I think the best word for Iida would be "sincere" or "earnest." He's a genuine person who says what he means and sticks to his morals and beliefs.

I hope you get to watch MHA Vigilantes at some point. It's sort of a prequel / spin-off that features a different protagonist and various heroes from the main show. Not sure when the best time is to watch it though. A couple of main show twists might not hit as well if you haven't watched it, but you also don't want to get spoiled in any way. Maybe others can recommend a good point to start watching it.

In regard to the statement that the costume can be a hindrance. Just assume a costume with a giant attached wrecking ball as weapon. Would take this costume with you if you want to rescue people on a sinking ship? The implemented features of a custome can become a hindrance in certain situations.

Luke you are correct. The crime rate in Japan is only 8% because All Might is so strong. The students reacting to the reporters were trying to answer without sating anything important. Yeah he's muscley. Of he is. Iida's whole response was that he was so much without saying anything. You saw the reporters were getting bored with him.

Imo season 2 and 3 are peak. This arc is definitely good, but still a bit basic. Except for Aizawa, we don't have any real big character moments or very creative fights in this arc

Thirteen being called 'The Gentlemanly Hero' is very weird as a dub watcher, because in English they were definitely voiced as a female character. Also: Early evidence here of why Tsu is best girl. Frog supremacy!

yeah i feel like with how action packed the last 3 seasons are, the first 2 or 3 are kinda slept on lmao (but personally they'll always be when i liked the show most - i do love the later seasons too ofc tho)

For rescue training, some costumes are less suitable than others, hence the freedom of choice. Let's say your costume covers your body and is made of foam, and the rescue exercise (which you don't know beforehand) involves rescuing a drowned person; then your foam costume would be very cumbersome during the exchange.

late, but as someone who studied in asia, when we first start the school year, the first day is usually a lot of introductions and setup. especially during homeroom. not sure why they didn't do it on the first day, but yeah we spent the whole period deciding on the class's leadership roles. though it's usually more so directed by the teacher, and students a a LOT less enthusiastic about being in roles.

well, Gentlemanly just generally means polite/well mannered/chivalrous, though it is most often used for men. And well, Thirteen being voiced by a female makes perfect sense
