So happy you did this!!!! My favourite movie of all time, such a joy to watch!

Very underrated movie! Apparently movie theaters had different endings to the movie while the release had all the endings.

2026-09-25 18:49 Omg I love Clue!!! However, I was today years old when it finally occurred to me that he is called "Mr. Boddy" because he is the body. I feel so dumb! Also I'm pretty sure a female "pimp"/ owner of a brothel is usually referred to as a Madame.

Would love to see you react to the 2013 animated film called Epic if you haven't watched it before. It is hilarious and also one of my favorite movies.

Maks Lesniewski

Clue is also what Cluedo is known as in North America.

how did we devolve from this good humor to marvel humor these days

Halloween Movies - Hocus Pocus would be right up your alley and a great film. Depending on how you interpret it, Nightmare Before Christmas could be either a Halloween or a Christmas movie. The Corpse Bride is another 'softer' horror movie, musical, and claymation like Nightmare Before Christmas. Quite fun for the season. Beetlejuice is a must if you haven't seen it yet. Ghostbusters also a good vibe for you for Halloween. Young Frankenstein is amazing for a 60s film. Quite hilarious. The Addams Family and Addams Family Values are deliciously wacky too. The Lost Boys is a classic 80s vampire movie. Interview with the Vampire is another must if you haven't touched Anne Rice's pivotal novel she wrote in a month of grief after the death of her own child. The Craft is full of delightful camp and 90s McWiccan angst. Instead of Mean Girls it's 'Mean Goths'. There's a few ideas in there which are more campy, comic, and offbeat, and a few which present as traditional horror films but the whole thing is now a cult classic favorite and a snapshot in time that's fun nostalgia.

Soard Scozocs

If you havnt seen it "The 5th Element". if you have. . gotta watch "Kung Pow"

Such a great movie! When it was released to theaters, it had the endings as 3 different endings. Some cinemas would advertise what endings were shown when - some only showed one ending ever, so you had to find other cinemas to see the others - and other cinemas just randomly selected which ending they were showing at each viewing. When it was released for home viewing they set it up on the dvd so you could select which ending you wanted or this version. There's also a stage play! It also has each ending and the theatre can choose how they wish to produce it. Many pick the ending they like and only perform that ending - others do this version - and a fun one, though somewhat confusing for the actors (my friend played Wadsworth - Tim Curry's Role - in a version that did this), is prior to the show, someone (stage management, Wadsworth, or even an audience member) randomly selects an ending (pulls it from a hat, rolls a die, spins a wheel, etc.) and that's the ending that happens. It can mean the actors don't perform a specific ending for a week or perform the same ending multiple nights in a row. Halloween Suggestion - Since you're enjoying your Tim Curry binge, you mentioned you believed he'd done a scary movie. He has! Tim Curry was the original Pennywise for It! So, though I myself do not enjoy horror and cannot tell you if its any good - they obviously remade the film, so if you haven't seen It! perhaps its a nice cross between two things you're doing. A nice factoid about the film is that Tim Curry had a severe phobia to clowns - so in his contract there were absolutely NO reflective surfaces permitted on set or near him while he was in make-up at any time. A make-up artist was almost fired because she had a compact with a mirror in it as she was touching him up. Christmas/Holiday Suggestion - To get this started early as well! Journey to Bethlehem is a fantastic movie! Even for those who are not religious, it tells the story of Jesus' birth very well and has INCREDIBLE music. So, even if you're only there for the music - its worth the watch. And the cast is fantastic.

Fun fact about Clue. If you ever watched the g-mod series the Yogscast did, playing murder, one of the more common maps they played on was a map of the mansion in this movie. If I remember, it is quite accurate to the movie including hidden passages.

Sue Norrell

So glad you watched Clue. Brilliant movie! Good ones for Halloween 1. The Sixth Sense 2. Halloween (original 1978) 3. House on Haunted Hill (1959 Vincent Price) 4. The Birds 5. Rosemary’s Baby 6. Signs

CosmicRaven

love your reactions, really want to see you react to Quest for Camelot, I really think you'll enjoy it

Mericat

I LOVE Clue!!! One of the iconic movies of all time. Unmatched dialogue. I definitely second whoever recommended Road to El Dorado—it’s great and has a fantastic soundtrack. Some important historical context: the movie was made in the 80s but is set in the 50s during a period of time known as the “Red Scare.” It was basically a mass hysteria over the threat of communism and government infiltration by the Russians. The House Un-American Activities Committee was real, and infamous for ruining the careers of several Hollywood artists. If you’ve ever heard the term McCarthyism, it refers to this period of time and specifically comes from one senator called McCarthy who got popular by freaking people out with wild claims about government corruption and then “investigating” them. Nowadays McCarthyism is basically synonymous with defamation. Also, being gay was more than just taboo in the 50s—it was quite literally illegal in the US.

