“Brother Ye Xen, thank you for your assistance in defeating the Giant Blue Armed Apes. Without the experts you brought, it would have been very difficult for us to handle them without their help!” Chen Linjan spoke up as the group continued towards the location of the Ancient Orchid City Ruins. They could see them in the distance, but they were still a few hours away from the site.

“Don’t worry brother, it was not a big deal,” Ye Xen said with a confident smile as he moved in front of Ziyun and Ning’er, both of whom were looking at him with eyes full of admiration.

“At this rate we shall reach the ruins by night, so let us hurry up,” the scout group that had went ahead explained as they came back.

Soon, the group began moving towards the site but Ye Xen stayed back. He knew that something was going to happen soon, and he needed that for his next moves against the Dark Guild and the Sacred Family.

He whispered to one of the shadows hiding behind the tree, “I can sense a group of experts not affiliated with us, a few hundred meters to our left, capture them and seal them away with the scrolls I provided you. Under no circumstances are they to escape or kill themselves.” The shadow grunted and disappeared. That was a Black-Gold Rank Expert, sent to keep him and Ziyun safe, but he could handle himself. The task at hand was more important.

~ Later, at night ~

After 4 hours of constant travelling, they had finally reached the site. The main compound where Ye Xen had predicted they would most likely find the treasures.

“Brother Chen, I think it would be better if all of us split up into groups and search for a hidden entrance or compound that the experts might have used to hold their treasures,” Ye Xen suggested.

His idea was met with approvals and soon groups formed. Both Ziyun and Ning’er wanted to be in his group, but he had already slipped away, not wanting to deal with the drama.

But he wasn’t subtle enough since he purposely let himself be seen by Huyan Lanruo, the next women he wanted for his harem. Honestly, he would have seduced her long ago, but she was too loud and arrogant for his taste. He wanted to tone her down a bit.

Soon he arrived in front of the tablet that read Emperor Kong Ming’s words. He didn’t even have to turn around to know who it was. He simply waved his hand at her, gesturing her to follow him. Before long, both of them were past the tablet and were just about to enter the palace, but before they could, the ground beneath them collapsed.

Unlike what happened in canon, none of them panicked since both were Silver Ranked experts and calmly landed on the floor below. Using his storage ring, he brought out a torch before turning towards Huyan Lanruo and questioned her, “Why are you following me? I think I have made it clear I am not interested in you.”

“Humph! Nobody is NOT interested in a beauty like me! I won’t have it,” Hyuan Lanruo said, pouting at the way he dismissed her completely. She even dressed in more revealing clothing than usual for him!

“Whatever. As long as you don’t bother me, you can follow me,” he said as he moved forward. If he had looked back, he would have seen his companion with a red face as she stamped the floor and then angrily started following him.
