I choose receptivity without apology.

My pleasure does not require effort to be valid.

I am not broken because my joy arrives through being touched rather than doing the touching.

My body is not a tool for performance. It is a place where sensation is allowed to happen.

Consent is my first action.

After that, I allow experience to move through me without management, guilt, or repayment.

I do not measure my worth by output, endurance, or reciprocity.

Alignment matters more than symmetry.

When I receive fully, I am not taking.

I am participating in a shared desire that was freely chosen.

My openness is not passivity.

It is trust made visible.

I do not owe effort where presence is what is wanted.

I do not diminish myself to feel fair.

If my pleasure is intense, that does not make it excessive.

It makes it honest.

I honor the joy of those who give by letting myself feel what they are giving.

I do not interrupt that joy with shame.

My role is not lesser because it is quiet.

My role is not empty because it is receptive.

What happens to my body happens because I allow it.

That allowance is my agency.

I am allowed to rest inside pleasure.

I am allowed to be the one who is received.

I wrote this because I need to remind myself that my partners chose me, in part, because I prefer to receive than give; not in spite of it. Sometimes, I feel guilty about how good I feel, but I shouldn't. Not when my openness to pleasure is the basis of their reward system. I have to remind myself that the best thing I can do for people who prefer to give, is to accept what they offer without guilt or insistence that I make things fair by giving them something that neither of us necessarily want.

Yeah I am deeply familiar with this kind of struggle with myself, sometimes even this exact struggle about letting myself accept something that is given to me freely And there is something… profoundly freeing about utter acceptance

I wonder if perhaps it is because I love feeling good so much that it's hard for me to believe anyone would give this up to provide it.

Reminds me in a way of the Bene Gesserit "Litany Against Fear" from Dune. It is that powerful while being simple things to follow. Love it.
