JUST IN TIME FOR PEAK

Airtiger

Legendary refresh pull

Alejandro Barajas

Nah, this OST was praised a lot when this aired! It's on my top 10 anime OSTs, close to Kevin Penkin, Kensuke Ushio and Evan Call works.

Airtiger

3:55 My all time favorite OST of basically any anime

Airtiger

I think that this OST is AMAZING. It is literally one of my favorites in all of anime. It is such a big contributor to all of the emotions that we feel in this anime. I used to listen to the OST so much when I was younger and first watched this anime. Even after all of these years and having it replayed so much, they still move me the same way. The song at 3:55 is my favorite OST in basically all of anime

Leonardo Postacchini

The sound track is fantastic Luke. But then again, is a music anime. It has to have a good sound track. ;-)

Zensari

The reason no one mentions the soundtrack is because it's hurt us enough already.

Airtiger

23:38 I like how here they let the confession play out instead of having that cliche of say Watari pop in and say "Hey guys! What are you doing?"

Cirqque

The soundtracknis absolutelt beautiful, and is a big part of what got me into listening to soundtracks outside of the anime itself.

Krawbs

This is the half way point of this 22 episode anime.

Mar242

The ost is definitely top 5....also makes for a good rewatch binge. You'll see all kinds of new things, and conversations will hit differently.

Takeo

Can you not put spoilers in the title? I don't always watch episodes as they come out, so if I see the titles in my email notifications it can spoil things. You don't need custom titles on patreon at all anyways. Just put the episode number, please.

Yuji

just do it haha, watch the entire series in a stream, id love that

Rem is best waifu

Yeah I am pretty sure I have said how much the soundtrack and music adds to the emotions bbefore. It is a beautiful anime all around.

Phoenix_mercury

You can only spoil things if you *know* the thing, asking a question(is she dying) isn't a spoiler, he's questioning if something is happening 🤷

Takeo

I mean it's still spoiling the fact that she might be dying.

rikenad

I used to listen to this soundtrack allllllll the time During college, I would play the YouTube video “Most Beautiful & Emotional Shigatsu wa Kimi no Uso OST IMO” (still image, YLiA instrumental soundtrack merged all together) while I studied, walked around campus… constantly. I loved it; I love it now; it melts my heart anytime I listen to it. 🥹💕

Jessica

Yupppppp i actively avoid the soundtrack unless i feel a certain way and want to reexperience the pain. Edit: 22:05 holy shit that ost made me want to cry the memoriesssss

Jessica

Yessssss i would listen to that exact video as well

Lucie

Sleeping with those soundtracks under my pillow a lot of times, they’re masterpieces ✨

KeanuofRivia

Its a legitimate complaint to be fair. Luke might have been in the feels a little too much to think about it tho. But yeah kinda need to remember that some people are experiancing the series for the first time right alongside Luke

LKCynric

Replaying to your OST comment, I love it and were lot alone. There's several compilations on youtube, one has 10m views the other 8.5 and others smaller numbers. Highly recommend them if you're looking to relax a bit. they are great.

Saiful Saiful

Yup the ost is really awesome,I love it and I always listen to it , I think most people don't like it because most of it is beautifully painful to listen too it's reminding them on something that they had forgotten and leave behind , but I really love the ost and the story

ORORA06

No you aren't alone, the ost is amazing my favorites being "Again" and "Uso to Honto". Highly suggest a reaction to them or just a listen.

Yogesh Mehta

The fact that they play that particular OST all the time throughout the show but it still hits so hard during the emotional parts is a testament to how incredible it is

TalesoftheBoojum

Denial is just the first stage of grief. You'll hit the other four before we're done here.

Airtiger

I listened to that same video too!

Tysado

I have a few of the songs saved on my Spotify and they’ll pop on randomly and oh boy do I get nostalgic and sometimes emotional if it catches me at the right time haha and I first watched this series 10 years ago. Buckle up!

Covthly

I watched this show like 10 years ago and loved this particular OST that plays every episode, but over time completely forgot about it. When in episode 3 it played for the first time, I remembered after just the first note and now i have it in my playlist again. Since then I always anticipate, when it drops in almost every episode and I’m crying every time. Its just that damn beautiful. Thank you for reacting to this!

Phoenix_mercury

It's a question and a legitimate one that didn't come out of nowhere considering what we've already been shown, we already knew something was wrong

Phoenix_mercury

A lotta people likely started genuinely questioning it at this point, he's just using his question as a title🤷 it's not like it's something that came out of nowhere, like if the first ep there was hints of her being unwell the title had been "is she sick" then sure because it hadn't been shown yet whereas by now it's obvious something is wrong

Takeo

As I said, I don't always watch the episodes as he releases them. I like to binge watch, so it does come out of nowhere for me and others like me.

Earl Preston

I shouldnt say what im thinking now about kaori after watching your lie in april again for just the second time years later. i actually have a different perspective now. thematically that is. especially with Luke just admitting where they are telegraphing the apparent direction of the show. but this still was hard to pick up again. but theres a different twist with hindsight to it the second time. no less powerful though.

Zensari

So we were the ones bumping the views on that video

Chris

I don't usually comment on stuff. I don't know about the anime scene these days, but Your Lie in April used to be regarded for it's OST, similarly to shows like Clannad, Angel Beats and AnoHana. Even Plastic Memories, which weren't that big at the time. So even if people aren't commenting about it, at the time it came out, people were absolutely loving it <3

jdoggivjc

It's very easy to be dishonest with yourself while watching this anime, considering the pain that Kousei has experienced growing up and he's finally found inspiration and happiness with Kaori... but we've all seen the amount of pills she takes. Combine that with her "devil may care" optimistic attiude around Kousei... but followed up with the exact opposite in pessimism when she mutters under her breath... yeah.

Jefocht

IMO, "K" has probably the best anime soundtrack. It's just absolutely gorgeous.

Daniel iacomi

I listened to your lie in April 1 hour soundtrack for 10 years regularly. (Once every week) The osts are goated. Not so many people talk because of the feelings it evoked to those who watched it while airing.

SinzPet

fuck this damn show man, always makin me cry

Kosumi

10:35 WAY late to the party but, even after watching this anime 3 or 4 times, every OST fills me with emotions and more often than not I tear up. In fact, it took a few years after my first viewing that I could finally not tear up at the opening song.

Kenneth Hoerz

Ok! You got me there. That last OST with the confession was on a next level. All of the other backing music added so many layers to what was going on in each instance, but the one that have a blunt clear direction like that one hit that much harder.
