Ana F

YAAAASSS WE ARE HERE! So excited for you to hear this. Let’s GOOOO! 🐝🐝🐝

Lynette Cooper

Luke, I hope you do a little research on each song after this. There is so much education in this album.

HELENIA DUKES

We made it!!!!! I LOVE this album. I cannot wait to get off work and enjoy!!!

Jaywoot

The theory is that there going to be a film containing act I ii & iii. There’s a story line to understand Cowboy Carter was originally supposed to come first she wears white for cowboy carter (white cowboy hat= hero) at the end of cowboy carter the black hat(villain) cowboy aka beyonce kills white hat hence the beep at the end of the album which beyonce displays to be gun fire(beyonce bowl) which was originally was supposed to go into Act ii(renaissance) in the originally teaser for renaissance beyonce was wearing the black cowboy hat which shows the villain killed her she walks into a room which transforms into I’m that girl visual at the end of amen there’s a weird transition sound which sounds kinda like traveling dimensions (echovielle) renaissance represents the rebirth. If you listen to the end of I’m that girl a cappella you’d hear beyonce say “I’m the real beyonce let me out” There’s also visual from both tours where alien beyonce is tapping on the screen and for cowboy Carter there’s the real beyonce banging on the screen trying to get out.

kayie

His reaction to it is on YouTube

Simona Sutt

Oh there is a visual for Bodyguard on Youtube!! You have to see it!!😏😏

MykeYonce

Blackbiird is a cover song from The Beatles. Paul McCartney said the song was inspired by the civil rights movement. in 2016, Beyoncé performed “Daddy Lessons” from Lemonade at the Country Music Awards and the disgusting looks she received from the audience and the backlash from the public was unbelievable. she got so much hate just because she was a Black woman at the CMAs and they felt it wasn’t the “right place” for her. that’s what inspired her to do this album. she has been working on Cowboy Carter since 2016. that’s what the first song Ameriican Requiem is about! this album is soooo much deeper than you think which is why when reacting to Beyoncé, a deep dive is necessary..especially for her later projects!

DylanTlarc

YESSS FINALLY ! I was so excited for this reaction

Simona Sutt

It’s called Beywatch. It’s on her channel

Tiffany

THREE HOURS YAAAAAAAAAAS!!!!!!!

Michael

It's time to watch the COWBOY CARTER TOUR NEXT!!!!!🤠

Josh Winsor

Ahhhhh I’ve been waiting so patiently! Can’t wait to watch when I get home!!!

Ahmir B

It’s so accurate that you think of the albums as visual because they actually explained that during the creation of the album each track was like its own soundtrack to a country western film

Gencarlos Nunes

Before you finish this journey, you certainly should react to “Cowboy Carter Tour Las Vegas FULL CONCERT”. There’s no official record but has “fan made” on youtube

Ivannia Contreras

I don't know why but I wasn't expecting CC today! OMG!!! I can't wait to get home and watch this reaction 🥰🤠🐝

Sarah

I’m thrilled for this one!! Yay!!!

gabby 🦋

yess i sent you a fan made tour film it’s on YT and the clearest and best i’ve found

I.AmZai

Now you HAVE to watch the Cowboy Carter Tour

Demarrion Bass

We need to get him a decent cc tour video

My’kel J

YAAAAAAASSSSSSSSSSSSS!!!!!!!!!

Ruben

Who be liking the video before yall even press play?? 😭😭😂😂🙏🏻❤️

Emoni Kellum

You literally don't have to watch lol what a negative thing to say

T

What a journey!! 🥹

Jason LeMar

Such a full circle moment for you! Like someone else said, rewatching the NFL halftime with now have you watching through a different lens.

Leigh-Sherri Hays

Lol.. im NOT watching.. but im ready for some other journey.. Doechii, Tupac... literally anything else.. not even Kendrick lasted this long!

A

Second this comment

T

Luke please check your DMs!! 🤗🤗 I know I’m annoying lol

T

Blackbird is originally by Paul McCartney inspired by the civil rights struggle in the US particularly the Little Rock Nine, a group of black students who integrated into an all white school in Arkansas.

Jeremiah Geans

Luke here’s a fun fact you were right about the Beyonce x Miley collab 2 most wanted does a interpolation of landslide

T

Down bad okay!!

T

Immediate tears on Protector “wullaby, pwease” !!

Sarah

The opening track is a direct response to her performance of Daddy Lessons from Lemonade with The Chicks at the country music awards. People were leaving the room, talking, ignoring her, and all around upset that Beyoncé was performing at a country award show. (The song is wayyyy more than that, but several lines are directly in response to the rudeness and racism she experienced due to and during that performance). It also features Jon Batiste as co-writer and co-producer, his New Orleans influence “looka there looka there now”. He’s another one of my absolute favorite artists, I’d love you to check some of his work out!! His debut album won album of the year in 2022.

