Dylan Cromche

I never got around to finishing this anime because I got it spoiled partway through excited to watch along this time

Roronoa Zoro

Was not expecting this. But i’m here for it

Austin Chen

perfect anime to watch in April!

Rem is best waifu

Double episodes, Luke knows how to please. Btw the music in this anime is amazing. I starting listening to piano just because of this anime. Hope you all enjoy it, it is one of my favorites.

Malik Ford

I learned piano because of this btw

Malik Ford

Ah he waited till April

Alejandro Barajas

This is a must rewatch on Patreon, the amount of censor that this anime will have on Youtube is going to be abysmal. Enjoy the ride! This is one of my favorites, specially on the OST aspect, not just for the classical pieces, also for the originals.

xrmy

Oh god help this man

Higgx8

Time for Peak. Up there with HxH for me.

Nikkelz

This was a secret sub goal last year. You can thank tatersalad for donating a huge amount of subs for this along with campaigning for others to support it aswell~

Nikkelz

Music centric anime usually goes one of two ways, heavy on SOL or heavy on the musical elements and the people behind them. Atm you've only really seen bocchi which I'd say falls more in the first camp along with shows like K-on. While both are great for their own reasons the latter I tend to resonate with more (pun intended). Would love for you to check out nodame cantabile, beck or even hibiki euphonium if you enjoy the musical aspects and a deeper understanding of "their world". Your in for a beautiful ride with this one & I'm sure tater and everyone who subbed to get this & march through are thrilled your finally starting.

Rime_Draws

Yes!! This is my all time favorite anime

AdrixelCV

Luke decided it by himself

Ara Araragi

Regarding Kousei's home life, they explained in the first episode that his dad is away for a month or two because of work (how long he's away depends on the client's needs)

Saiful Saiful

Yessssss you finally do it I thought I need to wait more I'm excited for the whole journey

ao kaze

Yaaaay !!! I’ll let this one marinate so I can binge it !!

ao kaze

Thought it was mine too when I saw the post 🥹 Happy Birthday !! 🎂

Marcio Neves

Wait, what? NO WAY! This Anime is marvelous, I hope you enjoy it 😊

Cyber

BUCKLE UP EVERYONE. We are riding this song together.

Parampreet Singh

Luke starting this in April is also very poetic. Can’t wait honestly

Dj

Maybe they have gardens in the rural areas, but not in cities like where they live. Having the space to have a personal garden is a luxury there

Vicente Gómez

No way we are getting Your Lie in April, Haikyuu and Ascendance of a Bookworm. This is the best month ever!

Rare_pvk

My heart is not ready.

Lichmourne

God watching these 2 episodes again makes me want to re-watch everything again. I can't wait for you to see more of it.

Matthias

Are you mad about it? xd

Matthias

I binged the whole thing during the easter weekend xd

Christo Badenhorst

There is so much I want to say and yet I cant... All I can say is... I'm 100% in for this ride... this anime have a very special place in my heart and your one of the few reactors I think who is really going to appropriate it..

shinn1692

I'm already sick.

Devilish132 .

Oh. So here we start the 3rd or maybe even 2nd most emotional ride in the anime history? This would be great. Time to cry again :D

alicev89

I remember going to a friend to watch League of Legends finals over 10 years ago. I found this anime while I was at his place, and binged all episodes ignoring the tournament completely. I couldn't stop, it was so good.

jdoggivjc

Oh here we go (making sure tissues are close at hand). While this was never the technical masterpiece that Bocchi the Rock (which literally nailed the animation of playing the instruments) or Sound! Euphonium (KyoAni doing KyoAni things) had (especially with this kind of being a dark period of A-1 Pictures in terms of quality of animation production, outside of things like SAO, Gate, and Fairy Tail), nor the popularity of music with drama in storylines like in the Bang! Dream franchise (especially Ave Mujica, where I’ve been compelled to buy their albums), Girls Band Cry, and others, what Your Lie in April really does is communicate the beauty and emotion of music as well as the story that it tells.

cread13

oh no he has started this one. oh boy is it gonna hurt

Jenny Rolandsson

I watched a clip on YouTube where professional musicians commented on how accurate the hand movements and stuff was in different anime and this was really accurate unlike a lot of other music anime.

HKAMILAH

Can we get more Beyoncé please

Fay X84

Luke, it’s not a must‑watch, but you really should check out the OVA before jumping into Episode 6. It’s worth it just for that “Ah, I see” moment 😉

slipstride

Oh hell no im not putting myself through this again

Wirk Leon

2:24 I *think* it was a sauced-up meatball, but uh... the story is almost 20 years old when animals in fiction would eat anything soooooo who knows!

