IDLE MOVEMENT MESSING UP POSING
Some of the new idle body movements from v27 were causing too many problems so I made this new update to add more logic behind them, try to fix them & make them interfere with less things.

If you don't like that system you can turn it off in the Idle Body Movement tab by unchecking "Enable Idle Movement". It's not going to work under all circumstances because there can be multiple things competing to update the same controllers. It's meant for simple & casual look-at purposes, for animations & more complicated things with other plugins recommend is to turn it off.

SOUND ASSET ERROR MESSAGE
There's a known bug regarding the assetbundle sounds, you might get an error like "couldn't load alivesounds.assetbundle". I think it's a cache issue regarding bundles with the same name or something like that. If you load Alive v28 sound will work, if you load after it Alive v27 sound for that won't work.  The other way around too. Basically it works for the first version of the plugin you load in that vam session. I'll try to find a fix for that too but wanted to let you guys know in case you're switching between different versions that you might encounter that.

CHANGELOG V28
- detect manual movement of controllers, reset idle body movement on detection and add cooldown to prevent jerky movement & conflict
- detect pose changes by drastic controllers movement and reset idle movement on detection to prevent 'leftover' idle movement animation messing up the new pose

Hey, some little feedbacks : Can you add a way to disable the move marker (flag system), sometimes it s getting in way when wanting to select the head and we change the position of the person without wanting to. It'll be cool to have a sort of a subscene menu for the quick action without entering the settings each time too. I don't know if it's possible differents sliders for the sounds volume ? the moaning /breathing is very low compared to the others sounds. A speed randomization option for the auto-bj, auto-ride will be nice. Anyway, had a lot of fun testing the v27 version, nice that you fixed the pose bugs :)

SPQRAeternum

regarding sounds, no matter what I do someone will not like it. i could do DIY volume sliders for everything but im afraid it would overcomplicate things, create bugs, make it harder to maintain it and update it and try to avoid that. i'll try to figure something out

Dakoto

Oh yes exactly like that xD. For the Enable teleport i disabled it yesterday but it didn t change anything, so maybe it s a problem on my part, i ll check it again and let you know.

Thanks for the quick fixes. Seems to have resolved my issues with re-posing.

Keep going this is getting more and more awesome! What are the 3 objects that appear when loading Alive, the white square and other 2 blue objects?

SPQRAeternum

thank you! the cylinder & the sphere are the flag used for teleporting the person, vam just creates them with the default settings at first which are the standard size & blue shape. The square is a textbox that holds a random string generated when the plugin loads. It's used to identify if the plugin has been destroyed/reloaded to prevent collision stuff initiated by the plugin stacking up and causing issues

General question about the plugin, I really like the ticklish plugin and use it with alive. One thing I like about it is in the audio setting, I can select chances to play for light med and hard?. Can there be something in alive like that for tease, caress and (I forgot the hard ones name) in the audio settings?

SPQRAeternum

I'll keep it in mind but probably no, sorry. there were options for that in the past and people found them confusing, they'd be even more so confusing now as there are more systems influencing those sounds the direction i'm trying to go with Alive is towards casual & fun play and make it less about DIY and build-your-own-game kind of thing. Adding & maintaining options like that is not a path I plan revisiting.

SPQRAeternum

but we'll see how the new ui holds up, I might add there some advanced settings that allow advanced users/creators to micromange internal things like that if they really really want to. if so, it's gonna be a small/hidden thing. i don't want it to be used as a creator tool for that purpose because it's not built for that for example you can use my ExtraTriggers & MacGruber's abaudio plugin from logicbricks to do your own custom sounds things and it takes minutes to setup if you want to do very custom scenarios

Ok, fair enough. Like most people, I use many plugins, and depending on them to work well together require tweaks on the plugins. No question with your plugins, others, and the unbelievable amount of even just free scenes and amazing looks keep VAM itself alive and growing. I really need to look more at some of your other plugins, and the logic bricks. I need a 30 hour day.

SPQRAeternum

I wouldn't bet that most people use lots of plugins, many things indicate otherwise My focus is on complex features with 0 setup. I also share advanced plugins that do things that couldn't be done before in VAM. I try to stay away from personalized middle-level DIY tools because that doesn't bring anything new to the table from my pov. It only saves a few people a few minutes. People that want to mod vam to do new complex stuff are better off learning how to mod/code or look into the existing plugins that are more abstract, rather than try to mix up cherry picked features from bigger plugins that are not meant to be compatible imo

I understand what you are saying, but I now have a selection of plugins I use (Many yours), in presets that give unbelievable results. At a minimum VAM is 10x better then when I first started using it, no kidding. You are doing things that had not been done before. When I retire, which is still years away, I will look into coding, etc (I do tinker a little, changing code to do what I want if I cannot get it in the game, like removing things I do not like). I did have a question. I am on only v26 of alive I think, if I move to the newer ones, and it screws up my jimmy rig with the other plugins, will just removing the VAR get me back to the earlier version? I know in some cases I may have unzipped it and manually moved it. Also, your posing has really changed things for me, a new level. I use the head, arms, or upper part of body. 95% of the time the move works. I have it randomized both time and pose. Some of your head and eye work, is truly top notch, however, with other plugins, its a little hard to tell what is doing what. Maybe add, hand and finger posing? Or allow multiple selections. like head and left armat the same time. IDK LOL I know you are working on other great stuff. I will check out your newer versions over weekend. I did see in one of someones posts, there might be issues with posing in the newer version. Thats what had me concerned. I will skip v27 and go right to v28.

Best Alive yet!

Hey SPQR. The SPQR used to be a Rome Faction in Rome Total War. Anyway. A little funny fact, - a first person where i thought to myself, - ,,Woah, this guy deserves some support'' AND then i find out that you're the one who made Alive and few other things that im using. One question tho, is there a way to add more voice choices in Alive & how to turn off the facial expressions during the fun ? Because some of those messes up those pretty faces really bad, mouth opens in a U/O shape and from beauty queen u got a demonic creature. That's it for now and thanks.

SPQRAeternum

thanks! you can turn down how strong the touch expressions go in Touch Expressions and turning down the Morph Factor sliders (tease morph factor, aroused morph factor, discomfort morph factor). you can also disable Enable Touch Expressions there to reduce some of the expressions but at the end of the day it depends a lot on the model. Because vam expressions are kinda lacking, a lot of people myself included did and do models that already sort of have expressions by default instead of having a normal boring resting face. For some of those models things are gonna still look weird no matter what No voice choices at the moment
