In your defense you guess more things right than wrong I believe

Kirléo

That's it, I'm crying again 🥲

Pirta

it all really started when Kacchan fell off that log as a kid and the quirkless Deku was the first one there to offer him a hand

Kungor

2 more episodes of this season, it has 25 episodes, not 24.

Shadow 55

You need to check out the Two Heroes movie after season3. It’s the best my hero movie!

Meteoria

Shotgun baby needs to be an indie async multiplayer game, just saying

So Bakugou admired All Might because he always won and Midoriya admired All Might because he always saved people; it's a big part of why All Might mentions they'll have to work together - they are essentially each one half of what made All Might so incredible. Because Bakugou was always praised for his quirk, a big part of his self-worth was coming from his ability. Because Midoriya didn't have a quirk, Bakugou didn't see him as having any worth. That being said, a part of him recognized Midoriya's natural heroism in wanting to help others (when Bakugou falls as a child and Midoriya offers to help him up). I think there's a sort of jealousy there that turned into hatred because that "heart", as All Might puts it, is not something that comes as easily to Bakugou. Twist all that up, and it created a weird perception in Bakugou's mind that Midoriya was doing all this on purpose to show Bakugou what he was lacking - rubbing it in and "looking down" on him. Incredible episode! Loved your reaction and I can't wait for season 4!

So it took me awhile to appreciate Kacchan as a character he's such a douche but he's our douche which is why I'm glad Luke turned on him so quickly he hated him then loved him pretty much in almost no time great reaction this episode really explained Deku and Bakugos dynamic it was kinda weird why he was so attached to him but he's literally Dekus oldest connection error kindergarten to now and yeah he admires All Might but Bakugo was the closest to him and also kinda embodied their ideals its funny that's talks trash more when he gets fired up because that's what Bakugo would do

Kosaki

Told you men communicate through fists

IAmABacon

Hope you got to see the coolest part in the editing! looked like you got so excited by the voice acting that you shook your head around during the fancy footwork of Deku haha. Understandable, to be fair

TOMfoolery

I cannot wait for season 4. My favourite might be season 6 along with the final season but we got through season 3 so fast that I feel like it won't be too long until we get there

Adam Crosby

Even though in most aspects I'm not like Kacchan at all, i understand perfectly well why he doesn't recognize his own strength. He's a perfectionist. At every turn, every little weakness or imperfection he perceived in himself just goes to show that he's Not Good Enough. That is why he pushes so hard, why he's so good at everything, because inside he's gnawing at himself, demanding utter perfection. I'm 49. I've been living my entire life under the learned, self-imposed weight of Not Good Enough. I'm slowly learning to recognize the good. It's tough to be happy when every spotlight that shines on you just makes every flaw that much obvious to yourself.

Vigilantes manga started shortly after the Stain Arc and introduced things before they became a subject in the main series. There are some really good back stories to beloved characters you can only experience through it!. Worth the watch!

Marcus Brenton

Oh boy, season 4 is going to be a ride, hope you're all ready 😆

Yo, one piece starting on saturday? +1 to the collective >:)

Honestly next season is absolutely amazing too, it's gonna be a great couple of months

Biostar

What I really love about this fight, is that the conclusion is not the one that Bakugo wanted but the one he needed. His whole life he lived by the motto that heroes have to be the strongest and always win. By his standards he's being failing and failing since starting UA while Deku has been surpassing him. Then he gets kidnapped which led to his idol bring brought down. He wanted to confirm that he wasn't wrong about his belief in this fight, Deku is clearly stronger than him so he should win the fight. But he didn't, Bakugo did. That's why he seemed so confused at the end. So now Bakugo can't hide behind the excuse that he's weak, now he has to confront his beliefs. Like All Might said, you need more than that obsession with winning to be a great hero. I've seen far too many people miss this point and just wanted the MC to win a fight.

Vertiguous

While Kacchan did figure it all out, he only started thinking about it because of what Deku said about using a "borrowed power" after their first training fight. Hence his accusation of "Why did you have to tell me, damn Deku".

ChronoEterna

Buying a Zoo. His son is absolutely adorable 😂

Von Yoosten

Damn, thanks for explaining that so well! I don't think I ever thought about it consciously like that.

jwitn

I’ve been waiting for this episode since the start of the show! It’s so good!

Vitero27

You CAN buy a zoo! Matt Damon did so you can too! This was one of my favorite episodes and has such good a character growth moment for Bakugo and Deku.