Angela Ramirez

I’m going to comment and edit as I watch hehe. Like the queen said - it is not a country album it is a Beyonce album 🥰 It is so hard to rank beyonces albums because they are amazing works of art. However, I love how raw Lemonade is and so it always been my favorite. But when Cowboy Carter dropped…like idk it has to be one of my favorites now and it’s an internal fight I have with myself. It’s art, historical, it’s personal. I love it. I think it would come full circle if you react to Beyonce bowl again now knowing the album and who she is as an artist and you get a better quality performance of it 😂. And Blue is in it as well! I cry every single time I listen to 16 carriages and Protector. I can’t wait to see your reaction to Protector. Additionally, I agree that we won’t get visuals until all acts are complete. And to add on, I think before she loved visuals to allow us to see how she wanted us to envision it. But the three act series is meant to teach, research, and appreciate. And visuals can be distracting. All we can do with the two acts so far that are out is pay attention to the lyrics, research the history and connections, and have conversations with the genres she’s taking back. Blackbird is a Beatles song written by Paul McCartney. He dedicated it for the civil rights movement. Beyonce kept the original tapping of his foot and include 4 black country music singers. My rose is dedicated to her son Sir Carter 🥰 Beyonce knew that in order to launch this album she was gonna have to include some white legendary artists that have their “stamp of approval” such as Willie Nelson, Dolly Parton, Miley Cyrus and Post Malone (artists that have changed genres without as much scrutiny as Beyonce/other colored artists have.)

itskaykaynow

Back to say, the only visuals you're gonna get are looking up bits from the CC tour. PLEEEEEEASE do, she performed most of these songs the EXACT way you'd imagine, the exact way they needed to be done lol

Tesha

Beyoncé is insanely versatile! She can pull off anything atp!

Sarah

“Blackbird” was originally written by Paul McCartney in response to desegregation of schools in the US South. “Blackbird” is meant quite literally as Black girl/woman. He saw footage particularly of the Little Rock Nine in Arkansas and was inspired to write this hopeful song for those brave young girls.

Sarah

Oh Beyoncé also included 4 Black women country artists on the song, and at the Beyoncé Bowl performance, to help uplift them in their industry!

Aaron Whatever

Agreed! Lemonade is still my number 1 and Cowboy Carter is a close second.

FaxineiraDePomba

yes the horse is real and a fun fact is that it is a Lipizzaner horse that is born black and gradually turns white over time like the country genre

Amanda

I didn't know this would be coming today. omgggg

Teriagotemhookd

We made it! And now Luke feels like us. Like girl release the visuals! lol

Tesha

It’s so funny u say she should do a song with Stevie Nicks! Bc allegedly she’s on ACT III 👀

Karry forde

It's here! COWBOY CARTER. I love how you blush at desert eagle. 🤣🤣

Karry forde

I knew Luke would've cried at PROTECTOR.❤️

Michael Reynolds

You definitely need to watch the Cowboy Carter tour from one of the fan videos on YouTube. I went to the show and it was amazing

Naptural YEEN

Yes. Texas Hol' Em was a single.

Dana (Dah-Nah)

i say redo Beyoncé Bowl before the tour since that's how we witnessed it

Marez Canvas

The point is you are choosing to be in this space…and you chose to make a comment in a space where we are all enjoying Beyoncé’s music. So what response were you expecting?

Real Life Riot

Ok just finished and I loved your reaction as always! - WE DONT HAVE A DAMN CLUE HOW THE MUSIC WILL DROP**** - We have theories = A million of them - we are all convinced it is rock, tina turner type era and she has had many references lately to Stevie Nicks (Who I know has been in support of Beyonce and Destiny's Child) - HOWEVER - WE DONT KNOW - we never ever know! - We never knew about lemonade, we had no clue about the digital drop of Beyonce self titaled. WE DONT BLOODY KNOW! - With Renaissance we had the single "Break my soul drop" - and an old school roll out with a date - With Cowboy Carter there was a Verison (From UK so no idea if it is correct spelling of Verison) - Advert drop during the superbowl which contained the song "my house" and references to her previous bodies of work and the entire commercial focused on if she could break the internet (Going viral - Verison is a network provider I think) - then she dropped two singles plus dates of release for cowboy carter with 16 carriges and Texas hold em being the singles and a date of the album release - WE had the Renessaince world tour release and a film in the cinema (which FYI was amazing having been to the concert myself - for true Beyhive I was at the Coco Canel concert Lol) - so we have bugger all clue how she gonna release the next album or wtf it is called!! May 29th seems the be the biggest theory of date but again we thought she would use the Met Gala for it but again = nothing. CAN NOT WAIT! - All of the above does not include the fact she went on a tour after the release - Us Beyhive are getting greedy cause we been fed these past 4 years but if we follow the formula of the three part act trilogy of albums she should be releasing this year! - Plus her socials have been slightly more busier this past few weeks which usually indicates "MOTHER IS ON THE MOVE - SAVE YOUR BLOODY TAX RETURNS CAUSE IT S BOUT TO EXPENSIVE"

Hady

You should definitely check out Miley's discography at some point. You'll be very pleasantly surprised!

Any

We did it!!! 🐝🐝🐝 And theres no preparing for a beyonce drop we just wait for magic

My’kel J

Yea I looooove this one so much better than mine lol mine was good but this one is just better lol

Sydney Barrett

Lol prepare to be sick cuz the journey ain't over 🤣 🤧 😂

Torashi

it's almost like Kendrick's career is only half as long as Beyoncé's

Ced

React to the album of the year win !

Thiago LIma

You did it, congratulations Luke! ❤️🫰🏻

Qweencasss

Protector starts playing and I immediately go “Luke get them tissues” bless you! I cry every time I hear this song omg 😭

Qweencasss

Crazy that’s that’s where he semi started hahaha 😭

Jovaine Douglas

Hey Luke. Have you seen the movie Obsessed with Beyoncé being one of the main actresses?

Ania K.

