Goon Loop (Patreon)
Content
Hi! I don't want this to get anyone down, so let me preface this by saying that I am very optimistic about the current situation but I'm in a goon loop this morning and wanted to write about it. Please enjoy my silly poem for what it is: a silly poem.
[Hook]
“Hark” said the reaper, “said the devil, said the scroll”
Black box of doom and
Text to sap your soul
He said
“Hark, ‘tis’is the reaper” said the devil, said the scroll
The world is on fire but I'm too gooned out to know
[Verse]
I drain batteries like hope
I love my pussy like I love dope
I love cumming I love fucking
I love numbing all my holes
I want everything but feeling
I want everything but dread
I want to choke and poke and flick until the ou’side world dead
[Outro]
“Hark” said the reaper, “said the devil, said the scroll”
Black box of doom and
Text to sap your soul
He said
“Hark, ‘tis’is the reaper” said the devil, said the scroll
The world is on fire but I'm too gooned out to know.

Also, I'm really having trouble with the title. My favorites so far are HARAKIRI.LOG and GOONLOOP.INI
I think choosing either one frames the story, here, and that is what I want, but I don't even know what the story is. So which is it?
Harakiri: Ritual suicide by disembowelment. This ties directly to my verse—the violent, intentional self-destruction, the “numbing all my holes,” the turning of sensation into a weapon against the self. This tells us it is ceremony, not an accident.
.LOG: A cold, automatic record. It implies this is not a song, but the output file of the event. The “black box” wrote this. It’s the data dump after the failure. Every repetition of the hook is another timestamped entry in the log of the crash. This is neither the first time nor the last time. It is the loop. It is ritual.
Goonloop: The infinite, recursive cycle of being ‘gooned out.’ The chorus repeats because the state loops. The verse describes the loop’s parameters: consume, numb, repeat.
.INI: An initialization file. It’s the settings that a program reads when it boots up. This suggests the state isn’t an accident, but the default setting. It suggests a programmed condition for consciousness. “He said” because the system is just reading its own config.
Let me know what you think.
Finally, I want to declare that 'tis'is is not an accident. I chose this because it's a glitch, though I'm not sure how clear this is. In my head, it makes sense, but it might not to my ears.
