RWBYReactVerse

Hey, Luke, will we be getting the Michael Movie this week?

Dartinin Vader

you would be vigilante not a villain and those exist in the MHA world. You would be a criminal though but being a criminal and being a villain is not the same thing.

Digital7Seven

I cannot wait for that lemillion scene, iykyk

CasualOtaku

I'm excited to see Luke's opinion of Gentle

Kungor

Bro just go back and watch Uraraka's reaction to Shigaraki with Deku. You keep bringing up how badass she was with the stare she gave him. She was not being a badass and threatening him, she was scared and distressed. Not everyone needs to be like Bakugo.

Notora

about the melon thing: fyi that melon mineta was holding probably cost them smth around 100€ i think. so yh it's a pretty FAT gift xd

Shock

Melons are a popular gift in japan actually. also they are incredibly pricey you'd be surprised how much you pay for a melon there.

Von Yoosten

I think you are judging Bakugo's Image too much with the Option of Hindsight. When the Show first started you too thought he had a bad Character. It was only after some Time to get to know him that you understood his actual Values and saw him in a more nuanced Way and started liking him. The Villains only saw him on TV and got their first Impression in an even worse Demonstration than you did. Thinking back to your own Opinion of him at the Beginning of Season one, can you really blame the Villains for thinking Bakugo is mindlessly aggressive, being held back by the Heroes and has the Potential to just switch over to the Villains to let loose his Anger and strong destructive Abilities?

Heliceo

Oh man but I really think I can fix Toga

BR

MHA has 8 seasons, the "it gets bad" part doesn't happen until the latter half (people can debate on when they feel it starts and ends). I'm pretty sure most people all agree that the first couple seasons are peak. Also fully agree with you on being someone who would go against the rules to save people, but I still feel like the rules should be there. It's probably better the rule exist, people sometimes break it and it can potentially be overlooked, than the rule not exist and everyone with a quirk that can seriously harm or kill someone starts interfering in situations where they don't have the skill, discipline, or understanding of the situation to act properly like a hero.

Krawbs

Luke: "I'd be a villain. 100% Dead serious." Meanwhile, the spin off MHA: Vigilantes/Illegals exists.

Mis6s6y6

Vigilante Luke 💯 I totally agree with you! Your reactions to MHA are fantastic! Your view of Bakugo is awesome and appreciated!

Aeco

I mean, part of the commentary that this show makes is about the difference between being a Hero and being a hero. One is just a vocation, and most Heroes are very much not heroes. Hence, Stain. And in my opinion, it's kinda fucked up that a job like "Hero" exists in the first place.

Ohms

So this man should watch Vigilantes right? for catharsis? lol

AzureWolfe

I may have mentioned this before in an earlier episode, but Deku's VA is the same as Narancia from JoJo's. The VA who did that scream was the same one who voiced Narancia breaking down over Abbaccio's death.

Berbadin

One could compare having a quirk to walking around with a g*n. Everyone in the US can technically do it, but it takes certain training and education (although it could be more) to use it to “defend” people. Otherwise, it would be vigilantism, which isn’t good for society as you’d never know people’s basis for doing what they do.

Berbadin

Another reason for regulating quirk use could be to avoid unnecessary casualties. I imagine many people would overestimate their quirks and their quirk-proficiency. F.ex, imagine Kota walking into an inferno thinking he can save people with his quirk, only to become another casualty because it was way too much to handle.

