My favorite part of this was the whole talk Aizawa had with Deku we couldn't see.

Dyblood

The episode is so quiet compared to the last few episodes and I think this is the focus of the message that everything is different now and is far more serious than ever

Rem is best waifu

Nighteye dieing is one of the saddest parts of the anime until the final season. Imo this show just gets more dark past season 5 but it is also more interesting.

Nakama Forever

That hits so freaking hard. I've already seen it before, but it's still got me in tears 😢

2026-09-26 19:00 I honestly feel like you missed Nighteye having a giant spike through his torso. Not once did you have any reaction to it when it shown, but you were also very surprised that he was going to die. There's no way he would have survived that.

This isn't me being an asshole btw, so if it comes across that way, then my bad.

It´s always funny for the audio to go to shit when the sponsor drops, why? ;D

Kungor

Also the sudden outro after a scene like that is diabolical.

Yui

I feel like I missed a whole part of the episode because you decided not to show it.

2026-09-26 20:00 One thing to remember about Recovery Girl's healing (as it was explained way back in Season 1, so you probably forgot) it enhances and speeds up natural healing, in exchange for the target's life force/stamina. So it cannot heal something that wouldnt naturally do so over time, or if they dont have enough stamina to do so. So the big hole in Nighteye's stomach wouldve been impossible

Kitsune

also in a way, nighteye's quirk will be challenging to write to keep further in future parts of the story as it can solve a lot of possible big conflicts they face.

StefNano

it happens. he already talked about that

Amdallah

i really found it funny that last episode you thought that they wouldn't kill deku or the others even though Nighteye had a giant spike through him, but as you can see they did and just a headsup, just because season 1-3 was not dark doesn't mean the rest won't

Isa

''this is not the MHA i know'' oh boy its only just starting ToT

Marcel Hanke

you need to fix that your screen goes off after some pauses. I wonder what the problem there is. It happens not every pause so..

Rory

This is the tip of the iceberg. The series gets way darker.

Ferilleeagh

Screen disappears Luke "Look at our boy" Getting close to where I stopped watching. Excited to see what's to come.

Andrea Deffenu

I said exactly the same thing on the episode where he was injured, he didn't react at all to a freaking giant rock spike that teared apart his whole stomach and intestines. I know My hero didn't killed a single good guy tilt now, but man, that was a catastrofich injury

Andrea Deffenu

What did he said about it? It can't be fixed?

Brian Cooper

If you think this is Dark seasons 6, 7 and 8 are genuinely gonna kick your ass😭✌️

Shadow_284

It’s on purpose. I suppose to make it sound like an old timey radio ad.

Jonathan Kinney

I have a different take on Nighteye's death. I do agree that the tone of the show in general is much darker in this season. Death has been a subject they've shied away from up until now, but when I first experienced this I surprisingly didn't feel that Nighteye's death was dark (It was tragic, don't misunderstand me, I think I even cried iirc). Nighteye's core story revolves around guilt and insecurities about trapping people into immutable futures, ironically learning his lesson at the cost of his own personal hero All Might. It is what makes Nighteye such an interesting character, even defining how he tries to shape the world with his agency. Nighteye feels desperate to fill the hole in the world he caused. Running his agency, Nighteye forces everyone to smile until it becomes a habit, to never stop trying to think of ways to make people laugh. When he punishes people for failing to spread cheer, he uses tickling, a method that also causes laughter. Why does Nighteye focus on smiles and laughter so much? The answer is All Might, more specifically the guilt he feels about "causing" All Might's death. Nighteye feels a need to increase the smiles and laughs in the world because he's taking All Might's iconic smile and laugh (and what they represent) away from the world. This all stems from Nighteye's core belief: his future predictions are immutable. Deku changing the future destroyed that entire framework in a moment. All of the guilt, feelings of inadequacy, and the belief that he was the villain who causes All Might to die transforms into a true legacy of heartfelt good that he put out into the world. For the first time ever, Nighteye is able to see the hero everyone else knew he was, and a world that was never truly chained by him. I choose to believe that Nighteye's smile at the end was a genuine one, the smile of a man who knows what his legacy is and is finally able to be proud of it, a man who had finally found a peace he didn't think he deserved, and a hero who finally has the chance to see himself for who he is. Nighteye's death, despite the tragedy, was a moment where the light won. . . . Now the scene of them taking Overhaul's hands/quirk and Overhaul's breakdown as reality dawns on him, that felt DARK.

Warren

I love this anime so much!! and your reactions are so good to it as well

Vinnick

RIP Sir. Good game.

Stavik96

This was the saddest moment for me until season 6. Fuck season 6.

Ara Araragi

Mr. Compress taking one of Chisaki's arms as payback was darkly funny. Shigaraki taking the other arm to leave him quirkless for the sake of making him suffer in bitter irony... that was the first time I really feared him and the League of Villains. Also, good job Chisaki. You destroyed everything you claimed to be working for, and now you can't even fix the yakuza boss that you put into a coma.

