An update on my little man (Patreon)

We had our 24-hour checkup today. I was so nervous, and it felt awful putting him back into the kitty carrier and taking him there again. But it was quick, and we got nothing but good news. It'll be a few months before we know if his enlarged heart is permanent heart disease or just a reaction to anesthesia, but he's responding well to the medication he came home with. He's already starting to talk again, and he cuddled me last night. Poor baby smelled like pee—but that's his pee smell, and I don't mind at all. I'm just so glad he's home.Going forward, he needs meds every few hours. Like I said, it's basically like having an infant now—I'm constantly checking on him, waking up throughout the night to care for him—so expect me to be a bit less productive for at least the rest of this month.I do have some stuff in the vault, and I'll probably have time to tackle easier projects, like remastering old tracks with my new software, but bigger things are on hold for now.My focus is shifting toward projects that don't require inspiration from the muses—like working with my artists on videos for Baptize Me in Gas, Burlington, and Before You Go.As for I Wanna Be Sororitas, I originally planned to release it today as an EP titled Nuns with Guns, along with Baptize Me in Gas because of its religious references. However, I realized the artwork Nik created needs adjustments to avoid trouble with Games Workshop. Nik's already making some quick edits, so that EP should be out by the end of next week.Over the next 3–6 months, I'm planning to release my best songs as singles, eventually leading up to two EPs—Burlington and Sapphic Oscillation. My music lately has fallen into two categories: gay shit/battle girls, and stuff that's close to my heart.I really want to make Reverse Vampire happen, though. This past week has shown me how much I need that song—and honestly, everyone who's ever loved anyone probably needs it, too. I'll likely rewrite it completely from the first few measures—or maybe just start fresh altogether.Anyway, that's where we're at. Thank you all so much for supporting me through this. Many of you donated towards his medical bills (which totaled around ~$5000), and seriously, every bit helped immensely. I think I have it covered now. Thank you, everyone, for helping save my child's life. I could never repay something like that, but finishing Reverse Vampire feels like the right start. Not exactly for y’all—for me. I need to. I have to. No matter how hard it is. My baby fought so hard to come home to me, and...I'm blessed. Truly blessed. To have him. To have all of you as fans. I love y'all so much.Happy-cryingly yours,Charli 🍪🖤🐈
