still have the movie on VHS if you can believe it!

Swiftbane

Nothing to do with the reaction itself Bothers me that your moderation team is deleting comments that they claim are political but really aren't when what it was talking about is within the movie or is commenting about the politics of the movies society just off limits if so then what is the point of watching these with a chat if they can't discuss said movie like that like I very much get it if it's real life actual politics but it wasn't it pertained to why Stoick was the way he was during hiccups final exam. sorry had to say it it bothers me

AHappyCat

I reccomend the both the series (defenders of berk and race to the edge) very much they are really enjoyable! Tho i would watch them first before the rest of the movies as the take place before! Again very peak!

Krowft

damn.. imo the reaction of the vikings to toothless was correct lol Understand that as far as they know that is a WILD dragon, just because it saved his son doesn't mean that it won't kill him or other people lol Even wild animals that were thought to have been tamed have suddenly turned aggresive and killed people they bonded with. When I see a WILD DRAGON suddenly rescue my son from another dragon, I don't immediately go "Oh! well I guess I can trust that dragon with my son's life!" I go "That dragon is behaving very strangely and unpredictable, I better get my son away from it!" As far as you know it's fighting the dragon over being able to eat your son or something. I think it's ridiculous to apply human-like or movie logic to what you assume is a wild animal in the heat of the moment. It's not like you're in a currently calm situation where you can take more chances lol

Cyber

I didn't know that you reacted to How to train your dragon last week until i got a notification about how to train your dragon this week. I think it might have been burried in some weird titling, since i dont want jojo or some tailor swift clips (which is fine, you do you king), but the title of those notifications might not have had the genre/series title early enough to be seen in a mobile notification. Just FYI :) But i'll watch both today, so thank you Luke. :)

Sian Richardson

These dragons literally are just cats with wings. Fish, cat grass, under the chin, light play... Exactly the same.

Cyber

honestly id rather not have the movies streamed anyway because Chat is so do damn distracting and keep making him pause at epic moments and he misses amazing deliveries or quotes, and misses out on an amazing sound design or animation because he's pausing or looking away too much there. Chat, for the love of god, let the man react to the movie, not to you. But personally i have a gripe with streamed movies because of that... Some streamers do it well like FlexieJay with the chat, but that chat community knows when to shut the hell up when they've already seen the movie and know something is coming: BREATHE chat, it's ok to not yap for 5 seconds or ask irrelevant questions (i'm looking at you, stupid Water Bretta guy from Sword art online reactions that ruined an entire episode with the neverending questions).

RoxyLoserlesbian

If you wanna see more dragons. You have to watch both series

Sakura Minamino

Agreed. Way too much hate for that movie. I enjoyed it.

Kenneth Hoerz

You have got to watch the Live Action version this movie! The character casting is spot on, the scenes are all perfect for the adaptation and follow the story wondrously, the music is epic, making the dragons look realistic is amazing.

Dorran

I'll be honest, I would have rather had a new story in live action, but... at least they did it justice, y'know? Still, I love the story, and there was a really great video a while back breaking down why Test Flight works SO well, with the way they use Hiccup and Toothless' motifs together... it made me tear up all over again! I'm not surprised this one won... and, honestly, I understand why you go with musicals, but there are SO many great Disney, Pixar, and DreamWorks movies... you're gonna love 'em. I really hope you get to Zootopia/Zootropolis soon. The sequel just came out on video, and they're both great!

KitKat_Moushi

one of my favourite underrated movies is home( by dreamworks and it has some AMAZING SONGs like red balloon, towards the sun, feel the light and dancing in the dark

AB Palmolja

Please react to the series too! It's amazing! Great worldbuilding and adventure. It's called: How to train a dragon: Race to the edge!

Sarah_M

check out dreamworks prince of egypt

Sakura Minamino

People forget that PG means Parental Guidance. Back in the day, it was up to parents discretion if it was appropriate to their kids. Now a days, they treat PG as G , but occasionally you do get actually PG appropriately rated movies.

System_Glitch

Now I'm desperate for a reaction to the series Race to the Edge as well. I didn't realize how much I missed httyd until this reaction, I'll def have to rewatch it myself at least

System_Glitch

Btw just as a note, Race to the Edge is a series that goes between the first and second movie, but it's completely optional and you don't need to watch it to understand the second movie. I don't even think the movie references the series whatsoever.