Beyoncé uses symbols, numbers, and different references as clues for her new albums. I’ve been stanning this woman for so many years, and the only thing you really need to be prepared for is spending your coins, because those tour tickets were wild last year. I paid €600 for seats in Paris, and it was absolutely incredible. She is worth every cent. She’s that cunty, country, petty petty petty horse lady Giselle, so buckle up and be ready to pay the price :D

Anamaria McKenzie

Holy shit I can’t believe we are here!!!! I’m soooo happy, this is the best!!! 😭🫶🏼

Tesha

Raye wrote Rivverdance and she also wrote Bigger on black is king! Highly recommended checking out her albums! She’s insanely talented

Michael

Yup this is the best one

Mireille

As she herself said before the album's release, it's not a country album, it's a Beyoncé album, so she played around with genres and mixed them up; that's why you can go from "daughter" (opera style) to "spaghetti" (rap verse over Brazilian funk).

Simona Sutt

Oh! I didn’t know. Thought everything was on Patreon too. My bad :)

T

Bodyguard should’ve been a single!! Radio plays, Song of the summer!!

T

Bodyguard is Beyonce’s fav song. Raphael Saadiq (from Tony Toni Tone) on the guitar!!

PoshDoll

He is SO TALENTED!

Tasia F

This made me so happy!!! 😃 this album is soooo good 🤌🏾 And this live show was EVERYTHING!! We had a TIME in the audience for this tour 🙌🏾🙌🏾 ugh take me back!

Mireille

Actually, there are 20 songs and 7 interludes (those that last less than a minute).

Monique Parra

Right LOL I remember he was like “wait she makes music like this I didn’t expect this?!?” But it was mostly cowboy Carter hahahaha

Ashley Smoot

Please start saving to come to the US to see her! Apparently, the oversees audience is boring and doesn’t dance or

Victoriabxnd

Luke saying B needs to do a song with Stevie Nicks 👀💀

PoshDoll

BEEN KNEW 🤣 but it’s SOOOO GOOD UGH 😮‍💨

Ashley Smoot

If you want to see fire in Beyonces eyes see the video of her presenting an award to Meg the stallion and the host interrupts to put the attention back on Beyonce

Ashley Smoot

The opera is her trying to calm herself down from doing something else lol

T

This is a genre blender. In addition to classic country we have Gospel, Italian opera, Brazilian Funk/Spanish Flamenco, Rap, Irish Riverdance, Blues, Rock, etc. Because there is no Country Music and American culture without BLACK music, Italian Spaghetti westerns, Irish dancing/culture , Spanish guitars etc. IMMIGRANTS make America Great!

T

Y’all can’t tell me Spaghettii ain’t a Drake diss track 😂😂 Kendrick said “what is the braids?” and she said “and Im still yo head, cornrows” 🤣🤣 I didn’t a deep dive on this in the YT comment section of his Renaissance reaction if yall interested

T

I view Alligator Tears as a song dedicated to white women “Karens” who traditionally weaponize their tears and play the victim to get their way 🙃

Zarie Stevenson

That’s y we was telling you to go to the show even though you was just starting 😭🤣

Shaila Hollins

If you haven't recorded it yet, you should do the cowboy dress up when you watch the fan tour footage! We were all dressed up in our finest western gear so you should too!!

Mackboi99

I think you need to definitely rewatch Beyoncé Bowl after this

T

To your comment about Willie Nelson, I feel like all of the features are strategic: 🔸The country legends, Willie and Dolly, are there to co-sign the project due to the backlash and controversy. 🔸Millie and Post Malone are two white artists who, at one point, pivoted into the hip hop space; borrowing our sound and culture only to drop it and go back to country. She’s borrowing them and their audience back. 🔸Most Importantly, she used this as an opportunity to elevate the current Black country artist (Tanner Adell, Willie Jones, Shaboozey, etc.) who I’m sure are not being welcomed in the space just as she wasn’t welcomed!!

iki_ikz

You'd be correct to say a few would be against the album, but actually it seemed like half the whole music industry, half the country is still against the album being noted as a 'country' album, to the point where the Grammy's invented a new category for Country categories. Mostly white Americans trashed cowboy Carter

Miranda Cook

Blackbird has always been one of my favorite songs from Paul McCartney, but Beyonce made it even better. While Paul dreamed of a better future for black women during the Civil Rights Movement, Beyonce is the embodiment of that future and she’s using the song to uplift other black female country singers.

Monique

Another brilliant and thoughtful Beyonce reaction! As a member of the Beyhive, you look for clues and breadcrumbs Beyonce drops on her social media. She recently took down all her Cowboy Carter merchandise, and released an old picture of Destiny's Child w/Stevie Nicks & she was recently in a purple dress that was an homage to Stevie Nick's dress. So it's definitely rock ie Fleetwood Mac, Stevie Nicks & I'm sure there will be elements of her idol the late Tina Turner. But we still have no release date. Beyhive know to keep the $ ready for the upcoming drops😀

Kayla T

It vaguely references AA relationship with America in general as the alligator (crocodile) references the predators portraying themselves as the victims while eating our youth which could be a metaphor for culture or literally killing our youth like Emmett Till Trayvon Martin etc. and of course slave masters actually feeding new born babies to alligators for bait.

Kayla T

She featured the women from this song in the Beyonce Bowl

Miranda Cook

There’s also ‘Texas Hold ‘em (Pony Up) Remix’ that’s the version she performed at Beyonce Bowl

T

Agreed!! Thank you for expanding on that! 🤗

Jontavius D Royal

My Rose was originally titled Mr Sir. This was a song for her son!

