My hero + Buddyfight Cross parody : Yaoi

Deku and the Mighty Sun Fighter

Izuku knew from a young age the world was not equal. Quirks existed and those with powers became the norm. As humanity does what it does. Those with more powerful quirks and flashy quirks grew more popular. He meets a boy not only with a flashy and powerful quirk, but also has intense skills. He takes Izuku under his wing and helps train his vessel.

Chapter 1 The Sun Rises

Izuku Midoriya learned from a young age not all were equal. People could be born with innate talents and blessings from genetics. Quirk factors could pass on from bloodlines, some quirks blended and mixed together forming new ones, enhanced ones, or hybridizing to make up for weaknesses.

His best friend Katsuki Bakugou, his quirk manifested early. Explosion, it allowed him to produce a nitroglycerin-like sweat which he could detonate. He was smart, cool, brave, and tough, a lot of the kids looked up to him and saw him as a leader. Teachers praised him for his talents and it did cause him to develop a bit of an ego. His parents tried to keep him grounded but the world kept feeding his ego.

They both looked up to the Hero All Might, the Symbol of Peace. Though they both looked up to him it was for very different reasons. Bakugou saw him as a hero who always wins, his great strength crushing every villain. For the young blonde he was a pillar of victory, always able to win. For Izuku he was a brave hero who always saved people with a fearless smile.

One man inspired both boys, and set them both on very different paths. Izuku wanted to help and save people, embracing a very generous and kind nature. Katsuki saw things as a competition, he saw challenges as stepping into the same ring as him and the boy fought for full and complete victory.

This led to a conflict between the two, it started when they were young, Katsuki had led the group to go villain hunting “bug hunting”. He had slipped on a log, and while he was fine, Izuku rushed to help him, was worried about him.

Bakugou saw it as Izuku looking down on him, this was the crack in their relationship. Izuku hadn’t manifested a quirk and according to a doctor he wouldn’t. So Quirkless Izuku trying to save someone as “great” and “awesome” as Katsuki it set him off.

The rift grew over time. They went to the park and a kid was hogging one of the areas. Izuku had tried to play on it and the kid pushed him away. Katsuki asked for it and the boy refused. Challenge accepted, they fought as kids do but Katsuki took it too far. “Why are you being so mean, he’s crying Kacchan!”

‘Why is he taking his side!?’ Bakugou didn’t understand, he couldn’t see he crossed a line and took things too far. Izuku saw someone crying and even though he’d been mean to him, that didn’t shake Izuku’s caring heart. “So you think you can stand in the same ring as me Deku?!”

Izuku got jumped, even without a quirk it had been three on one. “Hold it!” A voice rang out.

“Huh?” Red eyes turned and standing high, basking in the sunshine was a duo haired boy. “Who the heck are you?”

“I’m not a hero yet, but I am the Mighty Sun Fighter!”

This boy is Gao Mikado, his quirk...Sunshine! His body absorbs solar energy and he can use it to enhance his body or project it like sun beams, but projection drains the energy faster.

“Eclipsing the Darkness With Flames...and Brightening the Hearts Of the Mistreated…”

“Bakugou I think this kid has lost his marbles.” The boy with long fingers said.

“The Mighty Sun Fighter is here!” Gao took a striking pose.

Izuku’s eyes sparkled at the heroic entrance. “Crap like that went out with the silver age moron.” Katsuki grumbled though even he’d mentally admit that was a smooth hero intro.

“Shall we fight to see who is right?”

“Bring it on!” Katsuki roared, his palms bursting with small explosions.

-x- 5 minutes later-x-

Katsuki’s wingmen were down on the ground. “What...is he…?” Bakugou was brought to his knees.

“No way...I didn’t lose...I can’t…”

“If you want to keep fighting we can the results will be the same.” Bakugou glared.

“Raaahhh!”

-x-10 Minutes later-x-

The blonde was down on the ground. ‘He’s so strong!’ His hands balled into fists.

‘Kacchan lost…’ Izuku was stunned. He’d seen older boys lose to Katsuki, he was roughed up but he still won.

Mikado was their age and he was handling Bakugou like nothing. “It’s not over...I can still win!”

“You can’t win!” Gao said firmly. “But you’d already lost before I got here.”

“Huh?”

“You lost the moment you bared your fangs at a friend, our strength exists to protect those close to us, not to feed your own ego. You lost!” Katsuki felt a mix of shame and anger and confusing emotions. He only respected the strong and those of authority, Gao had bested him.

It wasn’t just his quirk either, the boy had a special strength for one so young. Katsuki had to admit defeat.