James Perrott

Luke, at 20:37, there’s an entire minute of anime footage not shown. This is 2 episodes in a row you’ve had this same mistake, I know it’s accident but it’s really really irritating when watching to have the footage just go for an entire minute. Please be extra careful with this, I don’t understand why you take the footage away every single time you pause to talk, there’s no need to and it’s just creating mistakes. You often pause and talk about what’s on screen while also not showing us what you’re pointing out. I hate being negative but this is becoming frequent

James Perrott

My Hero Academia is a masterpiece yep and the majority of hate is all forced just cause it’s popular. Theres only 2 arcs later I’d consider kinda weak, but I wouldn’t go as far to say bad. And it’s not like they’re entire seasons either

James Perrott

Why in gods name would a melon cost 100 euros what are you saying lmao

David Bartusek

Name: Recall Quirk: Memory Manipulation He can erase, transfer or add memory to persons brain. He also works like memory storage, so he can transfer memories between people. With enough training he could make that memory real. For example: this jar is full of strawberies, and he has memory of jar full of cherries. He can take strawbery jar away and store it in his brain as memory, and he can summon jar full of cherries.

Sian Richardson

I bet if Heroes were named Supers or Powered Police, Stain would have never become a villain.

Zinrow

My Hero definitely isn’t bad, and it doesn’t “get worse” like some might say. It has some really fast paced and high octane events later on, and then slows down for a bit before, in my opinion, getting to some even higher highs. Some people generally don’t like that but it’s super important for character building and honestly tonal and pacing shifts are important to keep it fresh. I think MHA is handled really well all the way through.

Legion

My thoughts on the using your quirk have always been like this. Take the sentence: "If I had a quirk I would never let me friends get hurt". Now replace "quirk" in that sentence with "gun".

Sian Richardson

He kind of needs to for SPOILER in season 5(?) to make sense. He needs to at least watch the flashback arc in Vigilantes, but he'd be better off watching the whole thing.

Salieri

i think the easiest way to explain the rules and power thing is the following: how much would you trust a newly recruited cop to shoot his gun without vigilance? the heroes on this society are cops, the moment a cop/hero believes they are self-righteous to decide whats right or wrong by themselves, you get a cop/hero using their gun/power and causing incidents (lets call them "misjudgements" so i don`t get too political here). so the rules are a way to keep "morality" in check by society.

Kevin Croft

What are you talking about? It's for copyright. Are you joking?

Notora

Well you can make fun of me all you want OR you make one google search and educate yourself a little

WhosHue

Hey Luke! I started watching you on YouTube a few years ago, and about a year ago got your Patreon as well. I had been waiting for you to watch MHA and Bungo Stray Dogs for so long, so I’m happy to see you really enjoying and getting into this anime!! The main reason you’ve probably heard a lot of conflicting opinions is because the fandom got a bit rough, and anything that goes insanely popular usually gets very loud in the love or hate extremes. Either way, don’t worry about anything with that if you are enjoying it, that’s what matters! I also can’t wait to see if you dive into the spin off series in the MHA world after the main anime, or check out some of the songs inspired by some of the characters I saw mentioned in a comment from last video. I always look forward every single day for your reaction uploads often counting down the hours till you post. I hope you continue to do what you do and never let the little things, comments, or even editing mistakes get to you. We are all human, and deserve love!!

Pirta

"I would be a villain but I wouldn't hurt anyone" you're going to love a certain gentle fella :D

Laslow

there is another my hero academia manga series its called my hero academia vigilante and its about a group of people without hero licence doing hero work

Recall

In a perfect world you are right about the rules, but that isn't MHA. Quirks are weapons and you don't want people using weapons however they please. That is how you get the leage of villans. Heros only become heros when they can properly use their judgement on when to use their quirk

Nikkelz

This week is little mermaid as it got bumped due to scheduling conflict last week. He has said he plans on doing the movie next so expect it to end up the following week (LIKELY)

Warren

The rules both make sense and are flawed, that's what i like about My Hero it wants it be questioned by the viewer of what's the right thing to do, Someone can easily think the rules saying i cant try and save someone are wrong, but then what if they make the situation worse or accidently interfere with a pro, what if the police had a operation set up and you a random unlicensed citizen trying to do good, but not apart of the larger conversation mess up their thought out plan. But also what if there is no plan and it truly is act now or they will die you cant risk it right, either way the result of your actions is unknown until its to late. And i like that each characters has their own relationship and thoughts to the rules and what the right answer is to them.

