Kungor

Kinda hard to hear you in this reaction, you using a new mic setup or something? Edit: nvm my volume got put super low for some reason lmao. But your mic audio does sound different, little more echoey. Edit again: You addressed it lmfao.

Elena Demetriou

Luke I don’t know if you noticed but there’s a section of the video where the episode disappeared and we can’t see it

Matthias

Happens multiple times in his videos xd

Maks Lesniewski

There's actually a very simple reason why Bakugo chose Best Jeanist's agency for his internship - Best Jeanist is the Number 4 Hero in Japan at this point, and he was the highest rated Pro Hero who sent him an internship offer. So, of course, Bakugo, caring about becoming a famous Hero wanted to intern with the best Pro Hero he had available.

Zen Reacts

Luke Grand Torino TOLD Deku to stay on the train and he disobeyed directly rersulting in injuries. THATS why hes getting penalized cause hes directly responsible for supervising Deku

ShinHyoujin

Police Chief in this episode is often thought to pay homage to McGruff The Crime Dog.

Maks Lesniewski

Also, it's probably not who you think it was, but Giran (the guy you said sounds familiar) is voiced by the same VA who voiced Grisha's dad in Attack on Titan.

Notora

yes it's a dog luke. don't be racist xD (also now that you know about All for One you probably realize how important it is to not mix them up lmao)

Zen Reacts

Youre misinterpreting Stain, he doesnt WANT to die he's saying the only hero he'll allow to kill him is All Might

Zen Reacts

I mean Jeanist directly calls this out when Bakugo first gets there

Vicente Machuca

for what i've seen, in mha world if you don't have a hero licence, you can't save your own live with your powers, which is dumb, but okay, that sound like what would happen irl if suddently people started developing powers.

EACB

I hadn’t realized it was Bakugo’s voice actor narrating the Stain video. Sounds a lot like his Himmel voice.

Shuckleknuckles

An easy way to remember the names that i use is One for all = One for all people aka a hero and All for one = All for one person aka a villain taking from everyone for yourself, hope it helps someone.

Kino M.P

This is some bullsh^t claims. They acted well within reason. Aside Iida. Plus they have no gear to give informations to the higher ups. This is not their oversight but the structure as a whole. Sure, they might have overstepped their rank a bit by acting out alone, but 1. Midoriya was alone. 2. Fire&ice boy did give a higher up a heads up. 3. They might not be heroes yet but they are their provisional heroes per say. They had to get a permit to do this. Which also means they have some kind of freedom to exercise it. This is the type of corrupt police talk. "oh your leg slipped into a road, therefore you jaywalked, you are going to jail mister". I understand if Iida alone was excluded from earning a thropy, but all of them is a straight up crashout. This would not fly under our own laws right now, and the heroes are supposed to have more legitimized existence here.

Edu S.

Just to specify: It happened at minute 3:53 - 4:49

Moshi

Would be great if we could see the police dog 👍

Moshi

Here in the west we have laws that basically say these kids would be exempt from guilt because they were acting to save someone else's life, when rhere was no better legal alternative and with reasonable care, however, they live in Japan, so...

Ben Stephenson

I don't think this counts as a spoiler? Since knowing doesn't spoil any sort of reveal or anything like that. Concerning you saying Shigaraki can turn his quirk on/off, it's more that it activates whenever he has all his fingers touching something. If you pay attention throughout the show, he's always awkwardly holding things to make sure all his fingers aren't touching at the same time.

Sian Richardson

Yeah that reasoning makes sense in the early seasons but not so much in the later seasons. IYKYK.

RandomTitanGuy

The claims make sense, Yes they are provisional heroes but there are still rules when it comes to provisional licenses. None of the 3 of them had permission to engage someone in combat. Iida ran off without saying anything, Deku was explicitly told to remain on the train (which wasn't in active danger) and Shoto said he needs to help a friend and left. Yes what they did was good I'm not saying it wasn't but that's like saying a 10 year old can drive someone to the hospital in am emergency. They are adding risks to situations because they aren't fully trained to be in these situatons.

Sian Richardson

Yeah... Constable Woof made it sound like it was to save the kids' future careers, but really it was more like an admission that their rules and laws suck and they don't want to deal with the fall out of the public realising that.

Sian Richardson

if you want to see more of heroes like Ingenium (the other brother) as well as the vigilante side, you really should watch MHA: Vigilantes. It really helps expand on some areas that get left underdeveloped in MHA (particularly in the later seasons).

Warren

Gran Terino got his licence suspended because Deku ran off and was fighting Stain under his care He is allowed to fight but Deku cant without him supervising, His negligence is reason for the punishment also means the same thing happened to manual for Ida

Joshua Vaughn

Im sure youbalready have this planned out but the movies are Canon to the story and they spots where they fit in between episodes and seasons.

Amdallah

you can use your quirk to save your life its like having a gun and if someone brakes into your home and you shot him you will have an ongoing investigation to see if it really was necessary to use it or if there was another option in this case all of them went on their own without a pro hero which is the problem ida went without notifying his supervisior shoto shouldn't have gone on his own and endevor should have not let him go on his own and deku should't have disobeyed gran torino and if he did he should have atleast notified the heros he met before he ran off to find ida

Malik Ford

lol his nipple over there

Caleb_XIII

welp, hope we get the full version of this episode :3

_____ Rasse _____

Why does that happen? He's the only reactor I know with this issue.