Kyle Garrett

I personally really like Vigilantes, so I hope you watch it.

Kyle Garrett

This episode always makes me cry. Seeing the vulnerable side of Bakugo, seeing how much pressure and guilt he felt, it always gets to me. Nothing he feels justifies how he treated Midoriya, but it still makes me sad to see someone in so much pain.

Kadda

Kacchan… i love him so much!

Kadda

Naruto and Sasuke proved it works 😆

Von Yoosten

Deku specifically said "continuous" Output raised to 8%. And it was just the first Hit that thus was unexpected for Bakugo. And he uses his Arms at 5% to not strain them. It baffles me that he said it's not a big Improvement. Considering from 5% to 8% is over 50% more Power. The Numbers are small so they don't sound impressive, but in Relation it's huge. Concerning Deku "looking down" on Bakugo: Consider that Bakugo has always been really strong and pushing Deku around, clearly trying to establish that Hierarchy and prove himself as the superior one. But Deku was sticking to him and trying to help him, treating him as an Equal who sometimes struggles. Deku never saw Bakugo as the infallible one that won't need any Help. That is why Bakugo interprets it as Deku "looking down" on him. If Deku saw Bakugo as so powerful like he wanted to present himself, then Deku should have accepted his own Place in the Hierarchy and not pity the Strong one.

Nate Ming

This is, for me, the absolute highest point of MHA in terms of emotion and action Also gets me super hyped for Luke to watch movie 2

Omux

I can't wait for one pieeeecee let's gooo

Joshua Vaughn

Its sad that Hayden Panettiere passed away a few days ago. She was one of the best character in Heroes.

Michael Wallace

Wait you wrote a book!? I love reading fiction I'm going to need a copy

Isa

This is such an emotional episode, genuinelly one of the most impactful ones in terms of character development!!

Marc-Andre Bujold

Deku did tell him early on. I think it was ep 2 or 3. Bakugo just didn't take him seriously at the time, but it was a big reason that everything else connected in his mind and he figured it out. He's still amazing though.

Vinnick

That fight had basically been coming since episode 1. Along with the All Might/All For One fight earlier, it really makes season 3 feel like the end of Act 1 for the whole show overall.

Hamad Panzer

What Kacchan said in the end wasnt that the punch was good or powerful. He meant that the mix between kicks and punches came very unexpected and that made him mad. So deku shouldnt do just kicks or just punches. Its the mix that makes it powerful.

The Large Amoeba

Bakugo suffers from Impostor Syndrome. His whole life has been spent with people telling him how great he is and over the years the weight of expectations left him questioning his own ability. Same reason he has so many issues with Deku. Deku is the only person who saw Bakugo as a person who may need help sometimes. Everyone else basicly told him "Your so great, you got this!" so in his eyes Deku was calling into question everything he'd been told his whole life. Thus looking down on him.

WhiteDragon6

This might be when Bakugo became my favorite character, excited to rewatch the later episodes!

Matei

hey luke is there any way we can read your book? i m pretty interested, or is more like a personal project?

Kaylee Smeaton

If you are going to watch Vigilantes, you might want to watch it before season 5. There's a reveal in season 5 that isn't really set up well without Vigilantes - it'll come a bit out of nowhere. I think the assumption was when the manga was releasing that readers would be reading both, so when a few concepts and characters appeared in MHA, they'd already know who they are. Either way, you'll enjoy both.

Sam Davis

Chronicle, Heroes (S1-S3), Jumper super top tier movies & series

Kuroro Lucilfer

What an amazing episode is, I think it's in my top 5 episodes of the whole series! Most people start to understand Bakugou in this episode because we finally get to see how he sees the world. He genuinely felt that back then Deku was mocking him when he tried to help him because in his eyes he was strong and didn't need help. He felt like Deku was looking down on him the whole time. It was probably the reason why he never stopped bullying him; he felt offended. This may be weird for some people to understand, but Deku actually did shake his world view by becoming strong. He could not understand why this was happening, even if he already knew how he got the power. It just made no sense to him why All Might appreciated Deku so much to give him his power while he was weak, with no power, and in his eyes useless. At this point Bakugou does not understand what a strong heart means and that it can be heroic. It's done so well. I always feel for the both of them so much here, because it's not just Bakugou finally opening up; it's Deku understanding why Bakugo acts how he acts. Also there is a thing that nearly no one catches and I kinda want to point it out. It's about what Bakugou says to Deku. "If I'd been stronger and not get kidnapped by the villains..." He's rephrasing what his mom told him in front of the teachers when they visited their homes. She told him that he was too weak and got kidnapped because of it and caused all these problems. It's big proof that his mom is either too stupid to understand his problems or just actively feeds his insecurity even more. I, for my part, do not like his mom. She definitely loves him, yes, but that doesn't make her a good mom. I think she plays a big role in why Bakugou is how he is. I think she's abusive physically and mentally. She has such a bad impact on Bakugou. I mean, her introduction was her hitting him, then getting mad when he reacts and hitting him more, and then victim blaming him. I really do not get why people like her. Ahh, I always get too much into this stuff! The episode always makes me emotional. But I love the reaction!

