Krawbs

How did you never watch this growing up?!

Kungor

I'm 32 years old and this is still one of my favourite movies of all time. Since Robin Williams died, the line where Aladdin tells Genie he's free completely breaks me. I used to watch this every weekend at my grandma's when I was a kid.

GreekReactsGR

on youtube post says it was wenday the stream but yeah it has not been uploaded yet if it was i think luke might be away and be uploaded when he comes back there was no thurday and there will not be saturday stream also so once he comes back maby

BITBOI

A lamp like that would be filled with oil and the wick would come out the spout they were traditionally shaped like that before more modern designs

Rennna

Movies I bet you'd love.. The Hunchback of Notre Dame (Disney) and Moulin Rouge!

Emily Jewett

I think you should do a song reaction Speechless from the live action movie.

Silver

Ayo? You loved the Black Cauldron too? Elite ball knowledge

Nikkelz

PC died in the heat on wednesday, only got 3 mins into the first ep so had to cancel.

Awsmspaceball

Oh damn. I knew the heatwave was bad, but not this bad

mate mzhavanadze

Have you seen The Lion King? That is my favorite Disney movie. Also hunchback of Notre Dame, that is great too. You should react to DreamWorks too. You already did How to Train Your Dragon, but DreamWorks has a lot of other good ones like Kung Fu Panda or The Prince of Egypt. It's about Moses, but you don't have to be religious to appreciate that movie. I am not, and I do, so yeah. And everyone knows Shrek

mate mzhavanadze

Fun fact: the peddler, who is the merchant guy in the opening, is actually Genie in disguise. They are both voiced by Robin Williams so It was a theory that he was the genie and the creators confirmed that it was true and they had planned to reveal it at the end of the movie but they couldn't fit it in for some reason.

Barbietube

I don't know where people recommend movies for him to watch ,but can y'all recommend him to watch The Iron Giant or the Hunchback of notre dam?

DeusSilvam

It's been forever since I've seen this and I don't remember noticing it before. But the fact that Abu sounds exactly like Donald Duck is super distracting.

Maks Lesniewski

Wdym, *nothing* on your bottom half? Did I hear that right? As in, Donald Ducking it?

Maisie

Hairspray (2007) reaction please Also I think you’d love Hercules

Earl Preston

Bill and Ted's excellent adventure!!! You should definitely watch this one. My screen name if you know you know :)

Julie Lyles

Robin did improvise a lot. They did the animation after he recorded most of his lines.

Coldy Snow

Please please pleeeeaaase react to the movies "Sing" & "Sing 2" too!!! You'll love it, I promise!!! *-* :D

TheKnightwatchOfficial

Robin Williams was given topics and recorded 16 hours of improv . He didn't want the Genie heavily merchandized or promoted but Disney did it anyway, leading to him not working with Disney again until the Aladdin and the King of Thieves home video four years later. Aladdin did not have two wishes. When Genie saved him underwater, he specifically told Aladdin he could not have another freebie.

Faen_Galan

Hey Luke, so Robin Williams had actually improvised a lot of his lines and some of what he said wasn’t the cleanest and as so Disney had to throw a lot of what Robin said out and they had to do many different takes because he was getting the voice cast to break character

Leandro Neves

Oh, that's so sad :( I'm currently watching someone else's reaction just to fullfil my expectations 😆

PumpkinSparks

So when you claim you're not wearing anything outside the frame cause it's so hot (I feel you, Germany is melting as well), are you saying you're Winnie the Pooh-ing this?

Camilla Liljedal

A really good movie, loved the reaction ^^ The songs in this are amazing. There is an amazing vocalist on youtube who's name there is "annapantsu", and she has a cover to the Prince Ali song that is beyond mindblowing. If you'd check that out, even in your spare time without recording, I know you'd love it =) Don't perish in the heat! (I am, Swede here) And have a lovely weekend!

Wonderxfull

I have not seen The Little Mermaid in a long time, I used to watch that and Aladdin on repeat when I was little. Love the songs.

Magic-Cat-39

Luke have ye watched Thumbelina?? Not really disney but a good movie (^_^)/

Rime_Draws

The hunchback of notre dame would be an amazing reaction. Prince of Egypt too. Even as an ex mormon turned atheist. That movie is top 5 for me

Matthew Harms

Aladdin is one of my favorite Disney movies. Please consider seeing the genie outtakes. Shows all the improvised lines Robin did for the movie.

