Apologies, I was supposed to do this update on Monday...but I suck.

So, with the Star Wars Rebellion footage set to one side last Wednesday, at the end of last week I set about reviewing the existing PUBG recordings. And I've come to the same conclusion as before - I have a huge amount of footage for that game.

Each ten minute bullshittery has an average of 30-40 clips. And it appears that I have at least 200 clips of PUBG. That's a rather large backlog.

Additionally, one of my fears is that PUBG's popularity is waning somewhat. Or at least, the actions of its developer are causing people to question whether they should spend their time with it. So it's probably best to get this processed into highlight videos sooner rather than later.

Therefore I've started putting together Random PlayerUnknown's Battlegrounds Bullshittery (part 3) and I'm about 4 days of work into it. Are you guys happy with that?

One caveat. After this bullshittery is done, that would have been:

Random Mount & Blade Bullshittery

Random Arma Bullshittery

Holdfast gag video (similar to a bullshittery)

Random PUBG Bullshittery

Four heavily-edited subtitled videos in a row. So I'd really like to put a big chunk of time into the DayZ video-essays, probably seeing if I can get them complete. This means that at the end of August, I'll likely go radio silent on the public side of things until mid-November.

I'd still be around here of course, providing regular updates and showing you my work so far. But the general public probably won't see the next bullshittery until the start of December. A bit of a lapse, but I really should get at least one of these side projects complete.

For the moment, work continues on PUBG bullshittery. The clips are being arranged in an approximate order and subtitling has already begun in earnest.

In other news, it appears that today I've crossed over the 3 million sub mark on Youtube. A sincere thank you to you all. Bloomin' heck! Now I need to do the proper thing for an internet celebrity of my caliber. And turn up to a convention drunk, become combative to genuinely constructive criticism and then expose myself to random members of the public before being escorted off the premises

Sounds like a good idea. Regarding both, PUBG and DayZ, for the same reasons. Thanks for the update :-)

or you could crash in a very very very expensive car.... Cy has a McLaren right? ;)

Anthony Charles West

I think you should do the holdfast gag vid mate. And congrats on 3 million subs

Martin

As long as you post regular updates to your patrons, I‘d be okay with you doing the proper youtuber stuff 😉

Pharenir

Womble... I hate to break it to you, but you're a nerdy shut-in. Before you go piss drunk to a convention as "SovietWomble" Trump will admit his faults. I think it's the right choice to finish your DayZ sideproject though. Same reason why you think it would be best to publish the PUBG Bullshittery sooner than later. After this time it stands to reason that most of the audience you could've reached with your critique won't care anymore anyway.

Atsu

For me, the point and fun of these bullshitteries is not the game you're playing, it's whatever crazy situations you get yourselves into, and your reactions from it. The game you're playing is a minor factor. Would be great to see the DayZ stuff finished, as currently it has been sitting there for a while without a proper ending. As long as you push out updates to let us know that you're still alive and Lulu has not begun to eat your face, I think we'll be fine with a little hiatus.

Moritz Winkler

I'm worried that the DayZ commentary is losing relevance. You seem to be very close, and you've just released two bullshitteries - wouldn't it make sense to continue working on the DayZ video for a bit now?

namAehT

Go for it. Don't want you to get burned out doing heavy editing 24/7 Also, if you're going to get drunk and expose yourself do it at Gamescom.

Justin Cox

Fine by me. I think both PUBG and DayZ videos should be done as soon as possible, before they drop out of relevancy.

Jellybean The Brave

I am extremely interested in the DayZ essays. The 2012-2013 era of that game has become infamous among gamers my age (mid 20's), and hearing an experienced gamer's take on it sounds great. It's also a smart change of pace on your content that could end up going better than you expect. On another note, you asked your Twitch viewers the other day if they'd prefer quantity over quality. Don't listen to them. Go quality. There's enough poor content out there and you should be the last one to pull an EA on Youtube.

Jack

The Essays seem like a good idea, but going silent for months does not seem like the best solution. Maybe you could fit a short bullshittery or a gag video inbetween? But you are the best judge of that. Congrats on 3 Million! Please don't hold back on the public exposure.

Ravenchef71

Your plans sound great. Do you boo! Congrats on the 3 million YouTube subs. That's a SOLID £20 a week for beer! Lol

Salt Titan

I'm certainly interested in seeing what comes of the essays, if it takes time it takes time. At this point I don't think most of us care much if it takes a while. Quality is certainly better than pumping out garbage just to get it out; there's a reason I rewatch your vids more often than anyone else I'm subscribed to.

Nicky

Don't forget to rent a plane, let it circle above Frankies house, with a flag behind it reading" na na na na, I've got more subscribers than you" Edit. Never mind, the man has 3.5mil. Hasn't uploaded for a year and still get subscribers

Nur_be2l

I'm looking forward to see the next bullshittery, but you know, take your time. And congrats on the 3 million subs on youtube, it's deserved.

Jakob Brink

For how long have you been working on the DayZ thing by now?

PizzaDiPasta123

Congrats on the 3 million :) I'm also in favor of you finishing the Day Z video(s). The longer you push it back, the longer you will worry about it. You've been working on it for a long time and I believe it's tiring when it's just sitting unfinished at the back of your mind. In the meantime (after PUBG) you could also upload the video that you took for Lulu's birthday, when you have the time to cut/edit that. :) Feel free to take your time with what you do - quality over quantity :)

Aidan David Ward

Congrats on 3, 001, 556 subs at time of writing!! Don't worry about the half life of the game. I would stick my neck out and say 80-95% of your audience is here for the reactions not the game itself. I can't tell you how many times I've watched the Golf it videos because they're just a group of friends dicking around.

Mike Stening (MikeHuntuk)

looking forward to the day-Z essay being completed and congrats on the 3mil sub fella.

Dan Loeb

I'm not paying to dictate what you do, I'm paying to support good content, regardless of what it is. I'm sure others might feel differently, but if you keep doing what you've been doing (humorous videos with comedic/creative use of subtitles) I'll be happy.

DoomedNightFury

Quite interested in the essays my good sir. But what about the possibility of just doing the odd gag video or 2 in-between aug to november? Something like the star wars rebellion lieutenant walker and such and such. If they dont take you long atleast I think they'd be fun.

DudeDontDoDrug

Hi Womble. I watched your whole youtube uploads 62 times in a week and I feel like I can recall every detail, so I decided to pay you money for it. Keep this up thank you!

MagicMax

Hey Womble, sounds good! I'm really curious to see the end result! And congrats on exposing yourself to 3 million members? (I didn't really read the end bit there)
