Hi all!

It's a new month, and with it time for a new chapter in the next Poor Man's Fight. As a brief progress note, the book is now at 117k words... which is somewhat shy of my minimum goal for January (and definitely shy of what I'd hoped). That's the impact of life, weekends, fussing around with ideas, and also that trashfire I talked about in my last post. On a happier note, it's ALSO the impact of finishing work on Cozy Shadows, and Tess Irondale has finished recording it! I'll have updates on that as soon as I have news to share!

Anyway, Chapter Six picks up right where the last chapter left off. (I may need to reconsider my chapter breaks in the final version, but that happens.) This one ends a little heavier than the others... but if it's any consolation, I think despite these elements, the current sequence I'm writing is probably the silliest and most ridiculous moment in the entire series.

Tanner, Lynette, and Lynette's crew are all out of the military. Life's gonna be a little different for all of them now. :)

As always, take care, and thank you so much for being here. It means the world to me.

1. Given this, i think I foresee a career change not only for Tanner, but for Phoebe as well. 2. Given the history of the returning Runners, I think some heavy elements are very much needed. They are the remnants and survivors—fragments—of many different and disparate groups, forced to reintegrate in order to survive.

Becoming the teacher who carries a gun. Like Crowe in The Quick & The Dead without the religious aspect. I really did like several people just saying “Wait for it” when Stray said she’d met several decent humans.