Marcio Neves

I am still considering if I should watch or not. I think I will, it has been enought time, already 😅

Marcio Neves

Censor, due to the musics? That depends. For sure they are all in public domain, but the performances themselves are not. So, who knows?

Aaren YASS

Ah yes, We Cry in April. Luke ain't ready and after all these years, neither am I! 😂

Arima Kousei

Nah bro. I'm too scare to watch this anime again. At one point, I had tried and learned to play this anime's soundtracks too, hearing it again in these episodes already got me all over the place. Hope you have a great time watching this anime! It will be worth it.

Coco22

What do you think the first one is?

Alex

Oh my god I've been waiting so long for this. Time to be broken again

Some0neElse

Good that you commented on the finger movements during the piano scene in episode 1. From what i know its actually same situation as "Cat Concerto" from Tom and Jerry - The animation is made to match the notes of whats being played

Sian Richardson

This is done a lot in anime. Apparently they record the actual performance and then try match the animation frame by frame.

Hitsters

Oh ! Your Lie in April :D So glad you picked it up ! And that you're enjoying it already ! hope it will continue Oh, before I forget, since you reminded me in your thoughts after ep 1 when you claimed that once you start something, you finish it: I've rewatched the entire reaction of My Dress Up Darling s1 with you, but I can only find the first episode of s2 on your Patreon collection. Did something happen or did you drop it maybe ? I mean, it's fine if you did (I'm surprised if so,since you seemed to enjoy the anime so far) but if you didn't drop it and the reaction are somewhere on the Patreon I'd gladly continue this journey with you :D Anyway, thx again !

Michael

March Comes in Like A Lion and Your Lie in April at the same time is a bold move for your mental health.

Nikkelz

Dress up season 2 was never voted in, during the time it was airing it along with several others had first episode reactions to gauge interest for the season, not all of them had enough support to be picked up. Until another "returning show" vote or a tourney that is applicable for dress up happens it won't be reacted too. This season there is a similar requirement for slime to have enough interest to be picked up or not, we'll know that by weeks end.

Oatmeal1504

Whoever said this might be your number one is high out of their mind. I love this anime dearly, it's a masterpiece. But I really doubt this could compete with the likes of AOT or Hunter X Hunter in almost anyone's mind. Top ten on the other hand. Very possible.

Airtiger

I hold this anime dear to me, but I honestly think that HxH, or My hero will be his favorite

Hitsters

Yh Idk. I love nekketsu shonens, love HxH, love AoT, but I prefer Your Lie in April over the three mentioned But I agree I doubt it has the potential to be his n°1 :D

Roronoa Zoro

I watch it at least once a year. So i’m here for every episode

Daniel Thunberg

Kosei's father travels a lot in his work, but since Tsubaki's family lives next door they help when needed. My 3 favorite love Anime is: 1. Your Lie in April (2014) 2. Fruits Basket (2019) 3. Golden Time (2013)

Marcel Hanke

Oh no I watched YOUR LIE IN APRIL one time and it was beautiful but i broke my heart forever </3

Dragoniers Play

Your Lie in April? Oh, you poor summer child.

Moriyasha01

Oh no this anime, don´t get me wrong i love it, it's amazing. But still oh no....^^

Jessica

God time to relieve the trauma, im already laughing thinking about the pain luke is going to experience

SvenBrnn

Yes the music peaces have i high production value. There were even pianists and violinists reacting to this and saying that the movements and piano keys pressed are accurat. Thanks for reacting to one of my favourit animes :)

Slipstream

Those music compititions in Hibiki Euphonium are intense. You feel every moment.

Hitsters

Ooooh right, forgot about that, it makes sense xD Tysm for the reply !

Binbou

WAIT HE'S WATCHING MARCH AND APRIL AT THE SAME TIME??? IN MARCH AND APRIL???? WHAT IS HAPPENING

ReDragon8700

OMG! Ive been waiting years for this!

Toasterfinal5

I waited patiently for you to get to this way back when you started your anime journey. One of my top ten. It was one of the more memorable ones I’ve ever watched.

Toasterfinal5

Understatement of the century lol. So true !

Zandrick Krowe

definitely pick up Angel Beats! since you reacted to the opening years ago.

Krawbs

He reacted to it on Patreon. Search it up under collections or posts.

