Man if you want romance then Shonen action is a bad genre. I definitely recommend something like Horimiya, The Fragrant Flower Blooms With Dignity or Dangers in my Heart. Romantic Comedy is peak imo

I didn't finish the series, but this by far was one of my favorite episodes of the early seasons. Yaoyoruzu's power and potential is insane, and from the outset it should be obvious how she came in on recommendation. The fact that her confidence was shaken the one time she fought by herself and the showcasing of her giddiness at supporting others previously shows that she definitely has the mindset of a helpful hero, but her main weakness was a lack of self-confidence. She comes across as someone who is the opposite of Todoroki, someone who hesitates because of overthinking, and one who would self-relegate to being a support hero rather than taking the lead. Her stupid internship (I hate the snake lady with a passion) made it far worse, given she was not even able to work in a supportive role beyond... commercializing. Yuck. This also showcases how her weakness of overthinking becomes her strength though. Learning about materials and the chemical compounds of certain items, preparing said materials, and then wielding them in battle is her strength, so the prep time is necessary both for her to use the details of her quirk + composition analysis to maximize its effectiveness. In this way, she is the opposite of Todoroki as well, who necessitates quick thinking.

I found Tonikawa cute but I was taken out of it with trying to figure out the mystery of Tsukasa instead of focusing on the relationship.

To be fair, Aoyama's plan wasn't a bad one; just that they hadn't realised Thirteen's 'Black Hole' is apparently a literal quirk name and lasers are fair game for it. Still got to show he's not quite as dim as he looks though with a nice insight at the end there...

I want to see Momo and Deku team up. Deku's brilliant at analyzing quirks and tactics while Momo is equally brilliant at analyzing literally everything else. Deku's body moves before he can think while Momo overthinks; they could really balance each other out.

Aizawa is for sure the best teacher. He 100% threw that match, and of course he wouldn't admit it, since he wanted to build up Momo's confidence, and the best way to do that is to convince her she won with her own talents, not because someone let her win.

Yeah, but the difference there was that there was NO practical reason to step out of bounds on purpose (at least not if you're in the hero course). Also, everyone in that arc was their most aggressive selves. Only person who didn't take their fight seriously was the girl from the support class, whose name I forgot.

Luke, the episode title was called "Yaoyorozu: Rising". the ep was going to be centered around Yaoyorozu from the start so with that in mind... episode 1 of S1 was called "Izuku Midoriya: Origin" while episode 10 of S2 (the Deku vs. Todoroki fight) was called "Shoto Todoroki: Origin" try to watch out for these kind of episode titles. the "Origin" and "Rising" ones cuz you know you'll be eating good from these episodes

28:00 yes, momo did make a mistake like she said. Her hand missed the lever to activate the catapult. Part of the reason was she wasn't looking when doing it, and the other could have been panic. Missing the timing in battle can be fatal. If you want good anime where 'normal' couples form and if you want romance, I got a list for you. And a couple where they have babies too (which is very rare in anime for main couples). Just stick with non-shounen anime, specifically romance and/or Romance + High school.

his reading on characters can be a bit, or QUITE a bit off. We've seen this with his reactions in other shows. As others have pointed out, he is 'projecting' the image he has of characters, jumping to conclusions before properly listening and observing first.

Also the most common and universal human mistake is to put emphasis on the 2nd syllable of names when it should 90% always be the first syllable. Na-ROO-toh instead of NAH-ru-toh Suh-KUR-ruh instead of SAH-koo-rah Basically people sound italian when they make this universal mistake Spu-GET-tee (Spaghetti) Lin-GWEE-nee. U-ra-ra-ka or Ura-raka. Splitting them like with english prefix and suffix and root words in language is a good way to learn to pronounce names. The other common mistake people do is mispronounce names as words. Tobias is a common one. Tobias is not a word, its a name. Not to mention it isn't even an English name. But people say Toh-Bias instead of Toh-BEE-uhz or TOH-bee-uz. I've done research on that name and literally every region that is within 20-50 miles in Middle East pronounces it correctly. Only western countries that speaks English in American, Canada, Australia, and UK, would typically mispronounce Tobias as "bias", and for me its really annoying cuz its one of my favorite names. Tobias is the greek form of Tovijah, which is a Hebrew name for "goodness of God", whereas Isaiah (eye-zay-yuh) means "Salvation of God". The -jah from Tovijah, Hallelujah, Elijah, are the same word for "pertaining to God" or "God".

Yeahhhh romcoms might be a bit annoying cuz its more about the harem aspect and nothing much happens romatically. They're still hella funny though. Nisekoi is a good one but the cliffhanger is not fun at all.

I love both the dubbed and subbed versions of this, but i am SO disappointed about the translation here for Aoyama's response to Uraraka asking whats wrong with him In the dub he saws something like "I have no flaws." and that's just so iconic of him.