T

Yaya is my 2 year olds favorite song. She even calls Beyonce “Yaya”. It’s either she wants to watch Paw Patrol or Yaya (Beyonce Bowl) 🤣🤣 She’s been hive since being in my belly at the Renaissance tour! 😅

Dianne Wilkins

“Beyonce is a genius and Cowboy Carter is a masterpiece.” A music history professor in Arkansas taught an entire class around this album. There is so much history in it! IMO Alligator Tears has some reference to Black people in US and their convoluted interactions with the US government. (So much love and sacrifice but only superficial acceptance.) Also you picked up on the Rodeo Chitlin Circuit where Black performers would go to Black rodeos.

gabby 🦋

you’re gonna be gagged by the visuals she put on this tour

T

Bro been recording for 2 hrs talking bout “slow down Beyonce” 🤣🤣

T

Speaking of ringing bells…I like how on YaYa she goes from “yaya yaya yaya yaya…put your lips (👄) on my lips (😸) and strum me like a guitar …lala lala lala lala” you know cuz when you go lala your tongue…👀

Tosha Renee'

NOW LISTEN TO "AMEN" & "I'M THAT GIRL" RIGHT NOOOOOOOOW 😭

Victoriabxnd

Or react to his own reaction 🤣🤣🤣 he would be dying at some of the things he said without knowing

Sarah

II Most Wanted always makes me cry, but it makes me think of my best friends, my ride or dies.

Victoriabxnd

The end of the album sounds like Renaissance because the albums were supposed to be the other way round and popular belief is it’s transitioning into the next album (also hence the random beep sounds throughout and right at the end)!!

Miranda Cook

Beyonce features you should go back and check out once you’re done with Cowboy Carter. There are others but these are off the top of my head. I’m sure others can add. J Balvin - Me Genti (remix) (heard partially during Beychella) Ed Sheeran - Perfect Duet Eminem - Walk on Water Alicia Keys - Put it in a love song Coldplay - Hymn for the weekend Megan the Stallion - Savage (Remix) (Partly heard during Renaissance concert) Jayz - 03’ Bonnie & Clyde Nicki Minaj - Feeling myself (partly heard during on the run tour)

Carys2468

Can you do a Michael Jackson deep dive now??

Taylor Hardy

I have watched every Beyonce reaction you have done and have loved seeing you latch on to her in the way so many have! She's truly in a league of her own. I can't wait to see the future reactions! Keep up the good work, and thank you for being open and honest!

T

Back outside! I’m on the rooooad!

Sarah

Linda Martell is widely recognized as the first successful Black woman in country music in the modern US, and the very first Black woman to play the Grand Ole Opry. Her first country album was widely successful, but when she went on tour (with white male country artists, no less) she received so much taunting by the white audiences, shouting racial slurs, walking out of the concerts, throwing a tantrum essentially that they didn’t realize from the radio that she was a woman of color. Beyoncé also wore Linda Martell merch during the Cowboy Carter era, paying homage to the legend who re-opened the door in country music for Black women. Spaghettii was Linda’s first Grammy nomination ❤️

Miranda Cook

Not many others had as long or consistent career as Beyonce. The majority of his content is anime and I’m not into anime but I don’t go on those videos and complain. I respect it’s his channel to run how he wants and explore things he enjoys. Hip hop is on Wednesday so those artists would be then anyways. Just watch the videos you want and leave the rest alone.

Steven Clemons

You always make the mistake of coming to Beyonce without tissues. One day you will learn lol.

Tiffine Love

Well she has a song with Destiny's child. Bootylicious that borrowed the guitar riff from Stevie Nicks edge of 17. Stevie even has a cameo in the video.

T

You should watch the Verizon Super Bowl Commercial …that how she announced Act ii singles!!

Sarah

The reason she spells out “Beyince” in Ya Ya is because it’s her mother’s family’s original surname. When Tina’s birth certificate was created it had a typo- misspelling it Beyonce. When Tina’s mother, Beyoncé’s grandmother, asked to have it corrected, they told her she was lucky to get a birth certificate at all, reminding her of the not too distant past when Black persons didn’t get birth certificates at all. The original vinyl pressing of Cowboy Carter has “Beyince” as the title of the album, leading many to speculate that it was the original name of the album before the order was reworked putting Renaissance first.

HKAMILAH

We’re from the UK sir, how don’t you know about Blackbird? Haha, shoutout to The Beatles. I knew Protector would get you, such a beautiful song. The opera in Daughter stays sending shivers down my spine every time I hear it. Miley has such a rich tone, so gorgeous. Yes, I couldn’t quite put it into words, it does feel like at certain points Bey went into a Church and just sang. I hit the lasso move every time she says ‘giddy up’ on Tyrant. My favourites are Bodyguard, II Hands to Heaven and II Most Wanted. It’s been so beautiful being part of this journey with you.

Sarah

I can’t wait for you to see Ya Ya live from the tour! And Daughter! Ahhh this album is sooo good. Every song you get to I’m like ooh yes my favorite! Then the next one and the next one and the next!

