I almost always preffer sub for anime but for cyberpunk dub is just the best way imo since in japanese you miss out on all the cyberpunk slang and the accents, and this season dub is especially good.

rosouekBoTak

Why no dub? Jp is fine btw, before I get shot

Exelion AI

The way that music gets associated with other media is so interesting. I'm sure many have "This Fire" associated with S1 of this show, but that simply was not possible for me, For me it had already been deeply associated elsewhere as one of the best songs in one of the best racing games of all time: Burnout 3. The song works incredibly well in both cases, but Imagine my shock and whiplash when i heard that song in Edgerunners after hearing it for almost two decades elsewhere. xD

SamJaz

Cyberpunk specifically you really want to be watching in Dub choom. You’re missing out on the preem slang.

Potter889

I enjoyed the dub a bit more, but it's up to whatever everyone wants

Kiwi

Darkest… chill out Luke lmao

Majoz

One of the only shows u should watch in dub

mjaomjao2

Just finished the season, slightly short of season 1 but still really good.

Marlon Albrecht

i mean the subs also have the slang just as text, both sub and dub is equally good for this schow so it makes no diffrence what he watches and he wont miss anything by watching sub because the subtitels also have the ingame lingo

David R.

Wasn't expecting to see that one here so soon, nice! I watched 3 eps and this one is really good, different from Season 1 and in a great way IMO!

Sammy Giraffe

I'd prefer dub yea. always solid with punk

DRACO

Dub next time! This is from a daily sub watcher. Cyberpunk Edgerunners dub always slaps!

LoneWolf

You don't have played the Game, right? Maelstrom having fun capturing people and give them some Chrome. Not in a good way...

Phyco

IMO You def should watch it in dub, it fits the world so much (since it obviously is an american thing)

Jam

first and last time I say this but dub is genuinely better than the sub

Kindyh Bordat

Sorry, cyberpunk is the only Anime I can't watch in Japanese. So I won't be watching the reactions choom

Lord Nawias

I'm probably in the minority but I just love how sub deliveres emotional voices, they hit really hard

DrA

I can't wait for the update for the game next week!!

Tony Tony Chopper

I watched both seasons in sub, so I’m biased towards sub. Most reactions are in dub so I can say it’s pretty good as well.

sauce

If he watched any other show in sub then switched to dub for the second season yall would be tearing his head off.

MattkisH

Please continue in sub

Dub in cyberpunk is pretty important due to all the lingo they use as well as different races and cultures,

Logan Houseman

PLEASE DO DUB! The subs voice acting is top notch, but since the game is in english (mostly), it helps me feel more connected to Night City.

MafiaEngine

JP voice acting is much better, as always

Misustar

switch to eng DUB !! much better

Juho Kaartoaho

Can't say for sure as someone who doesn't speak fluent Japanese, but it really feels like it's missing the "edge" from the dialog since I can't pick the nuances from the dialog as well. Also since the game and show is set up in USA it is way more fitting for the show to be watched in dub. Really hoping for switch to dub for future episodes.

nick v

i prefer Sub, But i am fine with ether as long as you are willing to continue watching this season.

Barbietube

I hope you watch it in dub

Fatalistic Viking

Honestly edgerunners is far from being that dark. There's a 3 episode arc in Black Lagoon called The Vampire Twins, that's darker than pretty much everything you've seen. Black Lagoon is one of the darkest anime around, and the vampire twins arc is easily one of, if not the darkest arc in anime. I've seen a lot of comments where people said that they had to take a break from watching the series because of how dark it got. What makes it so insanely dark is that it's based on one of the most atrocious historical events to occur in modern times. I also truly think that everyone should see it because it shines a light on said historical event. An event most people don't even know that it happened. The event is Romania's Lost Children.

Fatalistic Viking

I've noticed that edgerunners is trying to be even more like Ghost in the Shell, like visuals from the series and character designs. Sadly edgerunners will probably end up being rated better than the new GitS because the new GitS was a lot more complex, deeper and philosophical. I've seen a decent amount of people comment that they preferred edgerunners because of how deep and complex GitS is. It required people to be active viewers to really understand everything but most people are passive viewers. I haven't seen a series get this philosophical and complex since Ergo Proxy, which is the most philosophical anime ever made.

MidasGold

Dub is better for cyberpunk

Narutonemo

Dub does have all the cyberpunk lingo. so it fits better.

Liora

you should try dub since you watched the original in dub, also its made in poland so the english voice actors are actually good

Glitch

Pls react to the dub for this anime lol, it’s goated

v701

commenting for the engagement, hope to see u continue the series xD

Rahzma

I was looking forward to your reaction to this, I hope you continue it on here.

Kobury

I've watched like 4 anime in dub out of my 600+ watched and while the sub is good, the dub is phenomenal and adds so much to it. Just the script in general works better imo. Maybe because it was probably written in english so it's the most natural there

Kobury

Imo subs work fine most of the time but sometimes the dub script is better written i think. For example the bar scene with miguel has better dialog in dub. Maybe because it's English script to Japanese than the usual Japanese script to english; it's hard to make a good translation

Michael Poulsen

While I can definitely agree that the English VA is pretty good, I still think the Japanese VA just has superior delivery. But watch it in whatever way you find more enjoyable. Personally I didn't care missing out on some of the Cyberpunk slang.