Gao helped Izuku up. “You were amazing!”

“Heh, thanks, are you okay?”

“Yeah...thanks for helping me!”

“I was happy to help, I don’t care for bullies.” He looked at Izuku. “Why didn’t you use your quirk to protect yourself?”

Izuku paused. “I...I don’t have a quirk…”

Mikado blinked. “You’re quirkless?” Izuku nodded. His body language said it all, he was waiting for the rejection, to be looked down on. Everyone in class even his teachers looked down on him in pity.

Gao grabbed his shoulders. “You...You are quirkless...and you still stood up to three guys with quirks?”

“I...oh...yeah...I did…” Mikado smiled.

“That’s some fighting spirit, you should come to our dojo.”

“Huh?” Izuku blinked.

“I’ve been training since I was five years old, mom started me off through meditation, vessel training (healthy eating and exercise), and I just started strength training and technique training.”

Izuku blinked. “So those moves...that was martial arts?”

Gao nodded. “You might not have a quirk, but maybe you can learn to defend yourself and protect others.” Those words meant more to Izuku than anything.

So many people heard about his dream of wanting to be a hero and when he presented as quirkless he was swiftly dismissed. Even his mother, bless her simply apologized when he asked her if he could still be a hero. His dreams were seen as impossible. Since he was quirkless he was told to become an officer or a nurse or a fire fighter, still noble professions. It just wasn’t what Izuku wanted.

He wasn’t stupid, there were some fights he couldn’t win without a quirk, there were just realistic expectations, but the message was messy when a boy who’s only quirk was extending his fingers thought he’d make a better hero JUST because he had a quirk. Izuku fully believed Katsuki would make a good hero one day, not because of just having his quirk but because of his drive, strength, and intellect. His popularity would suffer if he didn’t get his personality in check. It hurt no one saw Izuku beyond his quirkless nature, but here was Mikado.

-x-

Izuku ended up going to Mikado’s family dojo. He had a pretty large family, Granny - Hanae Juumonji, had Warm Glow, she produced a warm light from her hands, it had a calming and relaxing effect. Suzumi Mikado her quirk Starlight, she could produce small light orbs, she could really light up a room. Her quirk wasn’t offensive but she dedicated her life to martial arts, she was strong enough to bring down an opponent three times her size.

Takashi Mikado, his quirk Light Absorb, his body could absorb various forms of light and convert it into energy.

Hanako Mikado didn’t have a quirk yet but she was still young. Her quirk would manifest a year later Dazzling Gleam she could produce a rainbow light that burst from her hands. Gao has an older brother Yota, he had been the heir to the Mikado School, but an illness wracked his body. He moves around in a wheelchair, his quirk Moonlight, his body can absorb the special light radiation from the moon, but due to his constitution it helps him function, on nights of the full moon he’s actually super charged.

Yota despite his issues is pursuing his dream of being a mangaka, he also stays in the hero game as a costume designer. Some of his designs are used by a few major heroes.

Izuku joined the dojo. Suzumi took him under her wing and got him started with the basics, meditation and the works. Izuku also studied by observing Gao and Suzumi training the other students.

Once it was time for vessel training Izuku was doing intense exercise and strength training. Since he was older than when Gao started he was given a regimen for his age.

Mikado was impressive he was able to take on opponents twice his size even without his quirk. As Izuku was moving past the basics Gao was moving into technique training.

He told Suzumi his dream so he had him do special training. “You want to rescue people so you need to build the strength needed to help, it could be a car accident, a building collapse, and so on so you need to rally the strength to do more.” She showed it by moving a parked car.

“Whoa!”

“You might have to work harder than others, but even if you are quirkless you aren’t helpless or defenseless.” Izuku cried tears of joy.

As the years passed Izuku’s strength training was getting proper gains and results. Suzuki was a strict teacher, keeping the boy on track with patience and reasonable drive. If he tried to over do it, he was met with the wrath of a blazing sun. The build up helped him develop his vessel properly, not only was he building muscle he was still deceptively strong.

By the age of 15 Izuku could just pick up a refrigerator like it was nothing. The boy’s dedication allowed him to take on Sun Breathing, a special breathing technique that allowed Izuku to harness his strength and ability. It was like harnessing adrenaline like a solar flare, the breathing technique helped him regulate his energy, so he could fight and work out longer.

Gao was the closest in Izuku’s orbit to see his growth and potential, and if fools wanted to dismiss him because he was quirkless their loss was his gain.

To be continued...Sparring and Bath