Vicente Machuca

you would really like the spin off vigilantes then, they are criminals from the law point of view, but they are only in it to save people while not having a hero licence

Warren

You could Read it correctly so i don't really see the Issue, there not writing a graded essay or book where the grammar needs to be Double checked and be of a certain quality, People should be able to type casually without having to worry to much, as long as its legible then its fine

Drifting Cloudymon

You said it yourself in another reaction Luke, if someone is trying to mug you with a knife or other weapon then “don’t try to be a hero” and take them down yourself and instead just try to protect yourself and run away. That’s basically the same thing here, these kids are still not fully trained Professional Heroes yet hence why they often call the adult heroes the Pros, those heroes are fully trained and licensed to handle these situations. A civilian shouldn’t just run into a burning building to help people because they’re more likely to die or just make things harder for the professionals, whether that being pro heroes or firefighters, by getting in the way and adding another body to save. That’s also why Aizawa almost expelled Izuku on day one, his quirk damages his body so much he would keep being a liability and need other people to save him, and that happened in this arc since Shoji had to keep carrying him around when trying to protect/save the others. It doesn’t matter how strong your quirk is, if you don’t have the training and experience to use it right it’s not going to help in the long run if you just randomly decide to try being a hero.

Warren

I'm always curios what makes it bad to people, i don't I've disliked a single ep of My Hero that i can think of, There's some elements to My hero that i can criticise and think could be done better but the show for me at least remains incredibly consistent in story quailty

WhiteDragon6

For me, it's not about breaking the rules, it's about trusting my superiors. If they think this is the right call, I would trust them because what if I went against them and now they have to save me too

DRACO

Just realized this video released on Deku's birthday lol. And it was shown in the eyecatches too, what are the odds.

Sian Richardson

I makes it more difficult to read. Grammar exists for a reason.

Shad7860

I watched a different reactor watch this before and I saw a commenter each time an event like this happened. He said the characters were being immature and impulsive and letting their emotions and pride govern their entire reasoning, and that letting the characters get away with it was bad writing. For a time I was *almost* taken in by that but was quickly snapped out of it later on when it turned out that commenter was just bitter and looking for things to critique in bad faith. (he popped up again and again and was always complaining in giant paragraphs) Now seeing your reaction here, I fully understand now that that commenter was dead wrong, simply by virtue of seeing a real, living and breathing person taking the exact opposite stance. There is nothing unrealistic about it, and it shouldn't be forgotten that emotional responses exist for a reason The beauty of watching the same gold-tier series through the lens of multiple people is all the unique perspectives and takes you get. And I think there is always something to learn from them Sorry about the rant lol, I guess I just had some thoughts I wanted out of my head :P

The Great Dan

Except quirks are a lot more versatile, controllable and not always as deadly. Say mineta's quirk for example. Of course theirs always the flip side, like ashido could be melting someones face off, which is why I feel like there should always be exceptions

BR

Personally, I never really felt that it got "bad", but towards the end of it (not sure on when exactly, since it was a while ago), I just kind of fell off watching it. Like I no longer got the feeling of 'really wanting to see the next ep and what would happen'. I had been meaning to at some point, once it had finished, go back and watch it all, but that was around the time it had been picked for Luke to watch, so I just waited to watch alongside these reactions.

AdrixelCV

You won't be a Villain, you'd be a Vigilante

Tidz 13

I get where you're coming from.. but say that rule is abolished, anyone, including children, these characters are still children... can decide to run into a building based on their judgment to save a friend... so if it works out.. great! But if it doesn't... no-one prevented that child running to their death, then you scale it up to a whole large town... say 100'000 people?, it would be somewhat within reason to assume like 25% are under adult age? Probably more, and 25% are over, 50% are legal adults and maybe 5% are pro heroes? So say 1% of kids die trying to save someone a year, that's like what 2500 that are allowed to die because the rules weren't in place. I agree don't use your quirk unless you're a hero is wrong, but you're misinterpreting the rules, the biggest issue with deku, icyhot & iida was that they harmed another human with their quirk without being licensed as pro hero's Dekus mum used her quirk at home, bakugo used his as a kid, they're not banned, people use quirks constantly, but they are regulated to some degree

Tarrok

In other languages (German for example) this is exactly how you use capitals. If you grow up this way then not only are you used to capitalizing every noun, on phones autocorrect oftentimes auto-capitalizes every noun.

