What Gentle Criminal wants is to show the heroes how irreponsible holding the festival was by filming a video of him secretly infiltrating their school festival, essentially sending the messsage: "You're lucky it was someone as nice as me."

Ben Stephenson

to answer your question, yes I almost always get up when I'm getting the restless/can't sleep feeling. I find it way easier to just get up and distract my mind a bit more before trying again. Almost always works for me.

Roli D. Great

:) to this video's Luke prologue...

Mobile Offline Gamming

THE ONLY POINT of Gentle here is just to sneak in and quietly leave and then finally post a video about it later so that he will be recognized as someone who has done the impossible and get some popularity(that he clearly lacks, imagine those OGs annoying pranking youtubers). That's basically it.

ManicMan 1601

Gentle Criminal basically wants to set an example, showing everyone how, given the current state of villains and heroes, it is unreasonable to just hold a festival and show people "look, even i managed to get in without setting the alarm, now what if an actual bad guy might try to do it?!". In turn also hoping, that many important places would actually use more resources to improve security and such.

SamJaz

I will say that Gentle Criminal is my favourite antagonist in the entire MHA series, but for reasons you haven't seen yet so we'll get there when we get there.

SageJ

Not enough weight being given to the fact that, should the event be canceled due to this, UA would fall under even harsher criticism, teachers and admins could lose jobs, student conflicts continue and maybe even escalate and Eri continues to see a world where good things cannot happen. Those are the stakes here, just presented in a form with more levity.

Roli D. Great

It is officially confirmed: Luke likes 'dirty' anime girls xD

Diego Miranda

He's not one to be forgotten, obviously I won't say why because that would be a spoiler but you def won't forget him

Vinnick

Gentle does have one of the more creative quirks of the series; plenty of applications, and great for battlefield control. Overall more useful than you'd think at first...

Biostar

It’s really just for clout, he came up with justifications that it would help the students grow but really it’s for the infamy of breaking into such a prestigious hero school.

Holy Shot

Gentle just wants to prove that he CAN get past all the security no matter how high they thought they raised for this special day, that it was not enough for even a simple man such as him.

AchmodinIVSWE

Reminds me of those urban explorers sneaking into Disney world/land and such places.

Zen Reacts

No character in this series is forgotten

Nikki C

GENTLE!!!!

Skyler Croghan

it was proven on myth busters that at least laying there trying to sleep actually does do something for you and does help you rest even if you cant actually sleep. but doctors recommend getting up and doing something "that does not have screens involved" such as reading a book, which ive never tried because that would require me to turn the lights on at 3-4am which seems counter productive. and idk what else you could realistically do at 4am

Rory

Gentle will be an important character later, but you gotta keep watching.

Marc-Andre Bujold

10:25 would you even say that the convenience store having rope seems pretty....convenient?

TheKnightwatchOfficial

If my eyes pop open in the middle of the night and I know for a fact I won't sleep for awhile, I might put on a movie or tv show. But usually it's not that bad so I just snuggle down like a bear and go back to sleep--sheets over head, pillow over head, small breathing hole, that's it.

hussam abdelalim

Probably to make a video of himself drinking tea on the school grounds

Batman0116 Gameing

MHA is really good at not forgetting characters. typically if you meet a character unless its a movie character you will be seeing them again in one way or another. even some movie characters reappear

Kieron Davies

Gentle is in my opinion, the only person who matters in the whole anime. Without him, everything falls apart

Finelia Braun

We have a few of those characters, Phantom Thieve is also pretty important ^^

Finelia Braun

He just wants to prove they can do it, that is all ^^; Yeah, just that, haha.

Kadda

You won’t forget him ☺️
