Rem is best waifu

People are eating good who are fans of both Mushoku Tenseu and Re:Zero.

What about No Game No Life fans? I mean even Tanya got a second season so there's no way it's hasn't gotten one after all this time, right?

Tailmon

Well, pals, the calm everyday life is officially over. From here on out, things are going to move very quickly. You wanted some action? Then brace yourselves - the next 6 years will be filled with nothing but action for Rudeus and all his old and new buddies. The real Mushoku Tensei begins only now.(and it will be torture for us to wait for the fourth season which will be released in ~2029-30) P.S. DO NOT WATCH THE PREVIEW FOR THE NEXT EPISODE if you don't want massive spoilers. P.P.S A little background for those lost in the timeline: Several months have passed since meeting Sara, Rudeus is now 18 years old, Sylphy is 18, Roxy is 52, Eris is 20

Tailmon

9:02 This ring is a magical artifact that can be used by non-mages. It creates a magical shield; Nanahoshi used it to protect herself during their first meeting, when Fitz attacked her.

Daniel Pitts

We know who Perugius is already. He was the one who sent the lightning dude after Rudeus on his 10th birthday, when they thought Rudeus might be the source of the mana disturbance.

Vicente Machuca

the bro is so big to this world that we are in the year 423 of the armored dragon calendar, the calendar of the world is based in him

ArtKi

You saw Perugius, briefly, in turning point one. he sent Amalfi to kill Rudeus.... because he was suspicious. Not sus, suspicious!

Oatmeal1504

Been waiting to see Perugius since I read MT like 3 years ago. This is the most excited I've been for an episode maybe ever. Last he was mentioned was the beginning of the series in season one, if I remember right.

Nanohoshi gots the COVID from Japan... It finally kicked in. Everyone in this world is dead.. DEAD! This world is immunocompromised from being reliant on healing and detox magic. It was one season ago, this ep (S2E7) that Rudy kidnapped Linia and Pursena, having them tied up in his room. Nanohoshi doesn't have mana and the ring protects her (she used it when Sylphy tried to kill her). I'd have done the same just incase.

"Back in my old world, choosing Roxy would have meant losing Sylphie. And it could have worked out that way here, if not for Sylphie's decision to forgive me. The only lucky person here was me." Quote from the light novel acknowledging that the reason the two wives situatuon works is not only because "of course sylphie would accept it its normal in this world!" but because of Sylphie's character

Zer0

21:01 gross misrepresentation of what people are trying to tell you. We are trying to tell you what Sylphie is feeling from the light novels that isn't being adapted that well into the anime.

haru

Yeah, it was kind of weird that when people are trying to explain things in terms of the world/story itself, Luke's response was essentially "lmao you guys must be virgins"

Joshua Vaughn

4 of the 5 big Isekais are airing at the same time. Mushoku Tensei, Re:zero, Saga of Tanya the Evil, Slime, and Konosuba.

"How many of you have never had a partner?" Gee, thanks dude, you're awfully kind and entertaining today - did you eat a funny shroom or something? Actually there's been cases - a lot too when it happens in reality as well but maybe you can't possibly imagine that since you rarely read history books or are actually interested in any other than your own fokin country's history... Also, some people genuinely try to explain to you the setting and how it is adapted since there's nearly not enough time to adapt every single detail and instead of you being just a little bit grateful for that or accept it with grace not with condescension, you completely disregard it and treat it as a joke - not to mention insulting them - yeah that was an insult, laughing and being all giddy while saying it doesn't make it less harsh to the people who are actually trying to assist you understand the story and whatnot. I don't know why they bother honestly. I don't give a flying fuck to be real but I occasionally see some people's comments and they feel disregarded and misunderstood when you treat everything like a joke. Might not be a good vision for you, just saying.