Sakomi Arorim

The Great Dan if Mineta's quirk covers someone's mouth and nose that person could easily die of suffocation, as he does not have any real control over how long his quirk sticks to a surface. and to prevent such suffocation one would need to tear of the ball alongside the place it is stuck at which would be quite bloody blocking or dodging attacks and running away with one's quirk are basically the exceptions, using one's quirk to attack back is not Same goes for stuff like rescue, One can of course offer help (especially if they have the right quirk for the situation) but should not act without professionals, like call emergency services and follow their instructions one of the issues not really addressed is that most people do not train their quirks like the heroes and the students training to become heroes, so it is not all that safe for random people to use their quirks in an emergency situation

Jeremy White

What are you talking about? He doesn't need to do that for copyright on patreon, he's just fucking up on accident

LookingForOwls

In the world where you currently live, do you seek out gang members and attempt to kill them? You'd be considered a criminal if you did. Nobody is saying you can't defend yourself. In all of these cases, the problem has been students seeking out villains and attempting to fight them.

Sakomi Arorim

Kevin Croft It is not for copyright reasons when Luke is watching the anime while the anime is not showing on screen. That is indeed simply just an error on Luke's part when switching scenes The talking while paused and not showing the anime is however probably indeed to make it easier on editing / copyright reasons, But that can get kinda funny &/or silly when Luke is talking about a moment he paused and we can not see it :P (unless we rewind the video to go back to the moment he paused but before he stops showing the anime)

Sakomi Arorim

Luke if you use your quirk for good even if you are not allowed to by law, Instead of a villain you would be called a vigilante.

Elemento

I again recommend the book-series "Super-Powered" by Drew Hayes. There are also rules and restrictions when it's allowed to use your powers and when not in that universe. They have some really good discussions in regards to this topic and address some points you might not think about. For example: If you fight a villian and damage property who pays for the repair? The insurance will not pay for a random civilian thinking to play hero. Therefore, only licensed heroes are allowed to fight villians. Via the license they are classified as goverment employee and in regard to damages are handled with same rules as damages caused by the police. Additionally self-defense is allowed. So you are allowed to defend against a villian attacking you, but if you case damage or injure bystander you have to proof that you acted in defense othervise you have to pay for the damages.

Daniel Gonzalez

So Luke I'm assuming the moments where there is no visuals is because of copyright strikes MHA has been known to be a bit difficult for certain episodes for whatever reason and I get however can we at least get the subtitles at the bottom so we don't lose the thread I know its asking for more work but I'd even upgrade my pledge for that

Tysado

Regarding the Kota no quirk thing, it’s possible you got mixed up because Deku responded to Kota with a story about “ a friend” having no quirk (talking about himself) and wanting a quirk more than anything.

Daniel Gonzalez

Ima be honest with you Luke as I always have been the people who implied you wouldnt adore MHA definitely were putting their own biases and preferences before yours knowing who you are from watching you react to multiple things its so obvious this is possibly your definitive show if I'm not wrong you like marvel and MHAs creator also loves marvel in fact I think Spiderman is his favorite but his love for superheroes just comes across he's not trying to reinvent the wheel he just wants to tell a story

Daniel Gonzalez

By the way I've advocated for Saturday double drops for 4/7 which I think if you plan out is feasible and who are we kidding you want more of this at the very least I think you should consider adding more MHA when a new slot opens up ask the people I'm sure they'd go for it

charlymoon

no, those are just editing errors, patreon doesn't have those type of copyright issues

