So yesterday, with the Holdfast gag finished, I sat down to have a look at some of my recent stream footage and played with another idea for a video. This isn't for right this moment, but for at some point in the future.

Over the last weekend I streamed a game called Star Wars Rebellion (1998). In which I played as The Galactic Empire attempting to defeat The Rebel Alliance, set just after the first Star Wars film.

One of the strategic objectives was the capture of Luke Skywalker, which turned out to be extremely tricky. Eventually necessitating having to take over (more or less) the entire galaxy in order to finally locate him on the last possible world in a distant part of the galaxy.

I was thinking of doing a supercut of all of the times I openly pondered "where the hell is Skywalker?", which numbered in the dozens. Starting off fairly neutrally and ending up with yelling "WHERE THE FUCK IS SKYWALKER" on STILL failing to find him at the end of the game. Adding various moments of silliness to the cut, such as my reactions to the news that Chewbacca kept escaping prison, despite being the most conspicuous character in the setting. Or how a diplomat I sent to convince a planet to join The Empire instead convinced them to join the Rebellion. That sort of thing.

With that supercut I was planning on doing another cartoon. Showing my Womble character dressed up like an Imperial Officer, with the background changing to the various different planets and locations within Star Wars, alongside each utterance of "where the hell is Skywalker?". A little bit like that Adam Jensen supercut where the background changes around the central character. Within which there can be lots of visual gags and background silliness.

This is something for later though. I've archived the stream footage on a hard drive for retrieval. I'm also well aware of the fact that I've not successfully finished a single cartoon, which is a bummer. So queuing up yet another one is a tad silly. I do need to get round to finishing the first one from last November, which was Dungeon and Dragons. And then of course I've got the second installment of that still to edit.

Lots to do in the future!

I think that would be a good plan. Wait wut, there are "other" cartoons?

AcidVash

As long as that moment you saw him is in there, it will be all worth it.

Martin

We want that. Now. 😉

Camo

Sounds great womble

I love the idea of a small format video in the likes of your last one. My only question, regarding your ideas. Will the video fully be a cartoon ? Or do you plan to mix and match cartoon with your game footage ? Couldn't you do a supercut of the game footage directly ? The cartoon aspect seems really overkill to me. And imho the game footage would be way more efficient in terms of comicality. Moreso if you don't think you can finish it.

Emil G

Well why dont you finish the first cartoon as your next project?

I think a gameplay cut would be closer to what people are used to, but if you want to do a cartoon I think shitty MS paint would be more commedic than properly drawn and animated.

PizzaDiPasta123

It sounds really funny - I love it :D take the time you need with it though, no need to stress :)

The Anti-Thule

I love this idea. I’d look forward to seeing it.

Daniel Baxter

This is perfect! You got to have Luke in his eye patch next standing next to you on the super destroyer . I forgot the name you called him but that would be great to see.

bluespart

Would we also get to hear the daring tales of Lieutenant Walker, Hero of the Empire in that cartoon?

DoomedNightFury

Ah yes, Lieutenant Walker would be a great part of this! Also maybe to save you some time you should just go from the stream footage and edit your character and others on the sides, just a suggestion. I think it would be good.

and the part explaining the gravity ship? where the ship makes navigation go HHHHHUUUUU?