Canelas

That bit with the police serves to show Deku, Lida and Todoroki as real heroes who want to save people and not for fame or money. Not like the heroes that Stain despises

darkchaos125

3:49 Just think of Boku no Hero Academia world as this...there are people with quirks but there are some who basically are "Demi-Humans" or beastial in nature like Beast and Nightcrawler and Saber in X-Men. 7:38 It's not just that Luke....if the police and the world of law does not punish the kids for breaking the rules, then it means no one will ever face responsibility or face punishment for breaking the rules, it would just enable people to become vigilantes with utter disregard for proper rules and regulations. Like the dog said "So you're saying as long as everything turns out alright, we should just turn a blind eye to all rule breaking?" This will become an extremely dangerous slippery slope that all rules can be ignored because "a hero was just trying to save someone". Define "save" when we have to look at things case by case. Not everything is so black and white unfortunately, and that's what you seem to understand...that this show takes things on a more realistic level than 90% of the anime out there. 15:20 It shouldn't be a surprise to you that most of the info for All Might and Deku's Profile cards are 80% similar. There are some different info such as their likes/dislikes, but the top half has to do with their hero/quirk powers, so they are identical quirks. Their likes/dislikes are different, and can be seen at the bottom of the Profile info/Screen. 19:45 This was explained a couple times by All Might and I believe I understand what you're getting at. There's a difference between "Who/How many people know about All Might's true form" and "Who/How many people know about All Might's Quirk?" because those are two completely different things. All you need to know is this: A) Principal + Teachers at school, know about his True Form, not the name or finer details about his Quirk such as the fact is is transferrable and it was transferred to him B) Extremely few friends of All Might's, know about his Quirk (and true form). C) To clarify your last remark, no, people in both public and the staff at school, generally do not know about his injuries except for a few who belong to either A or B category mentioned above, but you'll find out later. 34:50 I'm gonna assume you heard of the phrase "All for one, and One for All!" It means the entire group (All) comes for one person or purpose, and one person fights for all. In the case of Hero Academia "All for One" is about a villain who wants Society/the World (All) to fight/serve him (One). All Might is "One for All", one hero who fights for society/the world (All) All shall kneel and be subjugated for the One Villain One Hero who fights and bleeds for All Humanity. 28:45 The evil "genius" behind Leage of Villains knew about how radical Stain's views are in modern society. He knows there will be people who will think and be influenced by Stain. He knew it was a matter of "when", not "if", when Stain would be put down or captured. This means there will be those who want to belong to a group and the reason why they're joining League of Villains is because partially there's "underground rumors" about the League of Villains, and partially because the League is low-key advertising for people to join them, though these invitations have been more like private referrals, not invitations. 30:00 Very correct. Its not a matter of forming a group, but having "structure" and "leadership". It was spoken to Shigaraki by the man in the TV in a previous episode that he was to "tell the world" and "show the world" that "he is here" like All Might. 31:25 To answer your question, these student interns were only interning for the week and the Hosu Incident was basically at the cusp of the end of their internship period, save by maybe 1 or 2 days

CdrCain

As for quirks being authorized, this might be more of a US example, but its like having a gun license. Untrained or unlicensed people can cause serious harm/death if you use a gun improperly. Thats how this universe sees quirks that can cause harm. What the 3 of them did is basically this universes' equivalent of being underaged, unlicensed, and illegally discharging firearms to try and stop a criminal. Imagine that happening in our world. Thats how serious what they did is. It may have "worked out" like the Chief said but they legally can't let it slide if it goes public because they'd be setting a legal precedent that its ok to be underaged, use guns, and shoot at criminals without a license. If they don't punish them, they are basically allowing kid's being unsupervised with guns to be ok and that is a very bad precedent to set. That being said, I fully support them in the choices they made here (well, not necessarily Iida's) but I also very much understand the legal position it put the Chief in and why the rules exist in the first place

Rainet

IMO, there should absolutely be exceptions to the laws against power usage for self-defense, PARTICULARLY for minors (and heroes in training, at that). But I also think that might be more of an American/Western mindset about the law and individual agency, where the way the show handles it might be a much more common Japanese mentality on the role of the law.

Rainet

I would guess it’s just that this is unedited and he took the show off the screen while talking to the camera and forgot to turn it back on until he after he paused to talk to the camera again.