Andrea Deffenu

Ill' do a comparison of what you are saying about the use of powers, and that you will be a villain in My hero Academia world. In Our world, or at least in my country wich is Italy, it is the same exact thing refered to "make your own justice" if you go around like batman beating criminale in the night, you are not an hero in this society, you are just making justice on your own, and it is wrong, because you do not have the autority to do so. It's cops, and judges job to arrestato and take criminale in prison not yours. You are just wandering around putting your own amd others life in danger. It's the same thing with quirk. If I have a that allow me to trow fire, and i have not studyed to use it properly, it is very probably that in the attempt of saving someone i'll burn him. So if you are not a professional, if you have not trained to be a hero you can not do whatever you want, not even try to save people, you have to relay on professional and justice. I can not go to save a person if a thief as a gun, i'm gonna get killed and probably even the victim of the teheaft, I have to call police

Awsmspaceball

luke please check your footage before you release it, cause this is the 2nd time in a row that you removed the screen accidentally when pausing

Elias Van Astrea

They treat quirks as weapons. Not because you have a weapon you have the right to fire it, even in an emergency (specially depending on the country you are). It depends on the emergency and the final outcome of everything that you can be charged a crime or just set free without any charge. You see quirks like Bakugo or Todoroki are really dangerous, of course they treat them like weapons and only people with a license and proper training can use them outside from private life/places.

Phoenix_mercury

Not really, 80%(ish) of the world isn't *born* with a gun like they are with a quirk🤷

James Perrott

Kevin Croft, i am going to assume youre only talking about the removing footage while paused, no it is not for copyright lmao. You think hes allowed to show the episode in full but not allowed to show paused footage? what are YOU on about

Phoenix_mercury

The one major downside I see to the quirk=gun analogy is that 80%(ish) of the world isn't literally born with a gun and trained to get used to having it from the moment it "awakens", in this world people are literally born with it and begin to get used to it from the age(approx) 4🤷

Hitsters

Imo and without saying too much, it's kinda like Naruto. When the power system just stopped being one and everything went overboard. I liked that MHA was a show about heroes having superpowers kinda grounded in reality: one case being Bakugo that can make explosions to a certain extent, but he'll quickly get exhausted and start having side effects. I think that in the later hald, it's not the case anymore and it looses a bit of charm. That and spoilers spoilers and spoilers so can't really talk about it. I like certain points, but it gets overshadowed by the negative imo. Not bad per se, but it became whatever to me.

Shadow_284

You said a few times "I don't like these rules, I'd be a villain." But I think you're misunderstanding what a villain is. It's not just someone who breaks the rules. It's someone who intentionally wants to cause harm. You wouldn't be a villain, you'd be a vigilante. Like Batman. 😛

Brian Beelien

Could be better to compare it to a standard civilian using an assault rifle in a random street fight. Most likely going to hurt innocents and probably die than saving people.

Luetop

Hey Luke, I totally agree with your point of view, the rules are important and I wouldn't recommend anyone to break them because I know it could be worse than before, but if I think I have a chance to safe anyone I would break them as well. Love your reactions and morals and can't wait for you to react to one piece, with your morals I just know you will love it :D

Sakomi Arorim

Notora While it is indeed true that luxury type melons are extremely expensive in Japan (some can even as expensive as in the thousands of euros ) However one can also just buy normal melons in Japanese supermarkets for way cheaper than 100€ like for example 1300 yen which is about 8$ USD it is kinda like buying cheap supermarket steak vs ordering luxury steak/ A5 steak from a luxury butcher

ArtKi

It happens a lot and I don't even see all his reactions.

ArtKi

HEY IT'S DEKU'S BIRTHDAY! also I can fix h... oh. ok. Now hear me out! Ref leaving it to the Pros. Have you considered the possibility of a clusterfuck where the plans of the kids and pro heroes foul each other? Have you considered the kids could botch the rescue and have Bakugo and some of the rescuers die while the pros have a better chance of being successful?

