Why has it taken this long? There are so many good anime. Lengthy shows are usually good, but when a show is still ongoing, it's more difficult to recommend cause if they suddenly cancel it, you're left without closure. MHA is now over and a new sequel movie(?) called More has been given a release date. You can watch it all without the wait, so it's a great time to start watching. Vigilantes manga is also over but not fully animated yet unfortunately. The manga ending is great though, so I hope they give us more seasons. Side note: I do hope you also get to watch Detective Conan some day cause there are hundreds of episodes and you'll enjoy it if you like Agatha Christie / Sherlock Holmes type murder mysteries. It's not completed yet though.

Luke, you finally gettit lol. I literally said this very thing last ep and Ibeen saying it. You'll never discover the old greatest anime shows ever because all the choonies don't know what good anime even is lol. They'll recommend all the new shows like SAO, but they'll never want you to watch OG peak like Hajime no Ippo and Initial D because most of them weren't even born when those shows came out. Yeah, we have modern hype like Overlord, Re: Zero, MHA, and Tensura, but you still need to watch the likes of Guyver, Gundam, Legend of the Four Kings, and, more recently, One Piece and Bleach.

It never really explains it in the anime, but the reason Deku's arm didnt break is because the shock of the punch was absorbed by Nomu's quirk. Its like punching a training pad vs a wall. Many of your questions will be answered, it might take a season or two, but it'll get there.

I mean, I'm not gonna lie luke the thinking is kind of fair. Considering your schedule, it would take a year and a half to get through a long show. There are people who understandably don't want to wait a year to be able to see their favorite reactor react to their favorite show, especially when they know their pick is not guaranteed to be next. So they just decide to give you a show that's shorter instead. Well, I can totally understand people who prefer Dub to Sub, don't judge, especially when they discovered the show with it. BUT, as a French people who didn't grow with english dubs, when I watch an english dub, I nearly always feel something's off, really really off. And it's all about habits, I'm sure. Even now, when I discover a show with Sub, watching it later in French Dub is a torture. (I watched a reaction of KPOP Demon Hunter in French Dub with Dub songs... My heart still hurts today ^^) So, for me, I think shows should be streamed in Subs.

It's just few I could put together. They are not short but they are best reaction content out there with similar build up. I tried for past year vote on them many times but they never succeeded in vote. They were also hit for other content creators on youtube. I recommend those what can get views on youtube but also a hit for patreon. You are missing this gold all this time. I don't know why. Just stream few of them like you did with Danmachi. Those were best streams I can remember. They have same value as Danmachi season 4 or My hero Academia. I always wanted to push them in vote ... this is a result. You have such a gold out there you could stream and made videos out of them for youtube but you dont. I don't know why. If you like Slime and Danmachi like me I know you would love every single one of them. Just pick one and try.

Barack O. Llama I will second that Meliodas from the Seven Deadly Sins anime never raped anyone. That series would have been rated 18+ if he had done such a thing. Is Meliodas a pervert that constantly gropes Elizabeth? yes. But that it not rape, That would be like saying Mineta raped Tsuyu last episode due to groping her. As for age of consent, While we do not know what that is in the world of the Seven Deadly Sins. Most anime that take place in that time period (medieval) have that set to 15 and Elizabeth is 16 at the start of the series. (it helps if one is able to separate fiction from reality with these type of things) As for the original post. I do agree that this was a great episode, And while I do not agree it was the best in the whole series myself, It is indeed a valid opinion to have. But as you have dropped it after season 5 out of 8 seasons. That does mean that there are 3 seasons worth of episodes that might in theory still have the potential to take the #1 spot of best episode of this series for you ^_^

So the reason Deku didnt break his arm is because Nomu completely absorbed the impact of the punch which is what breaks Dekus body. Its kind of like firing a gun with absolute 0 recoil

I understand why, logistically, but I wish one of the girls was at the pull up scene/fight with All Might and the Nomu. Ochako or Yayorozu would have been great. This will become an unfortunate running issue that we find in all Shounen. IMO, Kaachan is a better written Sasuke Hand Guy Villain talks like everything is a Gamer joke. He said 'He used a cheat' like a cheat code to win. Some short animes can be excellent, but they tend to be more Comedy or Slice of Life. Or BL (Yuri on Ice, Sk8 Infinity. I like sports anime). People 'hate' MHA cause it was really popular for a while, and for everything popular you need the 'too cool for it' crowd.

I dislike the way they phrase things in this show sometimes, 'Each hit is with more than 100% of his power', Like, I get what they're trying to go for, surpassing your limits and all that, but it just sounds so bad said like that. There's a particularly bad instance of it that actually made me drop the show at one point because I was rolling my eyes too hard to continue watching, and it's just as bad on a second watch. A shame, I generally enjoy the series and I'd really love it if it didn't bother me so much.

Yeah to be honest, the first few seconds when he says "Hello everybody", there is no need to scream or shout cuz honestly its kinda too loud. Other people are worse of course but a few notches down would be good. Jacksepticeye is notorious for doing something similar but he usually turns down his voice volume a bit, so it just means Luke needs to lower the overall volume by a couple notches maybe.