Yula

Oh boy. You’re in for a long good ride.

David Stowe

I watch this every year and every year it hits harder than ever. I'm glad this year I get to experience along side you watching for the first time.

David Stowe

I know it'll never make a poll list but for anyone else reading this, if you want something kinda similar to this, check out "golden time"

David Stowe

Yooooo, I just suggested golden time! I thought I was the only one who loved it.

Arctic_Hokkyoku

I will say, as an Avid fan of this anime I checked out the OP band. Goose House...they are amazing but sadly disbanded a while ago. Check them out if you just have some time for some music.

Arctic_Hokkyoku

This is still my Second Favorite Romance Anime. Right behind Clannad and in 3rd would be "I want to Eat Your Pancreas"

SPENCE DOG!!!

I wouldn’t get too attached if I were you

Xhaxhu

All I'm going to say is just remember your theories from episode one.

Kyle Garrett

One of my favourite Anime openings, and one of my favourite Anime's. Glad you're finally watching it!

ShiningLugia

Not gonna lie, I nearly cried when I heard they were disbanding. I'd been listening to them for years at that point. To this day, "Fly high so high" and "Best Friend" are still in my top 20 songs.

Dc Alt

Hi GOT I don't want be annoying or disrespectful but I want to know when are you starting one piece it's fine if you don't want to start it soon or you don't know when will you start I just want your thoughts and plans for it

Airtiger

God I love this Anime's music

Jona87

Finally we are going to watch Yout lie in April! You're gonna love it so much!

Kyle Garrett

Has to finish Naruto first and that's been indefinitely slowed down because of a guy sending streamers false strikes on twitch. So just be patient, it won't be this month for sure though.

Earl Preston

i know i havent posted on a series in a while its been kinda all over the place for me this year so far but found some time to sit down and watch some reactions with you. Why oh why did i choose your lie in april to jump back in? My gosh i just had the ending flashback. i obviously wont say anything else. but my oh my. yes this is a fabulous anime in most regards. I'd love you to react to two rock style music animes - you loved bochi the rock. these arent exactly comedy but high drama (well mostly) Girls band cry

Earl Preston

and my go!!! bang dream Killer music both of them J Pop in the best regards. i have bought many of the albums of the different spinoffs of the two. the dynamics in the series are just stellar. and quite the roller coaster. if you love competition anime these two fit the bill - oh and AVE MUJICA spinoff is flipping wild for the bang dream series in terms of productin value, music and story telling.

Earl Preston

Yes same here it's been a long time since I've seen it so I think I'm ready. Though towards the end of episode 2 here I had a flashback of the ending and had that shock of remembering. It's going to be a ride for sure

Earl Preston

Yep my first time watching it since I finished it originally. Wow what a show

Dc Alt

Ohh but it's already finished is he plans to watch ovas and special too??

Liora

Bro I cant wait for more of this reactions

Jay P

I guessed luke would cry by episode 10. but 2? we might have killed him guys. I didn't think he's get this into the anime but i'm so glad he is. this is going to be an anime experience he won't forget.

Virax

Man too much pain in this top 3

古河渚

I can’t lie, I’ve tried multiple times to rewatch this anime but I can never get interested enough in it, so I won’t be here for this one. That being said, as a romance it does really well, and when it hits it does hit damn hard. Enjoy the ride. If you ever want to watch pure music anime by the end of this react series that isn’t a rock band anime (I see yall gbc and bandori enjoyers I’m one of them myself), I can’t recommend enough Sound! Euphonium and Nodame Cantabile enough. Have fun with the reactions everyone, and Luke, be brave

Neo

This show is something special. If you don't watch to the end, then you won't understand why so many people will never forget this show

That_Suave_Asian Vlogs

Oh i see, so i'm just gonna be crying alongside you brotha as i watch this for the nth time? okay okay cool cool cool cool cool cool cool cool coooool

EMMIL

Love that you mentioned the dialogue! That’s a huge thing for me that makes or breaks an anime. So far, the best casual dialogue I’ve seen in an anime was in Run With The Wind. It flowed so well and really made me feel like I was with that group of characters, both dub and sub, but I will say it’s also one of the strongest dubs I’ve watched. The conversation was just perfect!

Matthias

Next two episodes may cause another tear up moment

Kosumi

OH shit, this was probably like the third anime I watched once I learned that DBZ and Pokemon were anime. The music and story in this are so amazing it made me a bit sad that I gave up on learning to play Violin lol

Tysado

The dubbed also has fantastic dialogue!