Yeah, starts Saturday at 10:00am British time. So...calculate according to your time zone. 5am for me. Ugh.

Nikkelz

Hes already watched two heroes, heroes rising won't be until S5

Sian Richardson

It's a bit unfortunate in a way. All Might wants to be there for everyone so they don't have to worry, so he never lets anyone see his doubts or struggles. He wants the world to see him as something unshakable, but in doing so he taught those who watched him the wrong lessons. It seems to be a common theme across multiple characters that heroes are seen as superhuman - they forget they are just people in society. In a way, All Might made the world more fragile in his attempt to become a pillar. I think one thing MHA almost gets itself confused over as well in its messages... is that it's not a competition. Bakugo, Midoriya and even Stain seem to forget this. It's not about being perfect or a saint, or having everyone depend on you, or going beyond your limits. It's about being there when you can.

Kiwi

I seriously don’t understand how anyone can like Bakugo. Just so annoying imo.

Subaru130

I'm pretty sure Bakugo even says "Don't look down on me!" or something like that to Deku after the Sludge villain incident. I remember thinking, "Well, if he says not to look down on him, that means he does view Deku as being in a position where he could look down on him." And that was before Deku even got OFA. When I first read this fight in the manga, it was very validating to me because a lot of stuff Bakugo revealed was what I had actually been thinking since the beginning of the story. It's why Deku reaching out a hand to him when he fell in the stream as a kid was so triggering. In that instant, he could just instinctually tell that Deku had the heart of a true hero, which screwed with his whole perception of reality. Ever since he got his powers, he was getting talked up by his teachers and friends and began to believe that a strong power was the most important thing in the world, but here Quirkless Deku was, someone that wouldn't hesitate to reach out a hand to help even without powers. Add a powerful ability on top of that already righteous heart, and it's easy to see why Bakugo felt so threatened when he found out about Deku's power.

Legacy

Bakugo is the goat of this show iykyk

LKCynric

This is a good episode as they talk about how they feel. And the animation goes hard, but the end result was obvious before it started. Deku could never win, if he did it would destroy bakugo and thats not the point here. Also he just changed to kicking a week ago or something. So its obvious how it ends. I remembered not liking the episode as I didn't like the fighting, but the dialog is fantastic. Great character growth from both.

Henri Afschrift

15:50 Blimey ! How is a teenager no able to see how awesome he is ?? He's so strong he should be fully self confident no ? oO

Matei

ah cool. thanks

Daniel Smith Jr

I personally find season 4 and 5 to be the two weakest of the series but that's just me. I absolutely can not wait for you to get to 6 and beyond.

Awsmspaceball

true. Luke just makes so many guessess that even when he's got a dozen wrong, he still got two dozen correct

Scythemare

I'm sure it's already been asked and answered, but I gotta be the 69th comment for this. Is the One Piece stream going to be saved somewhere? Definitely won't be able to be there

xrmy

What an episode, from the voice acting, animation, emotions, everything was just soooo good. The way Deku admires Kacchan so much and calling him the incarnation of victory is really heartwarming. This season was sooooo good, and it's crazy to think that the next season is even better

Ara Araragi

I took a shot every time Luke said "Kacchan" I was hammered by the 2:00 minute mark

Shadow_284

I think you might've misunderstood a bit. Deku can indeed now use 8% of his power continuously. He was just saying for an instant he was faster than Kacchan because Kacchan wasn't expecting it. But after that moment, Kacchan was still able to keep up with him, albeit barely.

Shadow_284

Jumper was pretty bad, imo. Cool idea, but poor execution.

Sam Davis

For what it was.. I enjoyed it

Kenra

I never skip the intro, I love being called an amazing beautiful person 😊