Sarah

Telephone - Lady Gaga (and the music video) (the “to be continued” haunts me to this day)

Tanesha S

I’m not sure if it’s already been mentioned, but CC was suppose to be released before Renaissance, which is why the end of CC sounds like it could flow into Renaissance. I personally think the end of CC sounds like flying off in a spaceship, which then kicks off “I’m that girl” “Alien superstar” etc. try listening to CC, then have “I’m that girl” loaded up to play immediately afterward. Most people feel like it also just loops back to “American Requiiem”…either work. Cause she THAT GIRL 🤷🏾‍♀️

Sarah

Check the view counts and comments, you’re in the minority girl. Let us enjoy our videos and you enjoy yours! Luke is generous to all fandoms!

Adena Rice

If you want to do any music follow up, I'm pretty sure there's only one remix off of this album- the texas hold 'em pony up remix. It's featured in both performances you might watch from this era (beyonce bowl & tour)

Sarah

Go get that hat. Screw the spider 🤣

Tiffine Love

You got it. Sweet honey buckin is 3 different songs that's why they are separated by the star

HKAMILAH

Would love this please. You’ll see so many similarities between B and MJ. He’s one of her inspirations 🤍

HKAMILAH

Can’t confirm, went to 2 London dates for Renaissance and most of the time people were just boring

Ivannia Contreras

So bitter for what? If you don't like it then go away, duhhh

HKAMILAH

Would love for you to watch this movie Luke

Jason LeMar

Just hearing how you imagine Ya Ya... just wait until you check out the Cowboy Carter concert clips. All you've imagined and more.

Kayla Keys

Tyrant is gonna hurt you during the tour! Can’t wait! 😂

Angela Ramirez

Again you’re so spot on at the end about the end of Cowboy Carter. Cowboy Carter was technically act 1 that was supposed to transition to Renaissance. Started with the classic tradition sound of country (western esque, stripped down), then it’s more produced with pop elements but still country (modern day country that we hear now with modern pop artists), then towards the end it’s very very genre mixed. And you are correct, she’s trying to showcase the VARIOUS types of ways to create music that can have country elements. It does not have to be the adopted white country music that society claims it is supposed to sound like. Country music was created by Black Africans due to the African slave trade to cope with slavery and it evolved over the decades. It evolved to blues, jazz, soul during Jim Crow, it evolved to rock, and then eventually rap/hiphop (80-90’s police brutality). They all have a common theme - which is an outlet to deal with hardship, having a voice and something to say. Basically, the creators of these popular genres and really anyone can make whatever music they want and create it however they want. There are no rules to music. But takers love to steal, reclaim, and keep what makes them uncomfortable out.

ʙʟᴜᴇ ☆

I remember opening night of the tour coming around last year and Ameriican Requiem being one of the songs I anticipated the most did not disappoint, from the choreography to Beyoncé's attitude and mannerisms while singing the song; her rally-esque approach of getting the point of the song across with her walking down the stage as the song built up ... it was exactly how I imagined

K

Ofc Bey would be the reason I purchased my first Patreon subscription😭😭

Orlando

Hey Luke, you really hit the jackpot with this album. It’s packed with layered messaging about the reclamation of country and Americana music, and there’s so much to unpack that it honestly requires multiple listens to fully catch all the cultural commentary woven throughout it. As for “Alligator Tears,” I interpret the song as reflecting Black Americans’ complicated relationship with the United States. It speaks to how Black Americans helped build this country through enslaved labor and were often forced into religions and systems that were never originally their own. Yet despite being treated as less than human throughout history, Black Americans have still continued to love this country and contribute to its growth and progress. At the same time, the song highlights America’s repeated failure to deliver on its promises of equality and justice. Instead, the country often responds with manipulation, performative sympathy, and empty gestures — essentially “alligator tears” — that keep people hoping for change while the cycle continues. So in many ways, the song is holding a mirror up to America and forcing it to confront those contradictions.

fry

i went to see her in new jersey for this tour in may and oh my god blown away and it also happened to be my first concert ever and i couldn’t have asked for a better one. lost it when she performed texas hold em pony up version cause that’s my song i was singing so loud 😭😭😭

fry

bless you luke honestly the way you understood a lot without having done a deep dive is amazing, i can’t count the amount of reactors who have dismissed songs like spaghetti, tyrant, daughter, sweet honey buckin etc because they think they weren’t country enough 🙄 like i loved that you immediately clocked it was a spaghetti western

fry

YES

Manstereon

For Cowboy Carter, she only released one remix, and that's TEXAS HOLD EM PONY UP REMIX: https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=rwieSVDhz04&pp=ygUbdGV4YXMgaG9sZCBlbSBwb255IHVwIHJlbWl4 For sure the Hive also wants you to react to the Cowboy Carter and the Rodeo Chitlin Circuit Tour. Sadly, she hasn't released that. BUT, there are tons of fan edits available on YT of the whole show. I will share with you the best I've watched so far: https://youtu.be/jqZ4_JJKnL0 In one of your reactions, you asked what happens on the stage when the BTS and docu clips roll out in the film. In the video of the tour I shared, you will see the entire production, which hopefully answers your question (PLUS SOME SURPRISE GUESTS). Beyonce is known for her top-notch visuals like mini-movies, and these visuals play in between acts of the show while she changes outfits. These mini-movies are so meticulously good that you wouldn't even miss her that much when she's off the stage haha.

Golden Witch Beatrice

No matter how many times I listen to this damn album “Amen” will always start making me sob

lyn Laugh247

Jolene didn’t listen & her arrogance got her in some mess.