Christo Badenhorst

love your reaction and I had a similar reaction. Night eye was gone too soon. but you hit the nail in the coffen. its a tone shift in the anime. cant wait for you to continue

Sam Davis

Just something about Luke being all hairy in his blue shirt 😍😍🤤🤤

Sam Davis

Dad-zawa always coming in for the clutch victory

Sam Davis

The ost when they showed shiggy and the others we heard it back in S3 when they appeared at the training camp

Sam Davis

Shiggy hit checkmate on chisaki quick!!

Sam Davis

"A society without cheer and humor will not have a bright future" 🔥🔥🔥🔥

Sam Davis

R.I.P Sir Nighteye the first major death of the series

LookingForOwls

Luke, the Hassaikai didn't have a cure. They were planning on developing one next after they perfected the bullet making process.

_____ Rasse _____

When and what did he say? This has been an issue for a while. Can it not be fixed?

Vicente Machuca

they really should've changed those endings in these type of episodes, how can you have such a sad end of an episode, and then Kokai no Uta comming right after.

Sakomi Arorim

6:33 Suneater using a swordfish's powers to save Eraser Head, Which kinda in a chekhov's gun way was made possible due to Fat Gum giving Suneater a swordfish to eat right before the raid happened.

LKCynric

Im find with it and find it funny. I assume he presses a wrong button? Always happens after he's speaking to the camera. So i assume there's also no fix as the screen was never recorded.

LKCynric

Imagine poor little Eri flying around with deku in any other situation! She would be having the time of her life!!! Damn didn't remember magician guy took one of his arms. Savage. But payback His fate was awful but after what he did to Eri, deserved!! At the end though I wonder, was Sir able to see the future, or was there nothing to see as he wouldn't be there to see it? If he wasn't that would also affect allmight future I assume as... well he saw allmight die. I wonder if they ever touch on this. This was the last season I watched so I dunno.

Finelia Braun

You keep talking about a cure, but there is none. Overhaul would have created one using his and Eri's quirks.

G User

Now chisaki is h-“armless”

Kiwi

A person with a massive hole in half their torso Luke: "How could they possibly die from that" xD

Sakomi Arorim

Sir Nighteye's Foresight quirk lets him see the future from the perspective of the person he is seeing the future of. The Wiki says its from a 3rd-person's point of view though but whether Sir Nighteye sees through the eyes of the person/1st-person's point of view or not, Sir Nighteye own perspective is not relevant to the future stuff he sees) Meaning Sir Nighteye saw All Might die from All Might's perspective, And he saw Deku die from Overhaul's perspective, And saw Mirio's future of being a great hero from Mirio's perspective.

PorterDragneel

i was surprised you didn’t at least think this was an option, he had a big ass spike through his body lol

Snow

OH DONT WORRY, IT GETS SO MUCH BETTER

davguev

The YouTube version doesn't have that issue. When it happens, watch that part on YouTube, then come back. That's what I do.

davguev

@LKCynric It was recorded, that's why the YouTube upload does have it. Not sure what the problem is.

Saiful Saiful

Deli should have brought uncontrollably eri to sir night eye first to reverse the damage but it's seems like modoriya unable to think I'm that situation

WhiteDragon6

I feel like there was a false sense of security with characters not really dying and recovery girl being able to heal a lot of stuff which is why it was so suprising.

Phaerroh

Keep in mind that the police also has no idea what the quirk-erasing bullets are. They found them on Overhaul and confiscated them as his personal belongings but that doesn't mean they also know just how much of a massive thing those are.

Kyo

Don't give "soft" spoilers, setting expectations for future episodes or seasons... saying the final season has the saddest parts is giving spoilers and telling them what to expect and when... it's incredibly disrespectful to be saying things that taint the idea of going in blind as a reactor without outside influence or knowledge...

Kyo

Not sure if you caught it or not about the moment with Chisaki, but when he lost both his hands his first thoughts were of his adoptive father figure... and how now he can't undo the damage he did to him to put him in the coma... it was a pretty dark but poignant moment of realizing he essentially doomed his father and can never fix what he's done.

Miss Malice

Isn't the blue box the "serum" that Chisaki developed to sell to the heroes that for their quirks taken away? He explained everything in his monolog but now that the serum (aka the "cure) has fallen into the LoV's hands, the heroes don't have access to it and can't reverse engineer it to possibly make more.

Miss Malice

I never caught that!! I thought he was just reflecting on his relationship with the boss and regretting being a jerk which led to their estrangement and how they were unlikely to reconcile because he was gonna be going to jail FOREVER

Finelia Braun

Actually... you might be right :D I think I just forgot about that because it never gets relevant in the end, so I assumed they never finished that product.

Danny

Never understood why they didn't use Eri and Erasurehead together

Belle

I just finished crying from the episode and now i'm weeping again. that is such a beautiful way to frame it. "The smile of a man who knows what his legacy is and is finally able to be proud of it..." Right after him calling Lemillion his pride. And also the Overhaul scene at the end is definitely the darkest moment in the episode imo. Shigaraki didn't just take his quirk, he stole his ability to undo the 'coma' type sleep his Pops was in.
