As much as I love Uruk-Hai, she didn't tell Shigaraki to get his hands off Deku with a serious face, she looked terrified and her voice was trembling. She came to Deku's defence sure, but it wasn't a moment of her being a badass and making a threat. She was terrified for her friend, seeing him in that situation.

So to clarify what's been said about All for One / One for All Quirks (no spoiler): the All for One quirk itself cannot be transferred, its property is to be able to steal quirks from people, use stolen quirks in combination, and give some stolen quirks to other people. For One for All, the power itself is the combination between self-accumulating super-strength and the ability to transfer itself to a successor through DNA ingestion if the bearer wills it, so basically the current bearer can deploy up to the combined physical strength of all previous bearers in addition to its own.

I think saying the movies are 100% canon are kind of an overstatement from who said that to you. They are canon, but because they were originally movies and the author incorporated elements from it into the main story later. So they're definitely worth the watch, but you may find some inconsistencies with the main anime

The movies are known as "canon adjacent" and arent relevant to the actual series. They are basically fillers that mess up character development and power scaling . They mildy try to retcon actual lore and if they are taken seriously, they make the lore make no sense - Heroes Rising movie is the worst kind of filler, coz plot, character, and lore is made up and forced to fit in the series. It makes better sense ignoring it and thinking of it as a fever dream Deku had 😅 These movies were made in between seasons to give something to the fans while they wait. I like World Heroes Mission movie, but again the power scaling and the timeline makes no sense😅

All the movies are canon, But some people look at the action scenes in the movies and do not like them as canon (I can only assume that has mostly to do with powerscaling reasoning though)

Musicals are in the patreon slot not the tri-slot like MHA. The last set to finish still has in the heights but was delayed due to dhurandar 2's release which Luke had many requests for. This week Luke had put in a "surprise disney reaction" but should get in the heights next week.

Heroes Rising is definitely something. I really like the fight in that movie, but what fuck is that? There's no fucking way that it's even acceptable as a canon spin off, it makes no sense with the rest of the story.

If I remember correctly, at this point of the manga run there already were lots of fan theories of Tsukaichi (the police guy) being a villain, so feel justified in distrusting him.

Finally, literally my favorite episode in early MHA! There are better ones for me later on, But this one is probably a top 5 episode for me. Shigaraki is my favorite anime antagonist I've ever seen and I love his performances in both english and japanese. Also what other villain strolled into the public and abducted the MC just to have a chat and left like nothing even happened. It's just so unique and cool to me IDK, lol.

source? from everywhere i can search online its cannon, and the characters literally show up in the future of the anime, with their relationships from the movie carrying over. the girl from the first movie literally made the support item deku uses in the later season. (and i cant remember the exact quote but horikoshi said that the manga and movies are adjoined, and that the stories of the movies are connected to the manga stories after).

I mean, One Piece has canon elements in lots of its movies. Are the movies canon tho ? Well, not really ? It would make no sense at all for several movies to be inserted in the timeline and between story events. I have the exact same feeling for MHA. Canon elements, but if you try to make sense of it... The last one I watched was the biggest offender, it had the best animation and the best action, sure, but everything else was bs to me. And not just *inside* the movie's frame, because since they're supposed to be canon, it messes up everything else. I really don't like these movies. At best I'd say they are ok, and I remember my friends and I saying they did an horrible job on most of the animation of the first one. But as far as I'm concerned, I loved MHA until they started to do whatever they wanted with the quirks. I'd say... It's a really good show/manga until the later parts of season 5