Missbarribaby

The closest visual we get is the Beylloween Body Guard video but it’s not the whole song 😅

Charles Brown

Please don't react to any unofficial Cowboy Carter tour vids. Bey has a real plan and we need to experience that tour however she intends - when it is officially released 💯 Revisitng the Beyoncé Bowl will more than suffice!

lyn Laugh247

Cowboy Carter is about not accepting the box that others choose to force you into willingly. Her voice, talent, and passion like Michael Jackson’s did, extends her reach globally beyond genres, generations, and cultures.

kea

i’ve always said 2 hands 2 heaven is the most closely related to renaissance. it’s so virgo’s groove! and so dance for you too. i loved this reaction i hope you will watch the tour videos even though there’s no official film. you will love the tour visuals 💜

Neko

you def need to rewatch beyonce bowl and watch a unofficial cowboy Carter tour video!! its so worth it !!

Dee Bee

I think it would be dope if you revisited the Beyonce Bowl where she does the songs from Cowboy Carter! It was your first solo Beyonce reaction and I think you would appreciate it so much more now! Great reaction!! ❤️❤️

Tiffany Bota

In my opinion: Riiverdance is pretty much about the ebbs and flows of a relationship…it’s about good days, not so good days, makeup sex, emotions being all over the place, trying to get back on track after an argument, more makeup sex, remembering how things felt when you and your partner first met and you have the butterflies and all that. It’s all over the place because true love isn’t always predictable.

lyn Laugh247

Alligator Tears is about loving someone unconditionally who knows they can manipulate or influence you into doing almost anything.

lyn Laugh247

Just 4 Fun is about continuing forward through failure, loss, disappointment to the hope on the other side.

Katrina Albright

OMG Luke!! You gotta eventually deep dive Miley too

Eva

I love your reaction of this album because you just get it. Beyonce always said that this was never meant to be JUST a country album it was first and foremost a Beyonce album. The first song on this album is meant to mimic a sweepy country anthem. "Requiem" in this case referring to a musical tribute to a lost era. The Era of where country music originated which is in the south from black people; her ancestors. And how the sounds of bluegrass, blues, black christian revival music and african influences all informed what country music has become and not only that but where country music COULD be if not gate kept by certain type of people. Why the first song speaks on the fact that her family is rooted in the south and referencing her performance at the country music awards where she performed "Daddy lessons" with the dixie chicks and there was a lot of chatter during the performance and after about how she wasn't a country artist. Proving that there are alot of black country artists that exist but seldom rise to topping the country charts because their sound may be too "new school" (or...too black some might say) and or even if they go a more classic route in country music they aren't widely accepted. Why having someone like shaboozey on the album because of how mainstream he is while playing both sides of the coin and appealing to new and old country was a very intentional play. Also notice that on black bird; which was a song paul Mcartney wrote during the civil rights movement in america because a black women wrote to him about the black struggle and the fear for a feature...there are three artist featured on blackbird. 3 black female country artist, all with very different types of sounds as far as their personal music goes. Each artist gets their small moment, their voices crystal clear..spreading their wings and learning to fly. As a black women this rendition really brings tears to my eyes. Many don't know but Beyonce is actually fluent in Italian and is classically trained in opera. In daughter she sings a part of "Caro Mio Ben" which is a classic opera song and basically talks about a lover begging/pleading for them to believe the other person so it slips right into the song without you even knowing it, which is so brilliant. I could go on forever. I love Beyonce's body of work but this was by far my favorite album. Also she had several singles for this album. Texas Holdem and 21 carriages. II Most wanted and Levi's jeans were top #1 and 2 on the country music charts for weeks after release. People were definitely upset about the album, alot of people hated it...said it wasn't country enough but Beyonce made a post about this album when it came out and basically said that this album was always going to represent what country music as a genre could be like if more black people could flourish along side the rest and not be ostracized for bringing their culture to country music. If you watch some of her old interviews when she was a teenager coming up and being famous she had a thicker southern accent but literally the tabloids would make fun of her and say she sounded too country and called her uneducated then she becomes a bit more proper..gets her diction on point..removes some of the harsher edges and now she's not country enough even though those are her ROOTS. and so this album was born. Ok I'm done.

React to the cowboy Carter tour live in Las Vegas night 2 or the live cumulation you’re in for a treat! She went all out!!!

Sarah

Literally I first followed Luke during his Taylor journey and must have commented 10x about Beyoncé during that and I am so thrilled we are here now!!!

Alligator Tears is definitely one of my favorites from the album as it is a very layered song, even the title. Everyone has their own interpretation, but to me it very much speaks to the relationship between Black Americans and America in general. Starting with the title, the standard phrase people use is ‘Crocodile Tears’ which means a false, insincere display of emotion…instead of crocodile, Bey uses alligators which are native to America. This wordplay to me alludes to America’s constant attempt to gloss over and whitewash the plight of the AA community for over centuries. We were stolen and brought here where we were stripped of our culture, religion and everything that made up our identities. We’ve been here for over 400 years, before America was America. And even though, we’re constantly bombarded with the reality that racism and discrimination and everything that falls under that umbrella is still very much alive and thriving today, we still get up, ‘throw on our boots’ and lend our bodies to work for the continued progress and growth of this country, because at the end of the day, it’s home and our roots run through its very foundation.

brieva627

Cowboy Carter is a masterpiece. Full stop.

