At first blush I'm loving master 01 (reading is hard) more. When I get a chance to I'm going to sit and give it my full attention and take some notes.

After listening to them both half a dozen times I think I still like Draft 1 Master 2 more. Some of the new draft’s pitch jumps took me out of the verse, or added just enough reverb/static that my head started to hurt/feel discomfort listening to it in other places.

Okay gonna have to give these both a much more in-depth listen to tomorrow when I’m not at the end of my wake cycle. One listen through each and I liked master 02 better I think. Listened to the original first as a control and the base feels a little too much in both masters in comparison? It’s not actually bad it’s just different and I suspect my brain is failing to adjust. Like I said I need to give them more attention later. Super excited this is my favorite of your songs (or at least the one I say is my favorite so I don’t break my brain trying to juggle 7 different songs in that position)

I’m on the right kind of drugs for this right now I think. Preface that How to Build became one of my favourite tracks of yours after your trouble with Spotify and I could actually listen to it, now I listen to it a lot. Listened in order: D2M01, Cyberpink version, D2M01, D1M02, CyPk version, D1M02, D2M01. I prefer D1M02, I think in D2M01 the changes cause it to feel slightly slower and less driving to an inevitable conclusion, which is what I liked about the original. I like some of the pitch changes that happen in D2M01 but I prefer the cleaner opening of D1M02/original, maybe that the early ones in the opening “spoiler” the ones that occur later on to my mind.
