You will for sure like the full openers of the new dragon ball super and black clover. They are both great. Also Black Clover has 170 episodes and season 2 has 24 so it's a big one.

I've not watched Dragon Ball myself, so not sure whether or not it would be a good replacement. I do think Black Clover could be a good replacement, but it's probably a little less popular than the other anime you had in that slot

Hey I'm not sure why you stopped but I think you should listen to anime openings again that are recommended like you use to instead of just these "Top 50" opening videos and call it a day. Alot of really good openings and endings kinda just get glossed over cuz those videos only show like 5 seconds of the song. Half the time they don't even let you listen to the BEST 5 seconds of it💀 Just a randomly placed snippet. Really Really good openings by artist you like fly over your head every season cuz you only get like 5 seconds of them

Dragon ball would be a great replacement for MHA, just don't get thrown off the if the viewership is lower then you expect at first, lots of people never saw the original dragon ball anime because it aired after dragon ball Z in the english speaking world and for some reason they just refuse to watch it. the further in you get the higher the viewership will get, dragon ball super: beerus is just a remake of an arc and it was still popular enough to crash Crunchyroll last sunday.

I would say, speaking of Big Popular Animes, u still have to watch : - Bl**ch (he who must not be named) - Dragon Ball (very huge saga with hundreds of episodes, didn't watch it all, to be honest)) - Black Clover - Fairy Tail - 7 Deadly Sins (I dropped it, but maybe ur community would ask it at some point) Surely I forgot some, but those are what I can think about now.

i personally know for sure i wouldnt be watching dragon ball reactions. its kinda hard to really say what you should watch since i practically only watch from here nowadays. sometimes i even miss videos i really wanted to see cause they only got uploaded to the yt channel

Honestly, Dragon Ball is a foundational title and has influenced (and is referenced by) SO many other manga and anime that it's worth jumping in... however, like One Piece, it's also Toei, so I can see some friction in getting the videos up without issue

Dragon Ball, Dragon Ball Z, and Dragon Ball Super would be a great replacement for MHA. It will keep you busy for awhile. (Ignore Dragon Ball GT--it's not canon according to the author, though fan opinion differs. I frankly didn't care for it in the context of Dragon Ball so was happy to hear Super was supposed to replace it).

Dragon Ball/Z would definitely be worthwhile for history sake, though not sure how the pacing would be. I personally would want to throw Yu Yu Hakusho into the ring.

fairy tail could be a good one too after MHA. it's fairly big, with a fairly big fan base. but would not mind Black Clover either.

My MHA slot commendations would be either Iruma-kun or the Toaru franchise. In the sword isekai the protag essentially adopts and becomes the father figure for a girl, i think you'd enjoy that aspect of it, other than that the show quite similar to slime but instead of going wide and running a nation, this protag hyper focuses on supporting just one girl in becoming strong.

Yeah, I would assume that Dragon ball would be tough watch for many, but DBZ would probably be pretty popular still. I have watched both multiple times so I would be watching the reactions ether way.

11:00 funny that you mentioned it looking like Code Geass, because that anime is an original CLAMP work. It is the second adaptation of that Manga. And CLAMP was also responsible for the character design for Code Geass, hence the similarities in design

"You and I are Polar Opposites" Openings and endings reaction maybe? There's 2 each and they're super good. Honestly i miss when we had more reactions to openings, there's a lot you heard in top 50's and stuff but for some songs the short showcase doesn't show why it's good. Would love to see something, you could even have community vote 5-10 openings/endings that you haven't seen and react to it in a video

I have waited for almost 2 decades for a Psyren anime, and every year since 2020s with all the garbage isekai anime and other harem anime, I would get mad that Psyren didn't have an anime, those did, so I'm happy that we finally got a Psyren anime.

I would love if you reacted to Dragon Ball. However one issue with it is the sub vs dub debate. No matter which you pick, people will be angry with you. I'm personally team sub, even though I grew up with the dub, because sub has a more accurate story.

Dub watchers surged with covid. So dubs are the primary viewing preference of tourists. Subs where traditionally for serious anime fans and dubs where for newbies and normies. Dubs benefit western financial backers who mean to make Japanese anime more like westernized cartoons. Sanitized for maximum salability. People watch dubs for all sorts of reasons, but dubs come with a lot of western baggage. Much of which can be avoided by simply watching subs.