Angie

An example of socialism is the NHS.

Dorran

I 100% stand by these recommendations! Spooky season isn't just horror, it's the whole spooky vibe!

Dorran

Clue is such a gloriously ridiculous movie! I personally like the final scenario the best. And, yeah, there are a lot of great spooky season movies to watch. I wouldn't vote to go for only horror movies. One anime movie that is tied in with Halloween would actually be The Cowboy Bebop Movie. Not sure if you've seen Bebop before... but if you _haven't,_ you really need to fix that, too!

Super Ryo Reacts

29:25 A female brothel host is called a "Madame" Its funny how that joke about Professor Plum's working with lunatics and then working at the UN "so your job hasn't changed" goes over so many people's heads! LOL 31:40 It was the 1950's. It was unacceptable to be a homosexual and work a government job. Unless you're J. Edgar Hoover, I guess. 43:40 Again, this was the 50's. There was a lot of political inquiries into who may or may not be "communists" or "socialists", as they thought if you were, then you were a Russian asset. The cook was killed because she was Mr. Boddy's informant, well one of them at least. As others have said, this movie came out with three endings, but when it was distributed to theaters, nobody knew it had three endings because different theaters got different endings! It was only when the film came out on home video release did they put all three endings together! Such a neat trick back then haha!

Super Ryo Reacts

It never made sense to me why outside of NA the game is called "Cluedo". Whats the "do"? Luke is in the UK, and he knows it by "Cluedo", but dont the British just use the word "clue" just like Americans do?? What?

Maks Lesniewski

No, I'm pretty sure all of Europe uses Cluedo as a name.

Julie Lyles

J Edgar Hoover started the process of wire tapping phones for the FBI investigations. That’s what the joke about “Why’s J Edgar Hoover on your phone? I don’t know he’s on every body else’s. Why wouldn’t he be on mine?” Was talking about. It’s one of my favorite jokes from the movie.

Golden Witch Beatrice

There’s a good chance you’ve probably seen them but Halloween themed DCOM(Disney Channel original movies) could be a good idea. It plays on nostalgia and isn’t bloody thus easier to edit around. Some suggestions of DCOMs: Don’t Look Under The Bed Halloweentown 1-4 Twitches 1 & 2 Phantom at the Megaplex Under wraps Sister from Planet Weird Scream Team

scarlett

@Super Ryo Reacts It's a combination of the words clue and ludo. But I guess people don't really know the game Ludo in NA so they changed the name to just Clue there?

Julie Lyles

Yeah, the idea was that the three endings would emulate that the game could have random endings each time. Originally you would watch the whole movie with just one of the three endings (apparently different theaters would be playing different versions of the film. My mom mentioned that one of the theaters that she went to would be playing one ending on one screen and another on the other, so you could pick which one you wanted to see). When the DVD version came out all three endings came out in the combined version we are watching now.

Michael Mavis

Now THIS is a movie! Lets Goooooo!

Vitero27

Signs would be fun, I think Luke mentioned he never watched it before if I’m remembering correctly

Kal

What about maybe Practical Magic, since the second one is in theatres now? Beetlejuice is my favorite Halloween-type film, but also The Witches, Gremlins, and Little Shop of Horrors.

Nate Ming

Animated movie/Tim Curry crossover suggestion FERNGULLY: THE LAST RAINFOREST

AttackRunRepeat

For October, Frankenstein and Nosferatu are my recommendations.

Kal

There was also a fourth ending filmed where Tim Curry did ALL the murders, but they never released it. Hoping one day they will!

Betzal

I do love how you called Julia Roberts “the woman from that one episode of friends”

Adam Crosby

You should watch Little Shop of Horrors (the musical). This into the Halloween vibe as it's based on the B horror movie. Plus it's amazing and you'll love it!

Amanda T

Little shop of horrors, Sleepy Hollow, good Halloween movies.

Lai

halloween surgestion : hocus pocus. general tim curry surgestion legend and muppet streasure island.

Lai

a woman "pimp" is generally called a Madam

Jon Dickey

Ooooh you should react to Deathtrap!!! Starring Christopher Reeve!! It's a great thriller/mystery/whodunit!

I3ladeDragon

Kung Pow and Idiocracy are great movies!

Michael

Yes, exactly, socialism is just communism with makeup. Doesn't change what's underneath.

Claudia Fasano

If you want to watch something as wild and funny as The Rocky Horror Picture Show and with an exceptional Tim Curry (and cast) in it, I hugely recommend Spamalot. Unfortunately, I was only able to find a full recording from the audience on YouTube. The quality is not superb, but it can be enjoyed without problem. I think it's the only full recording out there!

yipyipyippee

omg yes that's one of my favorite movies from my childhood !