The gulf that can exist between what people think they know about the world and the reality of the world is always striking. Some people have this flawed logic: Sylphy’s goals and decisions aren’t what I think I would have done in her shoes => it’s not realistic / the character development is problematic. This logic assumes that the whole world thinks the way they do. And yet, Sylphy’s characterization is much more realistic than these people realize. 1) I have a problem with the fact that she doesn’t end her relationship with Rudeus after his infidelity. => Studies show that this is the choice most couples (60-70%) make when faced with infidelity. 2) I have a problem with the fact that she accepts (under certain conditions) that Rudeus has multiple lovers. No one would do that. => Read the literature and studies on Western practices of consensual non-monogamous relationships and how they’re perceived. You’ll be surprised and learn a lot. People like Sylphy does exist in our world. => So imagine how Sylphy's behavior is unsurprising/accurate in a fiction-world where polyamory is common. => Sylphy (like all the characters in MT, and like in real world) is not one-dimensional. Her decisions are based on several factors ,emotional, rational, contextual, and related to her goals. And every choice the characters make has consequences. - The LN makes clear that Sylphy WAS hurt by Rudeus’s infidelity. More specifically, she was hurt because he broke a promise he himself had decided to make to her. - It makes also clear that Sylphy would prefer to be his only wife. She can feel jealousy. But those aren’t the only emotions and thoughts Sylphy feels. Here are some other : - Sylphy loves Rudeus deeply. - She does know that Rudeus loves her deeply. - She wants to live by his side. - She does not follow a monogamous religion. - She wants to have a family life. A happy and stable family is her priority. - She is the first wife and the matriarch of the family. - She doesn’t want to be a source of sadness or unhappiness for Rudeus. - She knows how important Roxy has been in Rudeus’s life and how much he admires her. - She sees that Roxy sincerely loves Rudeus, right away. Even before the conversation. - She see that Roxy does not intend to destroy their marriage. She even intends to leave. - She understands that Roxy saved her husband, the man she loves. - She knows and admits that if she were in Roxy’s shoes, she surely, too, would have slept with Rudeus even knowing he was married. - She grew up around Paul's family and witnessed how happy they were. - Sylphy was worried that Rudeus would tell her he was leaving with Roxy. She felt relieved when he apologized for his infidelity and asked for her permission to take Roxy as his second wife. - She was pregnant with Rudeus's child. - She was aware/prepared that this kind of situation could happen. The characters writting is multidimensionnal. This leads to an unusual, more complex narrative pattern, but more realistic. Sylphy’s decision and her behavior are the result of all of these factors combined. She made her own decision after taking all of this into account. She decided what she can tolerate, what compromises she can accept based on what she stands to gain...and also what she will not tolerate, her limits. Her behavior is consistent and logical...even if you, personally, would have made different choices.

4:54 - Cliff: "Detoxification magic can't fix an unhealthy body." Luke: "True" LOL...

zenting

LOL - Calm down. It's only a cartoon.

Frentzy

In modern world the terminology is: polycule (rudy's relationship). 3-5% of all relationships are polycule . a.k.a luke should update his views. If multiple polyamorous persons get together then it's easily possible

Frentzy

@zentig, yeh the LN readers got triggered this ep. is kinda funny. I just write so luke can search and ask ai about polycule

GTB

When do I give you the impression that I’m not calm? Just because it’s fiction doesn’t mean we can’t discuss the topics raised. Aisha is a fictional character => her "illegitimate daughter/sister" complex is a reality in our world. I could just say that Luke’s take on Sylphy misses the point. But I find it more interesting to explain why. If you’re the type to just say “I like it/I don’t like it”… well, don’t read the arguments; it’s that simple ;).

Neki

Luke wants "Mad Dog" to train Norn with a sword.

The Pots

@zenting - what you just said is kind of a brainless comment tbh. he said pure facts and yet we're resorting to turning one's brain off to immediately shut down someone lol

Mr. Dog

You should watch episode 12 on Muse Asia on YouTube. They do proper mushoku tensei translations as well as translate the opening and endings! Please switch to Muse Asia. To watch Muse Asia on YouTube your VPN should be switched to Indonesia.

Another random/ wacky episode. Gotta enjoy peaceful times while they still are… Yep, it feels everyone grew a lot, or maybe not that much in the end Did they actually steal a mellon from someone’s garden?