Lucas Prestes

Two episodes in a row? Dude at this point I just accepted its a quirk of Lukes reactions, he always forgets to pull the window back after he pauses… I agree that copyright wise he showing the paused screen or removing should be the same, I think he just likes to give himself the focus when commenting something

cread13

Gotta love grammar nazi's. They never fail to find some petty fault to nitpick.

cread13

One of the best scenes in the entire anime for me is coming up i cant wait for u to see it.

Sam Davis

We are fuhkn here!!

Fabian Ruelaz

@24:20 Fruit in Japan is considered more of a luxury food, they actually cultivate premium produce specifically to be given as gifts. To us, a melon is just a melon, but over there they grow a type of cantaloupe called a Yubari King, at the higher end they can be worth hundreds of dollars a piece.

Sam Davis

Navel fuhkn lazer!!!!

Neki

I'm curious, if Toru was unconscious from the gas, how'd they find her? xD

Lucas Prestes

I think the thing with Deku and Ida is, they were in this situation before, saw what a real villain like Stain is like without the pros support and almost died back then, so they know what is at stake here. The others do not, so its easier for them to say they want to act even if its e Illegal

ArtKi

Only time I can think of that happening was when a man with an AR-15 broke up a church massacre, then chased the shooter until the shooter crashed. So he saved people and didn't die.

Sapphire Erika

Why not both? Uraraka was probably feeling a lot of things at that moment!

Yui

STOP SWITCHING "SCENES" INSTEAD OF EDITING THE VIDEO. STOP HIDING THE ANIME WHEN YOU PAUSE.

Sam Davis

To save Katsuki or to not save Katsuki 😬😬

Sam Davis

Most times we know things are wrong.. yet still do them 🤷🏿‍♂️🤷🏿‍♂️ "meddling when you dont need to, is the essence of being a hero!"

Sam Davis

Just wait Luke its about to get crazy

Brian Beelien

probably more comparable if you, me or luke would hold that AR or a 15 year old kid. Like i meant, someone very unexperienced

Xaniss

that's like the 5th time in the last 10 episodes that there has been an editing mistake where the anime isn't shown for like 30+ seconds...

Molbaid

If you want to become a villain to save your friends, then you must watch My Hero Academia: Vigilantes after you finish the main series.

Moshi

If I had a nickel for every time Luke pauses and forgets to bring the reaction screen back in editing...

Pastcoopleader71503

Dear James- if you want to watch the anime pay Crunchyroll to watch the anime we are here to see how someone reacts to the anime not to get a cheaper way to watch it support the show if you don't want interruptions -Pastcoop

Crimson

Except, that is exactly what we are here for? Even if the cost is bare minimum, we are still paying for unblurred/uncut reactions. And we are not getting what we are being promised, granted it is human error and not on purpose, it happens frequent enough to warrant saying something.

LKCynric

So what you're saying is, if your friend is take IRL, you gonna get some guns and go rambo on them? Its not about quirks. You dont have quirks but people have guns, you still cant go around shooting like this is a cartoon. Also THEY ARE KIDS. Under supervision THEY CAN USE the quirks and they did when training. Tsu didnt get in trouble. Deku and the others did because they went against their guardians. If the students go around trying to be heroes they can end up doing more damage as they are not ready. Thats what the school is there for, teaching them and getting them ready.

Rory

What did I say about the Tsukauchi slander? lol

Stumblewater

You do agree with the rules of not fighting and letting the pros handle it. Otherwise you would own a gun (real world quirk) and be stopping all the criminals in your country even before you were fully trained to use said gun.

Digital7Seven

he's said inside jokes that don't say anything are okay, didnt even say anything was a character, you did that

Zen Reacts

Luke the villains are running circles around the strongest hero course students and you think its a good idea for the other students to go and try to fight them?