TEHUTI SEVERIN

Have you seen princess and the frog or meet the robinsons?

Kuzon39

You should do Hercules!!! (Another Disney movie that I feel is underrated)

Jeff Bruns

You may be the only person ever to watch this movie without knowing Robin Williams was in it beforehand. Amazing😅 I've seen this movie and it's sequels so many times, since I was little, that I literally know all the words...to the movies🤣🤣 Excited to watch it one more time here😁

Nikkelz

Hes seen hercules sadly

Nikkelz

N/A on robinsons but he has not seen P&TF

Jeff Bruns

Fun Fact: Robin Williams DID improvise a lot of this script! The animators animated the parts they used after he recorded 🤣 The first time that had ever been done by the way. You can find videos on YouTube of his outtakes. They apparently had HOURS of unused improv from Mr. Williams 🤣🤣

Hayden Roachell

This is legitimately my favorite Disney movie of all time

Caroline Vitanza

YASS more Disney!! More musicals!!! LA LA LAND NEWSIES (live stage version) PHANTOM OF THE OPERA (25th anniversary at royal albert hall with sierra boggess)

Eamber

OMG youu need to see the Live Action of Aladdin, I LOVE IT!

Anika

I say this every time I see someone react to this. In the intro song, the lines about the heat being intense are not the original lyrics. I won't say the real lyrics here. But if you remember the original, it's a big change. I'm not sure when they changed it.

Penny

The scene where Aladdin is riding the carpet through the Cave of Wonders was so cool when it first came out, it was the first time it felt like you were moving through the space vs just flat 2-D animation, and yes there was a ride at Disney!

Yogesh Mehta

According to the creators and Disney, the movie was to take place in Baghdad (capital of Iraq), but when the Gulf War broke out, they renamed it to Agrabah (a loose anagram for Baghdad) to avoid controversy

Anika

I believe that for both of them there is a different person doing the singing voice. The person that does Jasmine's singing voice is also the one who is the singing voice for Mulan, Lea Salonga.

Cyrill Attakpah

how? oô you are around my age .. how didnt you see aladdin? did your parents smash the TV?

Ironwill

princess and the frog? not sure if you have already seen it

Cyrill Attakpah

"Robin Williams’ improvisational performance as the Genie in Disney’s Aladdin (1992) revolutionized voice acting. Instead of sticking to the script, Williams ad-libbed constantly, generating over 16 hours of unscripted material. Animators had to completely redraw scenes and build the character's visuals around his rapid-fire jokes, celebrity impressions, and wild vocal riffs."

I3ladeDragon

A good movie that is a great first "horror" for kids, is actually the first collab between Disney and Japan studios. "Little Nemo: Adventures in Slumberland" Still holds up for an old film where the USA and Japan are collaborating on animation!

The Large Amoeba

Not Disney but still a musical but you have to do Little Shop of Horrors(1986 version) Directors cut. I'll pay extra for it. Don't test me!

Jacowab

you should check out the Prince of Egypt, its dreamworks not disney but it's one of the best animated films outside of japan.

Ashleigh

Please watch the parent trap! Not animated but another Disney movie, was the movie that launched Lindsay Logan’s career as a child and it’s so good!

Ara Araragi

1:08:24 I love how when Jasmine chews the guys out for treating her like a prize to be won, for a second even Jafar gets a look like, "Oh shit, bros, we fucked up!" 😂

Nate Ming

The Disney Renaissance Era--from The Little Mermaid all the way to Tarzan--gave us some of the best animated movies ever You really should go back and do them all! -The Little Mermaid -Rescuers Down Under -Beauty and the Beast -Aladdin (DONE) -The Lion King -Pocahontas -The Hunchback of Notre Dame -Hercules -Mulan -Tarzan Man, what a run

Nate Ming

Also he totally only had one wish by the end--when he was underwater, Genie said that he couldn't give him another freebie, so his rescue would count as his second wish

Cyber

when it's a patreon exclusive, i wish you add the original captions/subtitles so that it's easier to track since your voice is EXTREMELY louder than the original content and it can be hard to balance out hte audio. please and thank you

