The only problem for me is that the father of Eri was told to us that he got 'rewound out of existence' when she accidentally used her power on him. But now, Eraser Head is telling them that Eri's parents abandoned her. That is half a lie imo. Weird to say the least! :/

Something I like about My Hero Academia that often goes unpraised is how subtly things are mentioned a while before we get introduced to it fully. Tokoyami mentioned already that he did his internship with Hawks earlier in the season and Kirishima already said he was inspired by Crimson Riot in Season 1. Rewatching and seeing those things makes me appreciate the little seeds Horikoshi put out there.

its not about the third movies relevance to whats going on, movie 2 has a major reveal that is relevant to the starting arc of S5, it'll be pushed off until after that arc. this has little consequence of order.

I dont think he meant that literally. Just meant it as "mom abandoned her" since her father died. If i dont remember it wrong, her granddad did say her mother did abandon her. The heroes probably dont know any of that though. Might simply assume she was abandoned or just mean the mother.

The 2nd movie, chronology, is after the 1st part of S5 and the 3rd movie takes places long too long after that

From what I've been able to find the earliest (and arguably intended) time to watch Hereos Rising is upon the completion of season 4, and no earlier. That said, canonically it also seems to "fit" in any time before S5 epsiode 13 without disrupting the storyline. The absolute latest suggested time seems to be before S5 episode 24. For what its worth, Crunchyroll recommends watching it at the end of season 4. Unrelated: i am STOKED for the next episodeeeeeeee

I think the timing is a bit wobbly and flexible, in that from the outside it seems to fit most organically at the end of season 4, but within the world the timeline seems to technically fit best right between s5 episodes 12 and 13. I think either of those two options work, though i vote for before season 5 lol