This is why sooooometimes you should just pick things to watch and not ALWAYS let the community decide! Another issue is missing out on great shows that have smaller fanbases. I remember when you reacted to the OPs and then EDs of Banana Fish, you seemed very interested! It's a great show and VERY underrepresented in the anime reaction community. I think you'd love it, but I doubt it will ever win a poll. I'm really glad you've started MHA, Haikyuu, and AtLA recently. They're all great. And for a long time I've known that you would LOVE MHA! i disagree with that logic. There is so much anime that is top tier. If he farm it all at once then ... he has no room for growth after that. He said he will watch one piece but even that is a calculated move. Delaying things retain that fanbase to watch other videos. If he'd watch all top anime all the time then he would run out of top anime and then those fans leave. Gotta have a supply always. Also so far his main channel anime, it performed well. Idk what he can pick after this one. Basically he had luck and 100% of what he got transformed into good results. Imagine he watched mha ages ago. what anime would he even watch now. One piece will be on stream not solo reaction main channel like mha. It's best to watch 7-8/10 shows in between to buy time and keep treadmill going and keep the best for main channel anime

@kenneth I think he cringe because the show is playing with words. On a regular we use 40-60% of our muscles. athletes up to 80%. but that means our 100% is 80%. and in life threatening situations we unlock 100%. 100% means using all muscle fibers to max which allow super human feats, so 100+ its not possible unless when you say: 'I am using 100% of my force' but your 100% is in reality 80% , so you can go up to 120%. The statement is true, but can be cringe if we assume that all might actually use 100% always no limiter all the time. So my guess is that he doesn't use normal body logic or he thinks that numbers are cringe representation. I do believe author made correct choice. Majority agree, minority disagree. Not that he is wrong but as author you need views and sell to make money so pleasing majority is more important than being correct in metaphors or whatever.

My hero academia got copywrite claimed a lot when it was coming out so people couldn't really react to it as much. Also it has some worse parts later. Definitely killed the hype for me, and there is an issue with the stakes after a time at least for me.

The problem with that mentality is that the same exact thing happens but in reverse. A never-ending line of shorter series get recommended and then the big one is never gotten to. So really, the best course of action is exactly what he's doing currently: let the community decide. He's pleasing the majority by leaving it up to majority vote, and that's just the safest option.

Something about MHA is that it only gets better the more you watch, every season surpasses the one that came before it, though each season has their own fans and haters, especially starting from 2nd half of S5, it gets exponentially better each season, im not even kidding

I always assumed when the show said "100%" it means "Peak" and someone can surpass their own peak as they go. It doesn't mean "100%" of all they can ever do. Think about the max recommended heat/wattage of a CPU and how you can surpass that rating by having a beefier cooling system and overclocking

He's always left it up to a community vote. That was never the problem at hand. That's literally how his channel has ran since forever and that's never going to change. The issue is his schedule and how many episodes he does at a time. 3 episodes every week is just not nearly enough to get through a long show in a reasonable amount of time. And because of that and him being a busy person, he just can't do too many shows at one time. One of the best things hes done recently is open up the sunday slot to an anime of his own choice to react to.

There are people like us who watch for years and then there are people like him. He came here to have a good time and watch comments that say: "this is hype". Yes, Horikoshi himself has said all the movies are canon, even though only some of them have things that are included to the main story line in the anime. There were also canon one shots written to further expand on the movies that also canonize specific things that I won't get into here right now as not to spoil.

I swear that logic for anime recommendations is a curse. Look no further than One Piece to understand it! Sure it's over 1000 episodes, but there's a reason it's persisted for so long. But let the haters tell you, it (like any long running anime) sucks, and ask them why, they'll say "It's too long!" or "If it's not good by episode 3, then I'm out!", and that's how people miss out on what could be their next favorite story. Don't care what anyone says, this generation of anime fans suck, it's why we end up with anime like Solo Leveling, all flash and little substance. Keep rocking it with MHA and any long running anime Luke!

I agree in general to your comment but as a MASSIVE One Piece MANGA fan I have to say the anime is really not that good imo. It is mid at best, oc some scenes are amazing and I personally really love and enjoy the pre time parts, but after the time skip? Nah, it's not for me, Toei animation just sucks, haha. I hope WIT will do a better job.

While I won't say the animation is perfect by any means this is one we'd have to agree to disagree. As someone trying to learn animation it's fun to see Toei's animation evolve over the different arcs, and while post timeskip up to a certain point is admittedly subpar, the animation for Wano and beyond that has been a standout for me personally. And yeah, I can't wait to see what WIT Studios cooks up for One Piece, I have high hopes for them!

Nah the animation quality is decent throughout the years even in the early days and has progressively been better. The issue with the anime is it's dogshit pacing. By pacing i DO NOT MEAN the story progression pacing, but rather the FILLERS and Purposely Dragged out scenes/ repeated frames just to hit that 24 min air time. This got progressively worse after the post time skip. Sure they upgraded their animation, but the horrendous pacing has ruin so many Awesome moments in the series. As for recommendation, i think one piece is a brilliant series to recommend and its also my favorite mainstream shounen but i much rather recommend other shounen first because they are shorter and also most of them are completed. plus what's the rush? even if they catch up to the one piece series, waiting for new episode is a pain in the ass.

Frankly I agree completely with everything you said and don't have much else to add. Lol, but seriously, the pacing is by far the biggest issues I take with One Piece and is the only thing that would make it a hard recommend. And I typically don't mind filler as long as it's fun and entertaining, but later arcs got pretty bad with it. I could almost forgive the cost-saving animation reuse since for as much as it sucks it still a pretty common practice, but they lose me with the recap episodes. And yeah, there's plenty of shounen I'd recommend before One Piece (preferably something a bit more niche and in need of attention), it just bugs me when objectively it's a good show but no one gives it a chance simply because of the length. Double that when they glaze shows that at best subpar and at worst mediocre in comparison.

The reason people have trouble with One Piece is also the length… to be fair, some of that is justified bc, just like another show about dragon balls, they anime catches up with the manga and they pacing goes SOOOO SLOW, but overall One Piece is an amazing show that I know you will absolutely love.