Cyber

Aladdin only had 1 wish at the end of the show. After he tricked genie with non-wish number zero, genie was specifically clear that he can't let that slide again. That's why he hesitated and couldn't just save him when he was under water. Genie bent the rules though and claimed that Al's "head nod" when he was passed out in the water was a "consent nod" to his second wish, and that's why he was left with just 1 wish at the end. it counts as a wish because the genie was AWARE at the time that this would have been a wish (unlike his slip up in the first parts), so with him being AWAREof the situation this time, he couldn't just act without the "explicit consent" to the wish, with the bent-rules that "hey he's gagged and under water so he can only communicate with gestures non-verbal, ergo that nod is his wish k thanks byeeeeeeeeee" . Even Aladdin admitted that this was his second wish and thanked him for saving him, because Aladdin is honorable at his core.

Coldy Snow

Because somehow it seems you missed it: when Dschinne saved Aladdin from nearly drowning, that WAS the 2nd wish. He told Aladdin he had to use it for saving hin, and Aladdin was totalle alright with it. So no, in the end, he just has one wish left ♥

Spark

fantastic movie reaction. i really liked aladdin when i was very young. but i got to say my favourite was Sinbad: Legend of the Seven Seas. which makes me wonder if he after watched that one.

Timothy Black

Please do the Hunchback Of Notre Dame!

Daniel Thunberg

Rest in Peace Robin Williams, The best comedian in history! Scott Weinger as Aladdin & Brad Kane provides Aladdin's singing voice. Linda Larkin as Jasmine & Lea Salonga provides Jasmine's singing voice. In the Swedish dub the voice actors does the singing unlike the English version. The irony it takes 2 more movies and a TV series before they actually gets married.

Lucas Prestes

Damn Luke this one took me by surprise, didn’t expect you having never watched Aladdin, how did this happen? Even I watched it a bunch of times, and I was born in 1991

Emily Irvine

Please watch Princess and the Frog!

TheWhiteWolves

hoping you watch the sequels, I quite enjoyed the 2nd as a kid

jwitn

no WAY you never seen this!!! I can’t wait to see you watch it!

jwitn

That, my friend, is a most triumphant recommendation!

jwitn

I 100% second princess and the frog

NikiBelle

Now we gotta do the live action! Hunchback of Notre Dame is amazing as well. As is Hercules. Beauty and the Beast is my personal favorite. The 90s was the renaissance of Disney's animated musicals - anything from the 90s and the early 00s (and Princess and the Frog because they returned to the 90s style) is going to be good and I think we can all agree come highly recommended!

Juleigh Szymaszek

You NEED to see the live action movie of Aladdin!!

Rae

My 3 recommendations would be: 1. Lady and the Tramp 2. Oliver & Company 3. 101 Dalmatians They are some that I don’t see reacted to very often, and I think you would love them all. But definitely do The Little Mermaid next. Also, there is never a day that goes by that I don’t miss Robin Williams. He was a diamond in the rough, and it hurts knowing he is no longer with us.

Steven Clemons

None of the Aladdin movies disappoint! All 3 are equally enjoyable! Even the live action is beautiful and nostalgic!

Silvered Fox

A movie rewatch with the fans does sound like an occasional cozy addition :D It's not a reaction per se, it's just a rewatch but with bonus features!

Antestarr

Fun fact about the opening song, Arabian Nights: In the theatrical release the song was recorded with the line "Where they cut off your ear if they don't like your face." The following year Disney was sued by the American-Arab Anti-Discrimination Committee, so the line was subsequently changed to "Where it's flat and immense and the heat is intense" for home releases (and by proxy changing the song to be about the UK instead ;)).

Nikkelz

While he hasn't seen all of this he has seen many such as herculues & the lion king but no little mermaid, aladdin and many others he never saw as a child.

iDiarkis

next aladdin movie? dont remember the name

Nirza Hoque

Live Action Aladdin 👀👀 with very good songs🧡 Speechlessss💥💥

Pepe Valdez

You gotta watch Prince of Egypt!

Kelli Tucker

Waiting on In the Heights and any other musicals

Cammerel Angelene

Man, if you haven't seen Ferngully yet, that MUST go on the list! For uh... reasons. ;)

Sunami Stelling

The hunch back of notra dame, Hercules, the Prince of Egypt!