Elena Demetriou

(Spoilers for Luke) You are both wrong because they don’t have their provisional hero licences yet. So no they aren’t provisional heroes. If they had their provisional licenses then they probably wouldn’t have gotten in trouble. Like how in later seasons, when they have their provisional hero licences, they beat up lots of villains without consequences

Awsmspaceball

The story is slowly getting unveiled and world building expanded. Now we're really starting to get to the meat of the anime

Rem is best waifu

Seen the girl with the cutest smile in the world ❤️

Richard Wheeler

Hey Luke! Here's an easy way to remember which quirk is Deku/All Might's: One For All is one quirk to be used for all, which is to help society as a hero. All For One make sense even with your limited knowledge of the person giving the nomus multiple quirks, but I won't expound on it for spoilers

LemonSaucyPants

All for one = greedy = bad guy one for all = sharing and generous = good guy

みるてん

That's why we dont want you confuse between One for all and All for one before😂

MASTER VOS

i have the same ringtone as almight. everyone loves it

Huro

Not only did all might get severely injured against All for One, but the same happened to All for One. All might said that he doesnt want to believe that All for One survived the injury he made him. So yeah, All for One is really strong, but you could say that they had a draw there since they both injured themselves severely. Unless All for One killed All might predecesor and injured him in the same fight 1v2. In that case, he's a monster. But we dont know that yet, we'll see if they talk more about it from now on. Just wanted to confirm you understood that, since in the episode seems like you only notice All might's injury and not him saying he injured All for One back.

Robert Pierce

It's irrelevant that Iida showing up saved Native, because he had no idea of that and was exclusively acting out in violence. He didn't even realize Native was even there until AFTER he attacked Stain. You are not in the clear to track down and shoot a guy you know hurt someone just because he's a bad guy, that's still just attempted murder. Once you're there you can use force to defend yourself and others, but that wasn't until AFTER he had already committed to a crime. That's why the cops and pros went through the roundabout way of OK'ing it retrospectively. They basically did the direct equivalent of if a police department edited the books and deleted the body cam footage then said they had totally definitely deputized the concerned armed citizen to perform an official police duty, and they just happened to run into the guy then had to defend themselves. Hopefully I don't need to lay out why that sort of behavior is EXTREMELY concerning, hence why they stress to the kids that they're only getting away with this since everything so heavily lends them moral standing as minors. Because if this situation played out with actual adults or Stain was anything less than a serial killer, the kids should basically be talking to a lawyer about if they'd face jail time. Forgiving the kids is fine. But you can't pretend they (particularly Iida) weren't doing something pretty terrible. Excusing it is like Halsey defending the Spartan program because it saved humanity - true, but not actually what's in question.

Kyle Garrett

One of the most confusing things about this series is naming a villain All For One, but then naming the hero's quirk One For All. Like eventually you get used to it and understand it, but they absolutely could have had a less confusing name for the villain. Best way to remember it is Deku has ONE quirk that can be passed to anyone (ALL people) so his quirk is One For All.

Kanna kamui

day 23 of asking for double reactions 🥲

dartcp

The dog police officer can't be a character from JoJo, because then he'd be dead—since he's a dog. ^^

Marcel Hanke

So you Luke think that... :D

Marcel Hanke

But more importanly BEST GIRL is here <3

DRACO

To make it easy between All For One (AFO) and One For All (OFA) name is that "AFO" rhymes with "Awful" which means the Bad Guy quirk.

Loki

what you are saying is with information from our perspective... police didn't know his motives, how and why he handled the situation the way he did, "he had no idea native was there" the police doesn't know that, what if he entered the alley and saw stain attacking a fellow hero and intervened? how could they know?

Lucas Prestes

Now I can safely say say your early reactions to MHA were really funny because you kept calling one for all all for one without realizing the irony

Lucas Prestes

Yeah but by then he’ll have it memorized

Hender

You’re going to end up hardcore cheering for Endeavor😂

виина

Maybe it will be easier to just call them OLA and ALO

bryanPSX

happens all the time in various videos, i think it's a keyboard shortcut, i hate it

Iron_claw

And this lady's and gentleman is why when you pause a video you don't take the video your reacting to off screen. because shit like this happens and whenever you pause to talk about something that is happening on the screen but the audience can't see it and dosnt know what you're talking about. this is the mistake a rookie who just started making reaction videos would make not someone who's been doing this for years would make. Not to mention the horrible audio in the first half watching this video would make you think Luke has never made a reaction video before.

Iron_claw

23:43 you have got to stop mixing up one for all and all for one. one for all didn't hurt all might because one for all is all might and his power. All might has the power one for all and the villain with the power all for one hurt all might who has the power one for all. Please for the love of god stop mixing them up. Hear let me try and make it easier for you to understand Luke. 1. All might is good guy super hero who wants to help everyone and be there for everyone hence the name one for all his power is one to help everyone with. 2. The Villain who has the power all for one is greedy and wants all the power in the world for himself hence the name all for one. Get it got it good hopefully I wont have to explain this again to you over and over and over again in every mha reaction video cause its getting annoying having to correct you.

mealias

Are those real jellyfish behind you? 🤔

Phoenix_mercury

Yeah it's *technically* off as long as his fingers aren't all touching the same thing, but like a switch the moment all 5 are in contact with the same thing it "turns" on, other than himself

Phoenix_mercury

Uh no, they're not provisional hero's just doing intern ships

Phoenix_mercury

One note: about shigaraki being able to "turn off" decay, for him it's not about being able to turn it *off* it's about the requirements being met to activate it, the requirement is all 5 digits making contact with the same thing(image putting your hand on the wall or hand around a mug and all 5 fingers touch it) that activates it on that thing, the exception is himself