Not a bad suggestion overall. But sports anime are similar to mecha anime in that they both are hyper specific and have a very narrow audience. The people who love, really, really love it. I get it. They will loyally watch every reaction if posted. So I would suggest it's best to mix it up. Some sports anime in the mix is reasonable and good. But.... A little goes a long ways. People who do not enjoy those anime are going to tune out. Regardless, good rec. But I just think a break from sports and battle shonen anime would be refreshing.

If only Luke's channel wasn't a zoomer farm, lol. So much wisdom here. I could not agree with you any more! But demographics are a thing & we both know zoomer are the prize. Although, zoomers are finding it increasing harder to find and maintain work. Sooo.... All Patreons are going to be under increasing pressure to maintain revenues. As poor people don't have money and Patreon isn't free. Could the power of the purse make Luke consider the older demographic? Maybe not for the rest of 2026. But 2027 is a whole new ball game. lol Dirty Pair, Burst Angel, Maji, Nesikoi, The familiar of Zero, Blast of Tempest, Pretty much any main stream SoL that's prior to covid. And the biggest wish list: Ignoring all of the contemporary slop anime that gets endlessly glazed. In 2026, we are now at +60 airing anime every season. Simple statistics would suggest that most of these shows will only appeal a tiny core audience. So older franchises make much more sense now b/c they attract more paying customers.

I enjoyed Fairy Tail, but any long running anime causes disenfranchisement. People move on when you're not watching a show they enjoy. So a hyper focus on any one genre will risk viewer erosion and decreased revenues. Battle shonen has it's place in the mix, but it shouldn't be the whole mix.

Dragon ball would be a great replacement for MHA. I remember waking up early every morning to watch dragon ball at 5am when I was a kid some 20 something years ago. Some other recommendations are: Fairy Tail, Black Clover, the Fate series. I'm sure I missed some good ones, but there are many anime that could fill the spot. Cant wait to see what's next, I love your reactions!

There is a secret third option: Chihayafuru, a sports JOSEI anime Although honestly, we should have some shojo (or josei) anime on this channel every once in a while to develop some emotions

@slipstream, I can tell you're not someone who watches all his content. Luke said indirectly that if "next" series isn't as good as my hero academia or previous 'main channel series' then he stops doing that entirely. Basically you're playing with fire. Why recommend some trashy genre that will produce low views as "main channel series". keep that for for other series. he doesn't mind lower view series as he will keep doing them over time as there is a demand for that but he can't have his "slot" of main anime be some small fry stuff. The goal is "keep luke react to anime". The main series he react should be the biggest he can possible react to and then secondary anime can be "variety" . You can get your haikyuu or whatever when he reacts on stream, isn't that "variety"? If you pick a sport anime and it will perform trash or a love romance or whatever and then he says: "ok done , no more main channel animes slots" . You basically "lost" a fking anime slot permanently. Where is the WIN in that. Who cares if the main slot is always shounen if you get diversity in his 2nd channel. Do we need a main slot to be veggies cuz too much meat is bad for your health? . In this case the health of a channel is decided people and views, lower views but healthier diet means might as well "die" cuz that's more unhealthy than full meat. I am agressive but hope you understand , you are playing with fire.

@SlipStream. I want the series that will keep alive the next main channel slot. I do not "care" which anime or genre it is as long as it produces views and luke doesn't drop that anime slot permanently. SO picking based on popularity and what will produce the most views is the correct option here.

You picked my hero academia right kinda while it was "hot". Both black clover and Dragon ball right now are "hot" (new releases). I think adding both in a poll make most sense. Personally I believe that Back clover make most sense cuz it starts in 2026 and ends in 2027 so by the time u finish Mha you start black clover and you get on the black clover hype ride late 2027

i really dont know why you'd think no one wants another anime in that slot. You are barely halfway in MHA so ofc less people will recommend other stuff, that just doesnt make sense. Unless its bait to fomo the viewership, which, eeh, you do you. But there are so many other shows and you are still behind on shows from the beginning of the year, so maybe ask when you are at the last season, you'll gaige the response more accurately.