Nope

And he thinks we’re leaving 😂. Like sir this is a weekly meeting of Hive. It’s bigger than you now. It’s a meeting place. We get to hang out with someone who loves her like we do. This is our manifested dream tbh. I can’t wait for re listens. A Renny night?! His favs?! Our favs. This is my favorite weekly hangout with my besties. I love it here sm

Nope

My kids will turn this on in the car to laugh at how quickly I cry. They’re the absolute worst 😂

Nope

Miranda Cook

I didn’t include that one since he already watched the music video.

Roro

Nooope disagree tomato tomato

Rodrigo

CC was supposed to be the first album of the trilogy, so I think the last songs of the album are a kind of hint of what should be coming, with the “weird” song structures and transitions being Renaissance coded

Tshegofaco Hope

If you want a small teaser into the visuals, you can check The I’m that girl teaser on Youtube.

Tshegofaco Hope

As well as the Act ii: Cowboy Carter promo

Otis Sims

She released Texas Hold’em & 16 Carriages at the same time after her Verizon SuperBowl commercial aired on television. You have to react to that too😁

AlexanderFortunaPhotography

i went to the cowboy carter tour in NY night 1, May 22nd... I WAS SO MESMERIZE ABOUT EVERYTHING. it was my 1st Beyonce concert and i just cried my eyes out. She does a live show like no one. I am so prepared for actiii and the tour!

CHÉN

AMEN then I'm That Girl. !!!!

Otis Sims

Beyoncé gives no notices, no promos… just surprises. It’s been that way since her self titled album.

Ashley Smoot

Oh it definitely go push back — there was one racist country singer that called her dog that goes around pissing on diff genres

Ashley Smoot

I actually don’t think Just for Fun is about racism. Going down south for black people can mean visiting family. The South is our orgins. I think he’s just going through something in the song.

Gabe

She did the genre like how they used to, how they are doing it now, and then she did it how BEYONCÉ would do it. Truly one of one 🫡

Teriagotemhookd

Luke you stressed me out so bad with the stopping during the good vocals lol I'm glad you liked the album lol

Carlos Alberto

Watch the live for drunk in love in grammys

Torri

You MUST watch this fan film of the Cowboy Carter Tour. Multiple angles, from multiple shows AND it shows the visuals she played on the screens during the shows. https://youtu.be/abTBSkJHCos?si=mO4DU22jLJktUwYb The visuals she played during the shows at her concert is probably the closest we'll get to visuals haha

Torri

So Crocodile Tears is a term that refers to someone that just cries (usually fake crying) to get whatever they want. Alligators are more common in North America though, so "Alligator Tears"

Torri

21:30 There was a news anchor that compared her to a dog when she released Cowboy Carter smh!

K

And if I might add Stevie just had her first ever Met Gala appearance 😏 which Bey also attended- its looking alot like how her and Miley interacted at the Grammys right before this album came out

K

My rose is about her son Sir- they all have their own songs that she has dedicated to them

K

Body guard actually got a mini video its on her youtube under “Beywatch” she released it during election season here in 2024 to get ppl to vote😭😭😭

Ruben

Right??? I wished people knew bout his reactions more ! We need to get momma Tina to post a little clip of his reactions on her insta 🤣

K

YES

K

Flamenco is pronounced (Fla mean co) 🤣

Senè

None of us knows what's next she keeps us on our toes and drops clues and then completely surprises us ......you better follow her and be ready .....you should do a live stream reaction by far the best fan made video for cowboy carter tour: https://youtu.be/abTBSkJHCos?si=R3IrwJfsezEMYJMB

david nolan

i think alligator tears is about the the abusive relationship between america and black people and "alligator tears" represents performative "white tears" used to dodge accountability or express false victimization.

K

RIIVERDANCE STANS WHERE YOU AT?!!! Also my interruption of the song is a love story of two ppl who know they are not good for each other but are madly in love especially with the way she speaks about how she wrote down things from the day they met!

K

Sooo this is my last comment!! But there is a theory that there are three “Honey” songs across all three acts that at the end will make one full song- I also love how at the end of amen it sounds like an abduction which would have lead into RENAISSANCE since CC was supposed to be first

Helena

I second that❤️ such a great tour.

Nope

Yess! I think every hive should watch him. And I think Bey would love to see our actual reactions to her music. The way he went in a small trance during Daughter’s operatic part. Bey needs to see that 😭

Shad MadRad

Idk if you have done this or not but you should react to the cowboy carter tour live on here

Zari

You are hands-down my favorite Beyoncé reactor because even if you don’t catch all the historical and cultural references, you still get it! Your openness and willingness to learn is so refreshing. She is absolutely an enigma and it’s what makes her so compelling to watch. Beyoncé is the last of a dying breed of musical artist. Thanks for helping us fill the time while we anxiously wait for Act III. 🐝

Dominique P.

On the CD of CC My Rose is called My Sir as in her son Sir. It makes sense after the song w Rumi!

RC

I am SOOOOO impressed that Luke immediately got the callback of Tyrant to Jolene — and the hangman being the woman that steals the men of town. Like wowwww: ON FIRST LISTEN! I needed a few listens and analyses before I got it

Latya Wilkins

Fun fact: Cowboy Carter was supposed to be Act I and Renaissance was Act II originally. But she said she felt during the time that everyone needed to dance so she switched them. So that makes sense that some of the songs on Cowboy Carter sound like they could fit on Renaissance too

rere

What makes me love you so much as a reactor is that you really do break down the music accurately. Stop doubting yourself 👏🏽

Joslen Owmby

Destiny’s Child is worth the journey.

Queane Duarte

Subtitles, portuguese Brasil (please)!!!

