Anime only here. I have a theory for slime. The thing Diablo is going to tell Rimaru to do is use the mask. The Mask! Diablo is fascinated with it because of the time stuff. also It was Chronoa/Chloe's at one point. Its suppresses Chronoa!. It has to. just like it suppressed Ifrit inside Shizu. Maybe something to do with its time qualities. Idk, but that is what I think it will be.

2026-09-15 16:00 1:53:25 ~ 1:56:00 "it is pronounced like Samuel" and "Samuel with a D" both simply mean that instead of saying the "Sa" part of Samuel, One instead replaces just that part with "Da" but keep the rest of the pronunciation of Samuel the same. ( Sa-mu-el with a D -> Da-mu-el ) The spoken Japanese however can sound more like Daa-mu-eru or Daa-mu-elu. Which is due to the Japanese language not liking to end a word with just a consonant, As all their Katakana & Hiragana consonants have a vowel attached at the end, With the exception of ン/ん which can be either a N or a M. And in Damuel's case the name is written with the Katakana ダームエル ダ = Da ー = Alters/extends the Da into a Daa & prevents pronouncing it as Dam-mu-eru/Damu-eru ム = Mu エ = E ル = Ru/Lu

Where we go from here? Don't forget this is just the 2nd cour of the 5 cour season. Btw how insane it is all the big lightnovels titles are finishing their 'prologue' at the same time... slime,mushoku, bookworms!! So excited for Luke's upcoming reaction to all these 3 titles

The debate is whether they pronounce "mu" as MYU or as MU. And they do pronounce it as MU, so Luke's right.

The conversation between Chat and Luke about Damuel's name was not just about the Japanese pronunciation of Damuel/Samuel or if they say Mu or MU or MYU or Muu My comment was created as Luke disagreed with a chatter comment of"it is pronounced like Samuel" . And while it is true that the Japanese pronunciation of Samuel/Damuel is not the same as the English pronunciation of Samuel/Damuel. Regardless of which language pronunciation one uses, If one stays in that same language for both names Damuel is pronounced the same way as Samuel.

To the best of my memory from what I read in the LN, I believe he does have a copy of the mask when he faced Hinata???? I might be wrong but that's what I seem to vaguely recall.
