I think the cast was decent but shamalan was definitely the worst director choice. The strange decisions and acting? You'll find that on half of his projects.

18:16 That's literally the case. I remember watching a behind the scenes promotional thing on Nickelodeon back in the day. M Night said he changed the pronunciation of some of the names to sound more Asian. Because he's Asian. I swear on my life that that came out of his mouth.🤣

Watching you take it all in. He is one of us now. This is not the live action you are looking for. The Netflix adaptation is better but by no means perfect. I think we can all agree it’s better than whatever this was.

i remember watching this in the freaking cinema and even as a 12 year old i thought it was really bad. Watching the rock bending dance always gets me, everything just moves so slowly, its like a parody :D

My sister-in-law literally got sick and had a terrible headache while watching that movie with me and my brother at the theater. We all agreed that it was horrible. 🤢🤮 Luke should definitely watch it, lol. 😂

I had purged this from my memory after watching it once, over a decade ago and I was happy. Then I tried watching the Netflix and encountered PTSD flashbacks to this and stopped after the first episode. Now this burned back into my memory and needs to be purged again. I don't I will ever watch the Netflix series, but I do hope that it is at least decent.

i watched Greenland 2 and it's easily the worst movie i've seen in years. literally the entire movie is: character get to location, immediately find a person who gives them shelter and/or a vehicle, that person soon after dies or the main characters leave them behind tohet to a new location and it starts all over again. like genuinely happens 4-5 times this movie

Dragonball Evolution was really bad, but this one did cost a lot and has a kind of famous director, so it has no excuse being this bad. I think in one scene you can see a modern lamp that they forgot to remove in post.

I've never seen this movie until now. I actively avoided it. You're commentary was hilarious 😂 The disdain mixed with the dry humor got me good😂😂 P.S. M. Night admitted that he never watched the show before making this movie. That's why the names are pronounced incorrectly. He said that he just skimmed over the story. SHAMYLAN!!😭

Honestly only super small details in this movie are actually good. Such as the Monk Gyatsu scene, where Aang recognizes one skeleton among the piles, because he made the necklace it wears. I feel that adds emotional depth and weight to a connection between two characters we don't get to experience for long in the show. Such an amazing change, wasted on this adaptation!!

Fun fact: Each nation is based on a cultural+racial group Zuko and the fire nation is Japanese. Water tribe is the Arctic Indigenous peoples. Air nomads: Tibetan Buddhist monastic culture. And Earth kingdom is China. Honestly wish they did race based casting. They might stumble into more understandable dialogue. It would be really funny if they all spoke different languages too. XD
