0.15 Progress Report - Week 1 (Patreon)
Content
Your handler just got a lot less annoying.
If you've been playing diligently — reporting intel, training at Spy School, picking up equipment — you've probably noticed how many days you burn just traveling to EROS HQ and back. Report something, go home. Pick up a training, go home. Get a new directive, go home.
Not anymore.
Starting in v0.15, a single trip to EROS covers everything: dump all your pending reports, train if there's a slot, receive any new directives — one day, one visit. We ran the numbers, and this change saves a diligent player roughly 8–11 days across Act I. That's days you can now spend actually doing the job instead of commuting.
This was one of several under-the-hood improvements we've been building this week. Here's the full picture.
WHAT'S NEW THIS WEEK
Hotfixes 0.14.1 and 0.14.2 dropped within days of release. A bug in the EROS evaluation sequence, a passage routing issue after the Big Event, and several smaller fixes flagged by the community — all patched.
If something's broken, tell us. We move fast on those.
We've also started a Prologue proof-and-clean pass.
If you played Blue Swallow early on, some of the oldest content — Childhood, parts of High School — was written before we really found the voice. I was tired, overworked and trying to churn out a lot of paths all at once. We've had tons of comments about purple-prose and the like. Now, I'm going through it with a fine-tooth comb: tightening prose, improving pacing, cutting bloat, and making sure newer systems (like the mother's presence throughout) are woven in properly. The goal isn't to change the story — it's to make the first impression match the quality of what comes later.
And from the art side: new pop-up notification animations are in.
These replace the old static notifications with something that actually feels like part of the game.
WHAT'S BUILDING
v0.15 is scoped, outlined, and in active composition. Nine content workstreams have approved outlines. We're not ready to reveal all of them yet — some are better experienced blind — but I'll be sharing more over the coming weeks.
One thing I can say: the next build asks a question the game hasn't asked before. What do you bring with you when you walk out the door?
More next week.
COMMUNITY
Bug reports keep coming in and we appreciate every one of them. If you hit something, drop it in #bug-extermination on Discord — we're checking daily.
The fan content contest is still open. We've received exactly one submissions. I'm starting to take that personally ;)