Mudokai

I think that the controversy of what is right and what is wrong and the shades in between is what makes this show great

davguev

18:16 Yes, I do.

davguev

@Kevin Croft You must be new here, right? Of course it's not for copyright.

Spooky Moth

The way I forgot how dramatic they kidnapped Bakugo. Like I legit forgot about how and when. And then Deku's scream hit so much harder.

dartcp

If only there were a story in the My Hero world that dealt with that—people who aren't heroes but perform heroic deeds... I think I'd call that story *My Hero Academia: Vigilantes*; that sounds like a good name for it. ^^

dartcp

Btw, I’d be a villain too if I could fly; then I wouldn't care about the rules against using my powers. ^^

dartcp

They might well think they can convince Bakugo to turn evil, given his behavior—but that isn't necessarily the main point. Everyone saw how Bakugo acted at the Sports Festival. They don't actually have to convince him; as long as he gets kidnapped (which undermines trust in the heroes) and reappears as a villain—whether through persuasion, hypnosis, or brainwashing (which we know exists)—they will have achieved their goal of sowing distrust. They would then have portrayed not only the heroes as incompetent but also the world's best hero school as incompetent, by demonstrating that one of its students had turned evil.

dartcp

Deku actually looks normal too, if you ignore the main-character hair. ^^

Krowft

Oh right, the ONE way I need help is off limits, I see..

Barack O. Llama

fr, i know he's seen the comments explaining that he's wrong so idk why he keeps bringing up this made up scenario lmao

Barack O. Llama

its not for copyright mate its a mistake. i assume you're new here

Barack O. Llama

yeah i remember in the biggest episode of jojos during the most important scene luke just entirely cut it out because of the same mistake. its pretty annoying but i think i've seen it happen like 50 times lol. sometimes it happens at the worst times tho

Barack O. Llama

its been quite a few years of reacting and he still hides the anime when its paused. its a very odd choice

Barack O. Llama

yeah after episode 14 or 15 of this season its a big down hill. the end of season 4 is great but season 5 is awful for me. i dropped it at the start of season 6 because it just kept going downhill

躺平

another note about vlad, blood and vlad are pronounced very similarly in japanese

Daniel Gonzalez

Its most likely not a mistake both Jojos and MHA have been known to be extremely strict at times with copyright he's probably just taking out the footage that was flagged on his YouTube uploads

Marcel Hanke

Still standing infront of him is courage isnt it?

xrmy

This arc is stupidly good

Kyle Garrett

You'd be a vigilante, not a villain. Villains break the law for personal gain, while vigilantes break the law to help others. Main series doesn't focus on them, but there's an entire spin off dedicated to that side of society.

Kyle Garrett

I think it's totally reasonable to think Bakugo would become a villain. Early on you even thought he felt kind of like a villain more than a hero. His explosions are perfectly suited for mass destruction or casualties, he's constantly angry, constantly yelling about how he's going to kill people, wanted to name himself 'King Explosion Murder' and was so unhinged they were treating him like Hannibal Lector at the awards ceremony. I 100% see why the general population would see him as a villain. The only reason we don't see him that we is because we get glimpses of his inspirations through Midoriya, and also see how he interacts with his classmates in settings the public don't see.

Kyle Garrett

My issue with the kids rescuing bakugo is that this is equivalent to going to people that have been in a police academy for 3 months, giving them some handguns, and then sending them to a random building that might have kidnappers inside (armed with assault rifles). How many kidnappers? What's the layout? Is this the right building? Who cares, lets just send these untrained cadets in and hope everything turns out fine. In any real world scenario that type of action would result in mass casualties and severe injuries.

SnowSenpai

You can help/save people without using your quirk. The law states using your quirk to cause damage to others. So while yes, a quirk can help when you’re trying to save someone, they can also be hurtful. Thinking that someone so young could hold back enough to not hurt some while trying to do good is a huge oversight. Imagine if Stain actually died during the fight between him and Deku, Todoroki, and Iida. They had good intentions but now they’ve killed someone. Totally different outcome.