Ningen 4 Life

Wow, never thought of that. Robin for decades was the 'genie' performing for others while he himself was severely depressed, and his death literally set him free

Zandrick Krowe

I thought there was something at the end of the credits.

Godzy Lasserre

The princess and the frog, Tarzan, the Hunchback of Notre Dame, The Lion King, Pocahontas, Beauty and the Beast, Mulan or the Little Mermaid ! You can’t go wrong with either one. Even the Treasure Planet. That generation of Disney movies is just a bag of treasures

Ohms

"I wonder what kind of genie Jafar would be". Well about that... There IS a second movie (its REALLY hard to find, even I didnt know about it) where he comes back... and he is exactly the kind of genie you'd expect him to be lol (The movie is Aladdin 2 Jafar Returns if i recall correctly)

Aaren YASS

Just realized the genie MOONED us 😂😂😂

Aaren YASS

Not Disney, but if you haven't seen it, how about Happy Feet? Robin Williams sings in that movie too, bro got vocals. Actually everyone does.

Amberyootoob

The one without Robin Williams.

SidekickSteph

All the Aladdin movies are good, this one is just perfection is all. Hard to do lightning in a bottle twice.

Earl Preston

ive since found out on his george carlin reaction he has seen bill and ted. im relieved :)

顥如 張

Music wise, you must react to Prince of Egypt.

Sarah

Ooh the little mermaid and then the live action little mermaid would be great!! I still want the princess and the frog so badly too!

Cecilie Edgert

What a fun reaction! For what it is worth i really like the live-action remake from 2019 as well. Will Smith is the Genie in that one😆 Also, i gotta ask - is the shirt a nod to MJ's album? ✨️

Super Ryo Reacts

Yep there are behind-the-scenes footage of Robin in the recording booth just ad-libbing all kinds of things. He went absolutely wild in the booth!

Super Ryo Reacts

I miss Robin Williams too. He is such a pure soul. But this movie holds such a special place in my heart, one of my favorite Disney movies growing up! (as far as I'm sure, "A Whole New World" wasn't sung by the voice actors). And how did you not know going into this that Robing Williams was in this movie? I would have bet good money that even those that never saw this movie would have known that through just pop culture! lol But Luke... Mr. GOT Games... I challenge you. You've now watched the movie. You now must find the Sega Genesis version of "Aladdin" the video game, and play it on Twitch. You will get brutalized and maybe toss your controller out the window. But it would be a fun challenge! They do NOT make games like that anymore, absolutely amazing game but freaking HARD AS HELL! (Just as hard as the Lion King game for Genesis around those years, made by the same developers too)

Jennifer Ambrose

The singing voice of Jasmine is the spectacular Lea Salonga. She’s broadway royalty

Maria Amado

YESSS. OMG That one is soooo good

Aiofe

Hunchback is a favorite

Shadow_284

Man, I haven't seen Aladdin in forever. They really don't make movies like this anymore, do they? So much nostalgia, the animation is gorgeous. Since you loved this so much, you should see if you can find the Aladdin animated series. It really expands the world and you get to spend more time with these great characters. Probably not as a reaction series since you have so much on your plate already, but it's still worth checking out. I have a lot of fond memories of it from when I was a kid.

Rach H

Over the Moon is a great movie! It may not be Disney but the story and music was beautiful! 🙌

Katie R.

I kept thinking exactly that when Luke was trying to place where he’s heard the voice actor before - he sounds just like Donald Duck! 😂

Katie R.

Same! Those two were my two constants when I was a kid!

Katie R.

Yesssss!! I was getting retroactive anxiety just watching the scene where they were escaping the Cave of Wonders even now, remembering that level in the Genesis game 😅

VirionAias

Not sure which ones you've watched so far, but I would love to see your reaction to Hunchback of Notre Dame, Atlantis, The Lion King (and Lion King 2), Brother Bear and Prince of Egypt!

Charles Martin

Please React to Sia for your next music reaction!!!!! Also, Brave is the most underrated Disney movie in my opinion

Tomokazu Ohno

And you should watch the live action one now that you have watched the original.

MIce1987

Now you need to watch The Return of Jafar.

tumamita

Luke you have to react to the live action too! Or at least the songs, they're really good