Queane Duarte

Spaghetti have brazilian funk samples.

Ariana Meyer

Genres are a funny little concept…aren’t they?

JB

Exactly 😆

Mia Speakz

Luke please stop you look good. Your hair is fine. Now listen to Osees Frank. And do the concert

Nope

The awe, sadness, panic then immediate reach for her at the end is exactly how we feel. The realization that we have no idea where she’s going next. Or when. We don’t even know where we are or what we listened to. I’ve heard this album a million times and I have no what happened this time either. It’s…it’s just… *insert “You know what mean?” In my Luke voice*. Because eggzackly 🙂‍↕️

Miss Liss

My interpretation of Riverdance is running through the river of life with a long time partner. Navigating the highs and lows of your relationship and of life together. In a 20 year relationship even with the best intentions partners cause each other pain. I think it’s about the grief of what you thought romantic relationships were as you understand how to grow with someone if you decide to keep choosing to commit to one another without the rose colored glasses. That’s the feel that I get from it. ❤️💕

Ashley Smoot

The back of the album does fade into the future. Riiverdance incorporates dance. 2 Hands, blends into R&B. Tyrant, Hip Hop. Etc etc

Ashley Smoot

I wonder if you’ve listened to traditional R&B much - very much normalized romance.

Ashley Smoot

You’re the only person that has figured out Tyrant/hangman on the first listen

Ashley Smoot

Luke —— you’re always making sense buddy

Corey Draw

Yes I cried when I first heard this the entire time

Nova Alpough

I cried hard the first 5 songs… Bodyguard is my favorite song on the whole album. Speaking of Bodyguard, that song is the only visual we got from Cowboy Carter and it’s not even the full song 😭. Ya Ya is a second fav of mine. My interpretation of Ya Ya is that she’s speaking on the hard times that people have experienced (“wild fires burnt the house down…) how people slave away at their jobs but aren’t making enough money to live (“working time and a half for half the pay”) but in the midst of the chaos and hard times we still gotta let loose and have a good time. Being able to find joy when there isn’t much to be joyful about. Cowboy Carter will forever be one of Beyoncé’s best work artistically. This album definitely showed how versatile she is with her creativity, knowledge of music history, and it shows how much she’s grown vocally. Annnd it won album of the year, which it still bugs me when people say she didn’t deserve that.

Corey Draw

Funny enough riverdance, hands to heaven and tyrant are probably the most complex songs on the album terms of themes and lyrics with all of them having multiple meanings

Tanzi Mitchell

Ohh someone said to react to your own reaction of the halftime show. I think that would be cute since you've learned so much more about her music since then. And Blu was in it and I don't think you even noticed at the time.

Breana Blue

Just wait until you see her in person. You’ll never look at a concert the same

Bella Raye Maven

Back in 2001 Destiny Child sampled the iconic guitar riff from Stevie Nicks' 1981 hit "Edge of Seventeen" for their song "Bootylicious"! I smell a new feature for ACT III. 😏🎸👑🐝💛

Bella Raye Maven

You're so clever and in tuned with your descriptive Beyonce reactions, Luke! When you mentioned Stevie Nicks I just giggled. 🤭 Back in 2001 Destiny Child sampled the iconic guitar riff from Stevie Nicks' 1981 hit "Edge of Seventeen" for their song "Bootylicious"! I smell a new feature coming for ACT III. 😏🎸👑🐝💛🤞🏽

Cherisse Fletcher

The beehive is thinking the album will come out May 29th. The other 2 acts have come out on the 29th and both times it fell on a Friday. May 29 is the only 29th day that lands on a Friday in 2026 so our fingers are crossed. Keep an eye out for her social media post. The lady is sneaky... but we love it 🙃

Colby Lowe

She recorded over 100 songs for Cowboy Carter ♥️ she’s insane and we love it 😍 also look up the history of the BEYINCE that she spells out in Ya Ya. There’s so much involved with this album. Cultural pillar.

Saimmyboi

So excited to see the Cowboy Carter tour reaction 😩

LimitedX

You gotta come to the realization by now that my sis is a big freak, she is nasty so don’t be surprised when she let her freak flag fly 😂😂

sile

If you're going to react to the Cowboy Carter Tour, here's probably the most complete fanmade film I’ve made. I included all the setlists and interludes that she had scrapped at some point during the tour and the guest appearances (Jay-Z, Miley, Destiny’s Child, Shaboozey), as well as the Houston incident. https://youtu.be/nWKaOK79YQg?si=0QmQ5mEAI59xWqZO

sile

“Ya Ya” is the opening song for Cowboy Carter, and American Requiem is for Beyincé

marcus

no this one is way 2 zoomed in to her he can see the stage nd lights which really elevates the performance

Saimmyboi

Please react to formation world tour PLEASE😩

Trina

https://www.tiktok.com/t/ZP8pD34cy/ This is what's in my head when I hear daughter. I wanted to make this while in Paris for the show but forgot and had to wait to get back to Europe to make it.

Queane Duarte

Hello, dear Luke! First of all, I'd like to congratulate you on your birthday, and say that it's not the end, because the Beyhive never sleeps. Mrs. Carter loves to surprise us, like releasing things in the middle of the night and things like that, and breaking the internet with her titanium mind, our alien star. For now, there's still plenty of material for you to react to, and we'll continue supporting you here. I'd really like to request a very special and celestial event, and I believe you'll like it and be very moved.