Kenra

Luke and the normal looking guy hahaha

Just gonna add one more comment to the pool. Luke you're my favorite reactor and the goat don't ever change. Nothing but love to you and what you do. I totally see your point about inaction vs breaking the rules to save someone. Even though well intentioned I believe if people were free to use their quirks and fight or try to save people at will some lives would indeed be saved and it may allow people to feel better about themselves but at the same time i think that this would be the very small minority of situations I believe that far more often people would get themselves hurt or killed instead leading to an overall much higher body count. You wouldn't be a villain Luke you would just be dead.

I'm on Luke's side with this one, she may have been scared but she still threatened shigaraki to get his hands off deku

Hey man please check the videos for editing mistakes before posting 🙏🏻 There was like a minute of missing footage

That's right you pay to see a reaction not the anime itself. Obviously the anime screen is the guide but the important part is his reaction.

JFYI I don't mind him complaining at all. I think it's justified. I correct People's Grammar as well constantly because it's an important Topic for me, too. And I AM German, that's the Basis for the Capitalization I use - well kinda, I include the few Capitalizations from the English language as well, like capitalizing Languages. But me being German and "used to it" is actually not the Reason why I do it, I used to write "normally" or "correctly" but switched over because - maybe ironically in Response to this Comment - native English-speakers noted that it made Things more readable and they liked German Capitalization. I guess it's up to yourself to decide, but in my Years after switching and getting used to capitalizing in English, I have heard more positive Feedback than Negative. But please do know that I appreciate the Criticism and some People actually caring for Grammar. "there not writing" gave me a Stroke and I wish at least the usual Words (there/their/they're; your/you're in English or seit/seid; das/dass in German) were used correctly by more People. And again, I can't refute the Complaint, what I do is factually wrong and I actively decided to get used to doing it wrong because despite the faulty Theory, it turned out to be helpful to some in Practice.

You're here to watch the reaction. Go watch the show and come back if you really don't remember what's happening in that scene. Honestly if you've already watched it (which I assume you have since your watching a reaction video) you should know the gist of what's going on anyway. 😑

it's the first time i've seen luke admit that he was wrong 😅

Luke I completely agree with your logic about saving people in emergency regardless of rules but you’ve got your scenario completely wrong here. Your argument is regarding saving a person in danger in front of your eyes. But that’s not the case here. This is a rescue mission and kacchan already has an entire police force plus pro heroes going there to save him. And right at this time they are arguing in this episode, the pros have already made their way there. This is completely different from a life and death moment where if you don’t act they die.

Season 5 especially onwards is when it starts to hurt. The pacing for those arcs was really bad because Bones decided to swap the order of the arcs from the Manga on top of the animation being a notable step down. They cut some important character development too. Season 6 first half was cool in concept but really REALLY hurt a character massively with a big story choice and basically removed them from the story for the next few years back when the Manga was ongoing and undercut a lot of the themes from act 1 of the series. Finally, the last act of the story was very rushed and because of it, a lot of developments for characters that were teased all throughout parts 1 and 2 were basically just thrown away and tbh it kind of fucked the ending themes as a whole. The series in my eyes kind of spat in the face of what it had shown up to that point and I felt like it failed at accomplishing it's goal of telling the reader some truly moving stuff.

Dear Pastcoop- thats niave. Not everyone has 2 monitors, or even watching on a PC. You can get used to filters and audio buffers all day long, but complete removal isnt usable for alot of people. The frustration is just, the demanding is not

Noggin Eraser: by looking at someone he can make them forget what they're thinking at that moment. If he looks at his reflection he forgets what he just said (Dude sees his reflection in the camera whenever he reacts and erases his memory without knowing.)

You keep forgetting, they are minors, would you want your teenage son to go after his kidnapped classmate even if he were in a special Police Highschool? There is also "obstruction of justice" by well meaning people in the real world too.
