Chris Altavilla

Been waiting for this one🙏🏼🙏🏼

Rem is best waifu

Sun eater really shines this episode, sadly he doesn't get as many episodes to shine as I wish but this is a good one.

Dronkel

You remember how you once said: "Everytime I ask a question, My Hero Academia answers it immediately?". It will take some episodes, but your question "Why do heros wear capes?" will be answered as well :D

Zen Reacts

For watching a show that takes care to show how any quirk can be useful you talk alot of shit about some characters quirks

DigitalxNugget

“Why do hero’s have capes” love that question

GhostZethAaa

"Why do heroes have capes?"... oh you'll get to know.

clear

where are the one piece reactions??

Warren

I thinking that as well lol

Spa7his

In America, usually new kids got bullied, I went to a school that was smaller and typically didnt have much bullying, and even then the new kids still got shit on by other students. Its just people in america I guess are less welcoming. I also live in the North, maybe the South is different

Holy Shot

Remember how you asked how can every season top the previous one? Yeah lol

Warren

its not going to happen but i would really love a Big 3 spin off even if its one season, i really want more of Amaijiki and Hado, Miro as well of cause but the other two need more time to shine

Olman Cheng

Interesting question "Why do heroes have capes?"

Deiondre0

We’ve seen a lot of quirks that have these built-in limiters to them but I dont think Tamaki’s Manifest is like that. He swallowed a literal rock and manifested a shield of it within seconds, theres no way he even digested it. One of my favorite quirks in the show.

Skyler Croghan

haaha just came down here to comment the same thing

Magic Fibre

This is probably my favourite fight of this arc When Mirio fought class 1-A, no-diffed them and it was implied that Suneater and Nejire could mop the floor with them too and then I saw his quirk I was like "yeah no way" But after this episode I was like "oh yeah I can see that"

Vinnick

Yeah, Suneater's pretty badass here. It's the adaptability more than anything that makes him incredibly dangerous.

Biostar

This isn’t explained in the anime so not a spoiler, but Bubble Girl’s quirk is to basically form bubbles with any aroma she has smelled before. So she can make sweet smelling bubbles or foul ones. So basically she has compact stink bombs. Not the greatest quirk but definitely useful for throwing off an opponent in a close quarters fight like she did here.

Lots of benefits to capes: 1) Cold weather. 2) Rainy Weather. 3) Shock Blanket. 4) Restraining or Disarming Weapon. 5) Breaking Line of Sight. Capes were effectively lighter cloaks that were intended to keep you warm, especially while wearing armor because the armor is made of metal which in cold weather can result in extreme frostbite, so the armor needs to be kept warm. Basically, capes date back to... a very long time ago because they or at least their equivalents have been used globally for potentially thousands of years by nobles or soldiers, making them Hero iconography in the modern day.

AzureWolfe

The reason they can't make an outfit for invisible girl out of her own hair is because her hair is also invisible and would be effectively impossible to work with. If only there were some way they could make her hair visible.

Holy Shot

Definitely a forever-sidekick quirk lol

LKCynric

Wait I never noticed.... "shines like the sun" and he's called sun eater.... ooohhhhhh...

Tamus Heath

Glad you liked the trio here, some of my favourite henchmen in the whole show

Kirléo

Why does heroes have cape ? Man, you just asked the best question, and maybe you'll have an answer in the series, maybe not 🤷👀

thewizardninja

Capes actually serve a ton of practical purpose. Out of combat they're an extra layer of warmth, they can easily be removed and used as sheets or blankets or even rolled up and used as pillows. In combat thicker capes were traditionally used as light, flexible armour for the back that wouldn't restrict the rest of your body, but there's also an entire historical fighting style revolving around using the cape to obscure vision and deflect blows and doing things like sword catching and disarming. They also strike a more imposing figure and add to intimidation but superheroes in particular are calling on regal and noble symbolism to be more inspiring.

Diego Miranda

British school is so different from where I live omg, I was transferred in middle school and the only reason I made a friend was because we were both very good at losing pencils so every now and then we started borrowing from each other, when I went to high school I spent the first 2 months alone because everyone already knew each other and spent all their day day in their little groups so I relate to these stories a lot

Joshua Vaughn

Luke had like the nicest school ever.

Finelia Braun

Sure, they are great friends, haha, like good roommates... :D The way SUNeater talks about his SUN, I am pretty sure he has a massive crush on him.

G User

Huh, why do they wear capes? Hopefully, there is an answer in this season as to why some do and some don’t

Joshua Vaughn

1:28 One day we will learn that Luke was actually home schooled and his parents just brought random kids over and paid them to be nice to him.

L.C.

Give it a couple more episodes and your cape question will get answered

L.C.

Invisible girl wearing a suit won't matter much either way. Her quirk relies on light refracting on her in order to make her visible or invisible. Everything we see is because our eyes allow us to see it because light is bouncing off of everything and becoming visible. Hopefully I got this correct cause I am tired right now and I might have forgotten something but I kind of got a quick rundown about this in science classes.

Sian Richardson

It really wasn't very smart for Eraser Head to run off before Suneater had a chance to knock them out. Would have taken only a few extra seconds, but instead we get a drawn out fight that could have gone horribly. Anime logic and plot armor.

Prowlcorp

My theory on bubble girls quirk. If she develops it a bunch, bubbles can do different things. Like, imagine being in a field of condensed acid bubbles and trying not to breath them in

Sian Richardson

Why do heroes wear capes? 🤔 Reminds me of a joke... I just saw this fella running down the road with a cape on... I shouted: "Are you a Superhero...?" He said: "No, I haven't paid for my haircut...!!!" Makes me wonder... where do the heroes in MHA get their hair cut?

Sian Richardson

Edna Mode has entered the chat... NO CAPES!

QU33NDR4G0N

Although my brain immediately thought of Edna Mode. "NO CAPES!"

m_love96

Literally thought the same thing 😂

Kevin Croft

I dont know if anyone has let you know but IIRC Bubblegirl was a fun submitted character that won a contest the author put on. So they put her in the story, I think thats why her ability is pretty simple.

Lucas Prestes

On hold until Twitch fixes their shit

Christine Copeland aka Christine's Culinary Quest

Question for you Luke, have you ever watched the animated Incredibles movies? Since you like realistic hero world depictions and based on your comment about capes and a few other things I think it'd be really fun to see your reaction to it if you're not that familiar with the movie(s) already.

One G. O A. T. One Dream

I doubt there is any rule it has to be food, its just... not that fun or healthy eating rocks and other weird things, so yeah smarter to get good at using food items than going for stuff that gonna damage his body. Thats my thinking on that. Also wearing a cape is not big problem when you can litral pass tho objeccts.
